How can I get more disk space on MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro OS version 10.10.5 Yosemite.

I tried to delete the photos and videos, I got the pictures. I deleted and then went them recently deleted and emptied the Recycle Bin. I still did not recover space.

When I opened the mac and storage. It shows 189.6 in others and 138,88 Go in the backups. 47,78 GB in movies. 21.98 in photos. 10.29 in audio and 8.64 in apps. Only 82,08 GB free

When I checked the Photos I have 16,48 GB in photos and videos. And iPhoto 1.21 GB in photos.

In the downloads I have 15.68 GB between photo, documents and videos.

In Itunes, I have 49,33 GB

Can someone help me and explain to me why I have so much space used on others and backups?

I remember a while back I deleted a lot of videos I had on the Photos, I have no space back right away, but a few days later, but now, he has not since I did it like a week ago.  I tried to restart and nothing has changed.

On the Time Machine - https://support.apple.com/HT204015 - local snapshots ' when you use Time Machine on a Mac laptop, Time Machine saves some of its backups on your startup disk. "
