MacMini-digital server: only internal speakers?

I've implemented a Macmini with digital music files to play through my stereo system with a remote ipad. But the mini will play only with internal speakers, even if it detects the CAD that I use.

I tried selecting the DAC in the audio section of the mini, and I open the Apple Midi file. Once again, the mini is aware of the CAD, but even when it is selected, the Mini sends the sound for only its own internal speakers.  Unknown yet, when I 'speaker setup' and test to the left and to the right, the sound test IS sent to the stereo speakers. Frustrating!

Any help much appreciated!

  • audio output lists only the internal speakers when usb is connected to the dac

This problem happened after I had used my mbp for months as music server in a stereo system.  When I have the mbp connected via USB to an external digital to analog converter (dac), audio preferences had always listed the CAD.  Now it lists only the internal speakers.  I tried to reboot, checked my UBS cable, checked my dac.  The only thing I've done recently is to create a playlist and sync a new iPod to copy the playlist we.  I don't know if that could have anything to create the problem of lack of dac, but I am a relative novice on computers.

  • Windows 7 - sound through the internal speakers but not headphones...

I've upgraded to Windows 7 and got the latest Realtek HD Audio driver, and the internal speakers work fine. Nothing is coming through the headphones well. In the Audio Device Manager, it lists the headphones as "Realtek Digital Output" and seems to work, but there is no sound. Before I could just plug my headphones and it would turn off the speakers and only use the headphones. Help! Any ideas?

    Hello jrh388,

To better help, what is the brand and model of your PC?

You can check if the headphones are activated as a playback device. To do this, see the following steps:

    ·  The Pearl-click Start and type Sound in the start search box.

    ·  Select card change settings in the Start Menu Options.

    ·  Then, on the Read tab, right-click and select Show hidden devices and Show disconnected devices if they are available.

    · Select headset and select

  • 23 - c010xt envy: internal speakers continue to work after plugging in the speakers external or headphones

I got this computer for years with no problems. I use external speakers connected to the audio jack on the back. Once you plug in external speakers (or headphones), the internal speakers are disabled as expected.

Last night my PC automatically installed the anniversary of Windows Update (update feature Windows 10, 1607 version). After this update, now my two internal speakers and external speakers are working at the same time! I can't turn off the internal speakers without also turning off my external speakers. The volume affects both sets of speakers as well. I tried to disable audio and re-clearance but that did not help.

How can I go back to my original audio behavior where connect speakers external (or headphones) to the rear Socket 3.5 mm would automatically turn off the internal speakers? Thank you.

    Diameter of thank you!

I couldn't select no other devices in reading or recording tab becuse it is said that they are "not connected". Update drivers, said that later I have already.

But when I checked the other post, he fixed it! Now I get only audio speakers again... just like before and how it was supposed to be. Thanks again.

Windows 10. So I did some research on a Microsoft support forum and I found this solution:

    • Access the device driver software manager - right click on IDT high definition audio CODEC - updated.
    • Choose "Browse my computer for driver software" - choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
    • Select "High Definition Audio Device" (not IDT high def...)  This is important) and click Next. You get a warning message but answer 'yes '.
    • Once windows have updated driver software, try to play the audio again and check.

  • Pavilion DV4: Laptop plays sound through headphones but not by internal speakers

Audio was working fine on my laptop, when suddenly the laptop would not play sound with internal speakers.  If I plug in headphones sound is fine.  Execution of control panel of configuration/sounds shows 'Speakers and dual headphone - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC' enabled and set as the default device, as well as "independent double headphones" (enabled by default but not) and 'SPDIF (Digital Out via HP docking station)' disabled.  What can be wrong?

Cure the problem by uninstalling the CODEC driver, then restart Windows then reinstalled, and now things are ok again.

  • Internal speakers on my HP ENVY TouchSmart all-in-One desktop PC 23-d027c no longer works

    Hello

I just bought my HP ENVY 23-d027c TouchSmart all-in-One PC of office a few days ago.  It was working fine until I tested the speakers.  When you watch youtube videos, the internal speakers will stop working, while the mute button is not enabled.  It takes a few minutes, and then the speakers work again, only to cut out once more.  IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!  What's weirder, I put a dvd to see if it was the speakers, but the audio on the dvd seems to work very well.  Also, when I use headphones, the speakers work fine.  I don't know what the deal is, but according to my research, this seems to be a fairly common phenomenon on HP computers.  I'm struggling on the Exchange on this computer.  IF this isn't a simple solution, this machine will return to the store!

    Help, please!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello MakCo,

Your speakers are not working correctly.

Go to Device Manager, uninstall the IDT audio and restart the computer.

Uninstall it and reinstall the audio driver.

Here is a link to the Device Manager.

    Do a hard reset.

    Turn off the computer.

Remove the power cable and battery.

Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

This should reset the hardware in the computer.

That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.

Press F9 to load the default values.

Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

I would like to know how everything goes

    Nice day.

  • Audio for internal speakers on HP620 lost

I lost the sound on my HP 620 laptop. In the control manager and device Audio everything seems perfect: drivers are visible and it is stated "this device works correctly. I can see the green bar in moving Volume control when I test audio, BUT nothing out of the internal speakers.

There are two features in Audio playback:

Speakers/headphones IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC, headphones (real time data).

I tried to uninstall the device speakers/headphones, download the latest version of the driver from HP and install again, but no luck.

When I connect the computer to the TV via HDMI the sound works fine.

Now, the only big change I can think of is an update of the BIOS this HP Support Assistant made on June 2. Sound problems started before that.

    I haver a HP 620 serial number: {deleted personal information}, product number: WT249EA #UUW, Vista 64-bit.

I hope someone can help, Mikael

    Nice day.

It is for those who have trouble on HP speakres.

I have a problem that does not work my speakers, ut I have sound when I connect the headphones. I tried everything, reading on the web and encourages all solutions, but nothing happens.

Finally I just blow into the headset connector and use tootpick to clean the inside of the connector.

The inside of the connector, there is litlle relay. When the headphones are connectet who relay turning off the speakers and spend his helmet. So, if there is dust this relay can stay in closed mode and its cannot 'go' to the speakers.

So, I hope that Martin will help you with your problem!

  • Re: Need internal speakers for Satellite A105

I have a Satellite A105-S1013 laptop and need to replace the two internal speakers, which are slaughtered. Is there more than one distributor of parts to the United States I can contact?
A Toshiba recommended charge $ 45, plus $10 shipping, which seems a bit much.

    Anyone knows of multiple sources?

I recommend you ask the same question on Toshiba U.S. forum http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/tshb/
Maybe the people of the United States know better where to find spare parts.

By the way: check eBay US. With a little luck you can find speakers out there. I saw that many pieces for Toshiba laptops on eBay and you can get them for a few dollars only.

  • Re: Internal speakers no longer work with RealPlayer on Satellite A100

It is probably a very simple question, but I can't work on the answer. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100 running Windows Vista Home Basic Edition. I have often read audio from RealPlayer and generally make through an external sound card and external speakers (accessed via a USB port).

Listen to RealPlayer, in this way still works fine. However, if I boot my laptop with the sound card and speakers not plugged into the USB port, and then try to listen to a file with RealPlayer, using internal speakers of the laptop, I get no sound at all from RealPlayer (although, until recently, I used to get the sound in this way). Other audio players, such as windows media player, give always his time through the card its external & speakers (if they are plugged into a USB port) and also through internal speakers of the laptop (if the external sound card and speakers are not connected).

The problem seems to arise only when I use RealPlayer and in this case, whereas before I could listen with the internal speakers or through external speakers, but now I can only listen through external speakers. No doubt some setting has been changed. Any ideas on how I can recover the ability to play RealPlayer files via the internal speakers of my laptop. ?

As it seems that it affects RealPlayer I would say that you uninstall, best done with a few extra tools to clean the registry also, reboot. Then download the latest version of real player, install and test.

Think you're right, that there has been some changes options.

Sound still works when I connect my headset (or other device) to the audio output.

Sound still works when I connect to my USB external sound card.

  • No sound on internal speakers in DV6000

    I have a laptop DV6-265us running MS Vista SP2.

Recently, my speakers Altec Lansing internal has stopped working.  First of all, it was the left speaker, then both.  I thought for sure the speakers just died, so I ordered a replacement on EBay and just am and successor yesterday.  BUT, I still have no sound.  I can plug external speakers into the speaker port and they work fine.

Now here's the strange thing.  The speaker in the tray icon works exactly as it did before.  Its does not display a red X or error at all.  I can test the sound and the Visual looks like his work, but there is nothing that comes out of loudspeakers.  I went to the Control Panel, Device Manager and there is no red Xs anywhere.  The device driver said his works very well, but I have no confidence in it, so I did a restore of the HP driver and give the original that came with the laptop.... Still nothing.

I read the articles of troubleshooting on the HP Support pages, but nothing has worked so far.  My next step is to replace the sound card or the power button.   I'm not sure of the sound card because I don't know how its connected in speakers AND plug in external speakers work.  It of really a sup Board and seems to have only the external ports for microphone and speakers, as well as the infra-red port.  The internal speakers are plugged into the power button card and I thought that this is where the problem is maybe as putting in a new internal speaker doesn't seem to work.  The microphone is also connected on the power button, but that seems to work well.

No one knows if I fake road with the power button?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi all

Well believe it or not, I had my speakers work again.  Lots of hit and accuracy to get there, but its working now.  You don't have to bother with downloading drivers, I tried them all and none of them worked.  Unfortunately, it was a hardware problem, which means that you need to open your laptop.  If you are not comfortable with this, you can obtain the necessary parts and get them in a store of the computer (such as Micro Center) and see if they can change the parts to you.

    Here's what I did.

-Changed the internal speaker Altec (did not help)

-Changed the power button (did not see a change)

-Changed the button of power and LED board ZIF cables (BINGO)

I'm sure that stakeholders were not the problem, since I put the old ones back in and they work.  From what I can tell, it's the combination of the power button and the 2 ZIF cables.  I could find all these parts on EBay.  The power button has been about $ 17 and 2 ZIF (flat) cables are about $9.  Search for part # 431437-001, and you should be able to find the flat cables and the power button.  Not sure if the same manufacturer for other portable model.  Check the maintenance and Service of Guide for your model.

If you want to DIY then I suggest you download the maintenance and the Guide Service for laptop HP Pavilion dv6000.  You can get this on the HP customer care site.  Unfortunately, that was the only help that HP has been for me.  Never had any feedback on this issue.

Good luck.  I hope this helps.

  • Hello, I am trying to get my internal speakers to work. Device States drivers are missing, but no info on what brand and model they are.

Hello, I am trying to get my internal speakers to work. They worked fine up until I had to repalce my hard drive. I finailly got all my drivers installed and updated on the site variouus.  Now, when I check my internal speakers (no system sounds) I can not find the make and model of them.  All I can identify is that I have.  That the drivers are missing. No part number for the company name, etc. is connected with the internal speakers.

Dell PC Tower, Denmension bought 3000 mid-' 04.

    Interanal speakers for system sounds.

Windows XP Edition version family.  IE8

    Windows Defender antispyware software.

    Thank you

I don't know what you mean by getting the drivers from "various sites." The only place to get the drivers for the hardware that is installed with your Dimension is the Dell Web site.

There is only one pilot audio for your Dimension 3000 and it's here:

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=08W&l=en&s=bsdv&releaseid=R94481&SystemID=DIM_CEL_3000&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2430&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=3&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&fileid=122481

Of course if you added your own sound card you need get the drivers of the mftr site. but provided with your Dell printer's on the motherboard, and those are the drivers for it. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How to use all the internal speakers and headphones?

Hello, I am using the internal speaker and the headphones together...
I have a HP Pavilion dv9695el laptop running windows vista ultimate 64 bit and my sound card is a Realtek ALC268 (I have updated drivers). Card his has three exits: 3, 5 mm jacks on the front panel internal and two speakers (maybe a fourth to QuickDock?).
If I connect the headphones, internal speakers automatically turn off. I want to use them together and I don't know how to do this.
Also from "control panel"-> "audio options", it is impossible to pass because there is only a generic element "speakers", so I'm not able to use third-party programs such as "Vista Audio Changer" or nobodies.

I asked some forums and people told me that it is a hardware limitation... I'm pretty sure this isn't because I also installed Linux Ubuntu (@64 bit) and use it, it is possible to bring together audio of the two devices.

Please help me, I'm puzzled :(

Microsoft Windows allows only one audio output at the same time. Therefore, choose internal speakers or external output. I have the same situation with my HP dv7 laptop. With the help of Ubuntu (unix), I am able to drive together the two audio outputs.
