How can I join a bookmark (IE hotmail in sign) to my quick launch?

My operating system is Vista Home premium. My browser is Firefox. My Hotmail account login is in my bookmarks on Firefox. I would like to have my Hotmail account on my quick launch instead of having to bring up Firefox and bookmarks then my Hotmail sign in. That would make my life easier. If this is not available, I suggest that this must be one of the things you should look at as a future feature.

I don't use Vista, but no doubt you can drag and drop a tab of Hotmail in Firefox on your desktop Windows Visa. This will create an internet shortcut that will open Hotmail in Firefox. I guess it's trivial which pin then the list of start-up or the taskbar.

  • How can I import Firefox bookmarks, now stored in the folder of the user on the same PC (new), in Firefox?

How can I import Firefox bookmarks, now stored in the folder of the user on the same PC (new), in Firefox? I exported my old PC Firefox bookmarks in a folder [Windows 8] on my new PC.
When I use the ease of importing from Firefox, it will only import a bookmark at a time - and then it inserts the bookmarks all the main pages on the site marked with a bookmark, not just the one I initially put bookmark. Also, it does not matter the information stored in the bookmark tag.

    Sure thing.

    6. Copy the folder that is located in this folder on a USB

    9. Repeat steps 1 to 5 on the new computer
    10. Open the folder that you copied from your old computer

When you are in Safari and you open the bookmarks, when you see the bookmark that you want to delete, drag the bookmark to the left and you should see a red button to remove.

How can I get the bookmarks to show in the latest version of firefox

Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is visible and "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are always placed on the bookmarks toolbar.

If the menu bar is hidden, then press F10, or press and hold the ALT key, which should make the "menu bar" appear.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

    • Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars" (Linux, Windows)
    • Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the toolbar palette in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
    • If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items which do not appear in the palette of the toolbar or a toolbar, then click on the button "Restore Default Set"

How can I move multiple bookmarks to a folder in a new folder?

Go up that favorite-> edit bookmarks.  Then go up to that favorite-> add bookmark folder.

Right-click on the new folder, and then select "Rename".  Name you want to reflect the bookmarks that will be in it.

Then, go to the folder that contains the bookmarks that you want to move, click on it while pressing the command key.  Drag them out of this folder and the new folder.

  • I uninstalled aurora and now all my favorites and passwords are left of firefox 4, how can I recover my bookmarks and passwords

I uninstalled aurora and now all my favorites and passwords are left of firefox 4, how can I recover my bookmarks and passwords?

    Sorry you have coming.

See the attached screenshot. If you selected the option to remove my Aurora (nightly minefield, Firefox) the personal data and customizations you deleted all your profiles for each version you have / had installed. You can try to use a program for recovering files, like Recuva, to see what can be salvaged.

The bookmarks to the file places.sqlite , or among the backup of bookmarks Favorites-aaaa-mm-jj.json files (10 are stored). Regarding your passwords, you need the file signons.sqlite and signons3.txt file.

  • How can I synchronize Safari bookmarks with those in Firefox?

I have a PC running Firefix and Firefox Sync OK. I have an ipad 2 with Firefox Home installed and connected fine to my FF sync account.

I was expecting FF home to synchronize bookmarks on ipad Safari with those on the desktop. Apparently not so much.

I can see the desktop bookmarks within the app FF home on the ipad.

    How do I...
-Correctly synchronize bookmarks between the two systems (FF on desktop?) and Safari on iPad
-Otherwise, how can I synchronize the bookmarks on the iPad with Firefox? Currently, there seems to be a one-way transfer (i.e. I can only access the bookmarks on the iPad desktop PC)

    Thank you

    James

Yep, it's a one-way synchronization, server sync then for Firefox Home Office. Don't Synchronize FirefoxHome on the synchronization server.

  • How can I move my bookmarks toolbar

How can I move my bookmarks toolbar so that it is on the same line as the Menu bar (I guess that's what the file, edit, etc. are called).

I asked this question years ago and settled on my desktop like this, but can't remember how to do for my new laptop.

I also asked the question a month or two ago, but couldn't understsnd response that was posted, so I ask the question again.

    1. In the menu, select view > toolbars > customize (or right-click on the menu bar and choose Customize) to open the Customize Toolbar dialog box
    2. Drag and drop the "bookmarks toolbar items" on the toolbar of bookmarks in the menu bar
    3. Click "Done" to close the Customize Toolbar dialog box
    4. On the view menu, select Toolbars, and then click "Bookmarks Toolbar" to hide the now empty toolbar
