  When I used to use OE as my email client, it was possible to create "groups" in the address list, with the facility to send then to the group by name, so that each recipient included in the Group of email addresses all received the e-mail in question. (For example, the group named "IVG" consisted of six e-mail addresses, owned by six members of a discussion group, as I do, and I could send all at once simply email for IVG). Now, here's my question: in OE, I could fill the e-mail addresses of members of the Sub-group by simply selecting them in my list (s) global e-mail address. In TB, on the other hand, it seems that the only way to create a "new list" in the global list existing, is to type the address of each recipient by hand - an amazingly arduous task if the subgroup is of any size. And it is not clear that, even when the "new list" is over, it can be used as a "mass mailing" vehicle like the subgroup could in OE. Can someone tell me, please, if and how I can compile a subgroup within the address list of TB in the same way that I have described for OE? (And I can deal with just like a 'name' to send e-mails to all members of the subgroup, as described above?)

  As you describe with OE, use the name of the mailing list replaces the addresses it represents. You can of course just select from your address book as any regular Contact entry.

  A significant limitation of the mailing list of Thunderbird, it is that it must be created in an address book with the Contacts he made reference. In other words, if you generate a list in the PAB, it must contain only the Contacts appearing in the personal address book. If you create an entry in a mailing list that is not in his address book parent, a new minimum Contact entry will be automatically created in this address book parent. Put in official terminology, a mailing list is a subset of the address book of its parent.

  I have several bookmarks in my toolbar, and my most often used found in a drop down menu, which is annoying. I have tried to click and drag on the menu bar, there was room for more icons, but they didn't budge. Anything under the "toolbar" has been helpful. Help tell me do right click on my toolbar and then click on 'Customize'... which did not come as an option. I would like to really all my favorites toolbar (I have about 10) or real on the toolbar visible, not hidden in a small dropdown tab menu.
  There is a plug-in that allows you to put bookmarks in two rows on your toolbars, but it is not compatible with my version of FF (7.0.1).
  App Tabs are cute, but I don't like them on top where they take place where I have the legs for various open websites (I usually opened several at once). App Tabs are fixed and do not move as site tabs, which is extremely annoying and so why I 1) want to move to the bottom of the toolbar or 2) be able to view all my bookmarks toolbars - which is what I prefer.

  App tabs are special tablets and are always displayed at the left end of the tab bar.

  You can place all the bookmarks that you want to see the toolbar of bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar folder.

  I would recommend the synchronization of the device with a playlist selected, rather than manage manually. You update the playlist and then synchronize to update the device with the changes.

  The following steps should resolve problems with the device, do not sync what is selected, or to remember a previous selection, copying it back.

  To make a new folder that you go to the folder you want the new folder created under, in this case, the local folders. Click with the right button on local folders and select new folder.

  When moving messages in IMAP, you want to be offline, syncing Thunderbird/server is out of the picture, and then drag the messages from the existing to the new folder new folder and drop them there.

  Near the right end of the address bar is a White Star which can be hard to see, but look closely. When you want to add a shortcut to the toolbar, double-click the star. A window opens with the name of the Web page. Under this is the area of folder which will probably read "Unsorted Bookmarks". Click on the drop down arrow and change it to "Bookmarks Toolbar", then click done.
