  You can right click on a thumbnail or name of file or a selected
  (highlighted) group and choose... Copy... from the menu.

  Then right click the folder you want to copy the photos to
  and choose... Dough.

  Another method would be to create a shortcut to the folder
  you want saved pictures in and drag the shortcut to the
  "Send to" folder. Then you can click right files and
  the menu choose send to and then your shortcut. The

  One thing I do in this case is to open several tabs, and then drag one tab away from others. When you drag the tab away it will open in its own window, which gives you what sounds like you after.
