  To disable the address bar to not display search history results. You can do this by going to Firefox-> Options-> privacy and select the option that says: "when you use the location bar suggest" and set it to "nothing". I have attached a screenshot that might make it easy for you to locate.

It's very distracting that it appears highlighted whenever I have my cursor on it, and I don't like that all of the text other than the main domain (e.g. mozilla.org) is grey.
