How can I find a list of corrupted files

I'm unable to save the files on USB keys and I have also some corrupt files.

There is no way to get a list of files corrupt on a memory stick - you just need to check each file to see if it works or it gives you an error message to be corrupt or problems.

To check the files corrupted on your system, follow these steps:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

Regarding registration of files in the memory of Poles go, try to reformat the memory sticks and see if that solves the problem (save to your hard drive the content first so they can be recovered).  Of course, if this does not resolve the problem, your sticks of memory will have nothing on them and you will not be able to add antything so do this at your own risk.  I would like to test it with one stick before trying other - preferably one that is less used or with the least amount of data on it.

If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version of the system came with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to make a record of slipstream as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.   Who restores all system files (unlike the SFC which covers only some and sometimes is unable to repair corruption) and need to restore your ability to save to memory.

I hope this helps.  Please post back anyway and let us know what happened (and if it did not, what were the results of the analysis and if you actually tried the repair/upgrade process at the system level).

Good luck!

How can I find and repair a corrupted registry key

It would be useful to know a number of facts that you forgot:

    1. Windows version, including service pack
    2. Your HP printer model
    3. The error message that you initially received which led you to try the FixIt
    4. The web address of the FixIt tool you tried (NOT FixIt Center home page, but the page where you downloaded or run the FixIt tool).
    5. The full text of the error message on "registry keys corrupted MSI.

That being said, it seems that if you have installed and then try to uninstall any software related to the printer.  If this is the case, and the printing software cannot be uninstalled from Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, you can use either the Utility Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup or (free) Revo Uninstaller.

Truth in advertising: you may notice that the link to the Windows Installer Cleanup utility is not a Microsoft site.  It's because Microsoft has removed it stating that he sometimes 'cleaned' more that she was supposed to.  Personally, I would use it again, but I would back up the registry first of all, with a restore of the system or C:\windows\eruntpoint.

After that you have uninstalled whatever it is, you have tried to uninstall, see instructions here: Article 1

  • How can I find a list of the modules installed in FF5? (the one I'm looking for is installed, but does not appear in the Extensions, appearance or Plugins)

I installed an add-on that would allow me to change the content of the context menu. It works like a charm and I want to make a donation to the person who developed it, but I don't remember his name and I don't know how to find a list of the Add-ons I have installed. I checked the lists that appear when you go to the Add-ons under appearance and Plugins, Extensions Manager, but he's not here. Any help would be much appreciated.

A lot of extensions change several context menus.

The Menu Editor extension allows to rearrange and hide items in the menus, even move items between menus (be careful with moving between menus.

You can get a list of your Extensions in a playlist by help > troubleshooting or typing information on: support in the bar of addresses in Firefox 4 and above. Note that your extensions disabled your addons list may appear after those who have been activated.

  • How can I find a list of inner channel of a chassis or any other device using NOR-DAQmx?

    Hello

I want to use the internal counter on my cDAQ-9178 channels. I know that I can use _ctro for my physical channel name when creating channel meter. Is there a way I can list all the internal channels available on a device. I use the function

    DAQmxGetDevCIPhysicalChans

for a list of all channels of the device. But when it is used on the chassis, I do not get a list of internal channels. I found KB on how to do it with LABVIEW but cannot find a way to do it programmatically using NI DAQmx API C.

    Hi Manisha,

For the internal channels, you must hard-code them. You can find a list of the names of internal channels at the following link: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370466V-01/mxdevconsid/internalchannels/

  • How can I find my list of folders under Vista?

  • How can I check and delete the corrupted files?

I was told that my laptop performance could be carried out by missing or corrupt files. I can't find the system check in the Panel, and it is not found when I try to kick it and run. I don't have the original recovery or installation disk disk.

According to the page I've linked in the other post: Hard Drive16 GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module).  Solid State Drive SSD =

    You can always do another:

Check and repair corrupt files is to open cmd in the start menu, then right click "Run as Administrator".  Then type chkdsk c: / r

    • If you get an error "Chkdsk cannot run", type in, ChkDsk runs on your next Windows startup

Who will eventually fix any corrupt system files, but not others.  You suspect corruption in the other or all of the files, then probably the SSD is having problems.  That can be fixed with conventional methods, as far as I KNOW.  Maybe time to replace it with a new SSD or hard drive classic, if possible.  Don't know how HP implimented the SSD in the mini.

Since there is no DVD/CD drive integrated into the unit, get an external hard drive or USB key and backs up all data that you consider important before things get worse.  You can buy 16 GB flash drives or bigger, so that would be my suggestion.  Just copy everything on a flashdrive before anything else is done.

BTW: I found a recovery here media: http://www.computersurgeons.com/SearchProducts.aspx?sbt=hp%20mini%201030nr%20&bkm=Results#Results

  • How can I get a list of nominal files in folders/subfolders?

I use a star rating system to select the pictures I need to work on. Each topic has its own folder. In each topic folder are subfolders, one for every time I have a photo shoot with them. The hierarchy looks something like this...

    Appear

    Topic1

    Shoot1

    Shoot2

    Matiere2

    Shoot1

    Subject3

    Shoot1

    Shoot2

    Shoot3

    Shoot4

    Sujet.4

    Shoot1

And so on. The image files are in each folder 'Shoot '. The thing I want to accomplish is to have a way that I can start with the main folder and check through all subfolders where image files are, and build a list of all the files of the assigned image I can analyze thanks to see that I need to work on the images.

Ideally I would have sorted highest to lowest side. I can do this through each folder and file inside, checking the side of each file and continues. What I really prefer to speed things up is to know if there is a way to check the contents of the folder and filter in notation. First, extract all 5 star rated file names, then 4 stars, then 3 stars and so on. I can't find anything in the documentation for the bridge script which allows to sort/filter the contents of the folder. I currently have more 40 000 files image then consulted through them one at a time even with a script would be a task that is why I would like to know if there is a method to filter the sides in the script files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can write the script... at least the majority of it I think... but things would be so much more enjoyable for me with a filter/sort.

Yes it loop through all the files, but it should not take too long because the bridge will not be cached all the files.

If it is a long process, you could write the list of records in a file and process a little at a time.

    Good luck!

  • How can I find a list of the modules of isntalled without launching firefox?

    Short version:
Is there a way to retieving the list of modules installed by looking at just the files in the profile folder, without starting firefox?

    Long version:
OK, I did a very stupid thing: I installed Waterfox, decided I didn't need and when I uninstalled it I check 'delete all settings '. I didn't know that he shared all the parameters with Firefox.

The (...) funny thing is that Firefox was working at the time, and he trotted without complaining for 4 days... today I closed it, open it again and... everything was gone!

I could "undelete" the old profile folder, recover most of the files in there. Their use, I managed to restore my browsing session... the most important thing.

Now, I would like to re - install all the Add-ons I used. However, many of them were installed a long time ago, and often they were selected from others with similar names after trying all the. So, it will save me a lot of time and effort so I can retrieve the list modules installed in the folder of "recovered"... profile an idea? For the record, I tried to copy just the old profile folder to the new, but I run into a lot of problems... so, restarted from scratch and just restore the session and now I was wondering how I can get the list of modules of the old profile, to be able to reinstall...

    Thank you

    Giacomo

It is a bit tedious, but if you search for the GUID, you can probably get the names of most of these extensions because when people stick their list here in the forum (usually behind the link system more next to their post Details), both are included.

    Hello 42tank,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community!

The history list is the only place that Web sites is stored unless you have installed a monitoring/parental control program. Once history has been removed, the information has disappeared. You can use Windows Live Family Safety on Windows XP SP2 and later versions to keep track of internet activity even if the history is cleared. Follow the link below for more information.
