  Near the right end of the address bar is a White Star which can be hard to see, but look closely. When you want to add a shortcut to the toolbar, double-click the star.   Yes.  I find it easier to type text, and then use the move tool (shortcut V) (looks like an arrow) to place it where you want.

  To bring up the character and paragraph panels go to WINDOW > CHARACTER or WINDOW > PARAGRAPH.

  For a long time, I had my Firefox (version 33.0.2 - even if I don't remember getting mentions "update") defined so that every time I clicked on the tab new symbol '+' to create a new tab (which has the "new tab Page" on that), the NINE inch nails would be shown for my SELECTION and PIN sites.   Here's the PROBLEM: NONE of the thumbnails are "compressed". They ALL have "liberated" up yellow icon to the left and clicking on does nothing to remedy this of course. Other that THAT, everything else behaves normally. (that is to say moving the thumbnails, deleting, swap... I just can't pin THEM!)
  FINALLY, I prefer my 9-repositionable decals on the new tab Page.
  I went through ALL the options on the side, upside down and backwards, and I just get more frustrated.
