How can I download/install a 86-bit (CPU?).

I currently use windows xp and I'm trying to install a particular printer/scanner that says that it is only compatible with the versions of window of x 86.

You don't want a '86-bit processor"(even if such a thing existed).  In general, 'x 86' means the 32-bit Intel-type processors that have existed for a long time (although the original Intel 8086 was a 16-bit processor).  The designation is used to distinguish the newer 64-bit (occasionally referred to as 'x 64') processors.

The printer/scanner you (care to identify it?) will almost certainly work on your version of Windows (care to identify that, too?).
