  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I understand you want to restore the default values of the BIOS. You can restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings or rollback. Restore default BIOS is necessary, if it does not give you the possibility of restoration.

  If you want Windows XP Pro on a new machine, Windows Vista (Business or Ultimate), and then downgrade
  I don't know how many people is aware of this, but if you buy a Windows Vista Business or Ultimate then you can use a Windows XP CD (that you have legal access to) to load Windows XP on this machine.

  When you need the product key / or need to activate, it will potentially fail, but a simple call to with your Vista product key activation center should give you all the details you need. Then, when you're ready to put Vista on this machine, you can do without the purchase of this new cost.   I bought my Satellite with Vista and it would be nice that I would get a XP for free.

  But to be honest I'm not really sure if Microsoft will activate Win XP after buying the Vista operating system. But who knows, maybe you should say with the support of Microsoft.

  Each Toshiba laptop has been delivered with the recovery CD that contains the Microsoft operating system (XP or Vista), drivers Toshiba and utilities.

I know after the upgrade, I had to update the Pages of numbers and Office 2011, but I'm pretty sure that the Office updates were just Microsoft Releases and not related to the update. EL Capitan is not for me, it was good, but Safari Pages load up to 2 or 3 refreshes! Scroll upward and down in open windows programs say as in the Applications or these materials and I have to wait 15 to 20 seconds for this stop (it does on its own, without touching the mouse. More load and speed are reduced to less than a third. And it has happened since the update in November and another iMac with 10.10.5 yet on this subject is not affected by one of this 10.11.2 behavior or my Mac Book Pro. with 10.9 on it.

  You did an OS X Yosemite USB thumb drive Installer? If this is not the case, check your App Store/purchases tab. If OS X Yosemite is in the list and you can download it, then download it and make a thumb (8GB) USB drive installation. The download will place it in your Applications folder (install OS X Yosemite.app). Here is a linkon how to create the installer.

  Win7 for XP > install XP on a Partition different for example E: partition. You can see under 'Computer' C:, E: or F: partitions. Windows will not be downgraded to the same partition.

  If Win 7 took all the space and then reduce it to create the United Nations space partitioned. How to do? Type "compmgmt.msc" on start it > search.

  Access storage disks and see the partitions. Right click on the C: partition (it could be different, must first ensure) that contains the Windows 7 system. then select "shrink"...  Enter the size to reduce for example of 50 GB.

  Insert the XP cd and select "install a new copy.

  Follow the instructions: and where you are prompted to select the partition to install to., select "UN partitioned space. It will be formatted everything first installation can continue.
