How can I fix error install Flash «actionlist» not found

I use Firefox 5.0 that comes in 32 - bit, ran the software to uninstall current flash player, computer rebooted, checked that ActiveX is enabled and still get the message: SETUP ENCOUNTERED ACTIONLIST NOT FOUND ERROR when I try to install the latest version of Flash Player. Forums and other topics search help gave no information on actionlists relating to the installation of flash player. I'm at the end of my rope. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Just as one of them; EXE installers are generally smaller in size than the MSI installation programs.
