How can I get my network shares to market.
My discovery of the network, network and sharing Center, will not turn on.and it seems I've tried averthing.
Hello
· What type of network location did you choose? It is home, work or Public?
Based on the network location you choose, Windows affects a State of network for network discovery and opens the Windows Firewall ports suitable for this State.
Step 1: We recommend you to check if the elements of network discovery are enabled in Windows Firewall. To do this, try the following steps.
a. Click Start, type firewall and then click Windows Firewall with advanced security.
b. click on rules of incoming traffic in the left pane and select the (SSDP-In) network discovery and network discovery (UPnP-) in the list.
c. click on rules of outgoing traffic in the left pane and enable network discovery (SSDP-out) and the discovery of the network (UPnP-Out) in the list.
d. apply the changes and check the result.
For more information about network discovery, see this link:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-network-discovery
See also: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Restore-Windows-Firewall-settings
Step 2: Check if the services are started.
a. Click Start and type services.msc in the search box
b. check if the following services are started, otherwise start it and set it to automatic.
c. right-click on the service
d. If the service is stopped and then starts the service
e. Select Properties
f. and in startup type, select automatic
List of the services to start are:
· SSDP Discovery
· TCP/IP NetBIOS support
· Computer browser
· Server

How can I get unidentified network settings stick, private and change its name?
I use Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on my computer at home, because my Internet is wireless usb (AT & T Quicksilver) device that can be plugged directly into my router (Linksys WRT110). Given that the router accepts only as an internet connection ethernet cables, instead I use my desktop computer as the connection (ICS) and using the router only as a hub, essentially.
Everything is working well at the moment. The Office will connect to the internet and other computers and devices connected to the router (wired and wireless) are all works well and can share the internet connection.
But whenever I restart the desktop computer, the default network is "unidentified network" and as a type of 'Public' without discovery service. So every time I go to network settings and make it private. It works fine until the next reboot. In addition, I am not able to change the network name. The field seems open for entry, but selecting and typing does nothing.
I don't know if it's relevant, but other devices to connect to the network are laptops (of various working groups, need to be since they are mainly used to work) and a DirecTV DVR, using Mediashare (via Windows Media Server). Yet once, they all work, after doing the private network, but this is lost at every restart of the desktop computer.
I wish I could have it be a private network that is identified by a name and keep these parameters at each reboot. But I have yet to find an online solution that worked for me.
Matt,
Thank you very much. It worked like a charm. I was pulling my hair out on this one for a few months. Once again, a big thank you!
For anyone else trying to solve the same problem, here is the summary of the solution.
I have already had no default gateway specified. As advised by Matt, I right click on the Local network connection (in network and sharing Center / manage network connections) and went in the IPV4 properties and put in the address of a default gateway (equal to the IP address of my router/hub). I left the ICS settings and all the way IP addresses which I had them before (with zero in the third byte of the IP address of all and ICS turned on). I have no registry changes. The only change is the default gateway. After this change, a wizard appears to allow me to set up the network properly. And I could rename and define the private network. And the changes were intact after several reboots. Perfect.

How can I get the amount of disk space by using windows 7 Please share example using GetDiskSpace I already studied http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9958B8E473C4EF1786256BBC0053B64F
Reading your question a little more in detail, I doubt if you are using the Win32 GetDiskFreeSpace API function (including my previous post is the solution) of the function GetDiskSpace from the Toolbox of the programmer.
With respect to the other, it works even with capacity greater than 2 GB disks, but you must use the appropriate formatting code to display the returned value. I updated my example to display the total of free space in the debug output window and added a comparison with the value of 3 GB using UInt64TypeCompareUInt box to tools programming interface.

My old wired desktop xp died, it was the first computer on my home network. My friend just got a new office and gave me an old. I have a laptop which has windows 7 and is connected wireless. Photosmart 6520
How can I get to the screen to insert the DNS settings? Wireless network printer continues to fall.
The screen to manually set the DNS and IP parameters is in the SAP, or shipped to the printer Web server. To access this page, it will take the IP address of the printer. This information is found by pressing the icon on the front of the Photosmart 6520 wireless.
Once again, we have the IP address, and then they could type this information in the address bar of their favorite browser.
On another thread, you have mentioned the difficulties getting to the Web integrated printer server. It is possible that the printer has a valid IP address, but still has no "communication" with the router. Have you tried to enter the menu of the 6520 wireless and default network selection. After having done that, then we can re - run the Wireless Setup Wizard in the wireless menu to reconnect the printer to the network.
With this new valid IP address, you can access SAP of the printer? In addition, make sure that the printer and the PC are connected to the same network access point. Let me know how it goes.

Please check that the programs (Ubuntu, Mint, Boot-Repair, etc.) that you attempt to use it, press the controller Atheros AR8161L gigabit ethernet in native mode. Not all operating systems and software are supported each otut device or the network configuration of the box. Several times, drivers must be loaded or injected into the operating system for a device working properly.

How can I get rid of the AddThis Social Bookmarking sharing button widget?
When I click on the "Sharing" tab on a Web site to send a page by e-mail, the widget AddThis Social Bookmarking sharing button stupid page with no way to stop. How can I get rid of this terrible page and make sure that it never comes back?
You can try to disable pop-ups in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-troubleshooting?redirectlocale=en-US & redirectslug = popup + blocker #w_pop-up-blocker-settings.
If that's not enough, you must block the AddThis functionality with the addition of NoScript (AdBlockPlus, perhaps?).
If you just want to share the link to the page, use the option from file menu E-mail link (if you do not want to manually, copy and paste this link into your address bar).
