  Welcome to the Forum - what you really need to use the browser of data store and look for the VMX file in each subdirectory VM and add to the inventory - it would have added the machines virtual back intot the inventory of your ESXi server - how "recreate" your virtual machines?  If you went and created a new virtual machine and when it came to the storage pointed toward the virtual disk underlyuing that would have created a VMX file that does not use the snapshots - if snapshots exist yet I don't know what you will have to access snapshot data.

  See the response of Chet814, but let me add the following: a file extension is much more than a description. It tells you what type of file it is (and therefore which program is needed to open it - see below) and I highly recommend that you do * not * hide them.

  For example, a .doc file is a text file that can be opened with Microsoft Word (or a compatible program), an .mp3 file is an audio file, a .txt file is the text that can be opened with Notepad, Word, WordPad, etc.. a .jpg file is a graphic image that can be opened with any graphics program. Take this information from the file name, you sometimes find yourself in situations where you cannot open a file and you don't know why.

  The best way would be to make sure that your layer is not a background layer: click the lock icon in this case. Then click the icon at the bottom of the layer panel layer mask. This will create a mask that you can refine and not be destructive.

  If your old machine still works, export your definition of original site to a portable player, copy in your new machine and then import the site definition to the new machine. The definition file will have the extension .ste

  Create an empty folder on your new machine.

  Define a 'new' web site on your new machine to point to the new local root folder.

  Log your server and download all of the subfolders and files in the folder root from the server to the new local root folder.

  Try right-clicking on a photo (jpeg) file, click Open with. Glance for photoshop in the list. Then check always use this program to open this type of file. I'm not sure it's good that the exact wording. And then click OK.

  It seems that you have accidentally selected them while you are dragging.

  Check that there is nothing that complicates the issue by going on the desktop, make a click right, then clear rearrange icons &, if you wish, clear align icons on the grid as well.

  Now you can drag the icons to the desired location.

  Check the settings for click-and - dragging in the Panel where you are accidentally dragging things around without realizing the mouse.  "click-and - drag" is a pretty common term, but it may be slightly different for your mouse.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
