  Location of OE message store:

  In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  For addresses:

  Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

  Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

  I have 133 photos in a project with audio tracks playing while images are displayed.  I want to spend a few photos around.  In Pinnacle Studio, a product that I know well, which unfortunately is not available on an iMac, I simply select a photo, drag it to where I want and presto - done everything, without gaps, and the audio track (which I locked it) is not affected.  In the first 12 items, when I move an image, it leaves a gap of a black screen where the picture was rather than spend at the as I assume that most people would expect.

  To make things worse, first, then inserts a gap in the audio track to the place where I moved my photo.  Apparently the software thinks that I don't want the music on my image to its new location.  Then, when I try to select the empty area where my photo used to be "delete and close gap" is not to get rid of the gap of all.

  I solved the problem by removing the audio file, I don't think I have, but this is a feature that is missing in the first, do not allow me to block the audio track.  So now "delete and close gap" will work with the audio went, but is it possible to simply move a photo from one place to another and simply adjust all other photos to not leave a space?

  I'm the only person who thinks that do not leave a gap must be the default?  Why leave a gap just move a photo from one place to the other?  If the intention was to add another picture later, you just slide it in place.  I don't understand.
