How can I regain access MyWindowsApp administrator account on Vista?
I changed my password last summer and actually I FORGOT my new password. I have locked my account administrator, but have been able to access through the guest account settings. I didn't know that Vista required to create a password reset disk before I changed the password. How can I regain access to the administrator account without having the password reset disk?
Hello
I think you left it too late in what concerns the use of the password for the original as requiring the use of a system restore point which, after this time may not yet exist
but you can try it
If this does not work, you will need to reinstall vista

After an update of windows, I can't not access my administrator account.
Original title: windows update
After a windows update, I can't access my administrator status. It does not recognize my password. Other work of accounts and passwords. How to regain access?Hi Gwen,
As other accounts work correctly, try to connect to any of the user account that has permission to the administrator and change the password of the account that fails to connect.
See the following suggestions to change the password:
1. open a session any account administrator on the computer.
Note: You must be logged in as an administrator in order to change the password of the account another.
2 click Start, type Control Panel in the search box, click on Control Panel and click user accounts.
3 click on Manage another account.4. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes (if connected as administrator) or enter the administrator password (if connected as a standard user).
5 select the user account that you want to change the password.6 click change the password.
7 type the new password once, twice to confirm the new password, an index of passwordoption, and then click change password.
8 when you're done, you can now close the change to an account window if you wish.
I hope this helps.

I don't remember doing anything that could have caused this problem.
Enable the built-in Administrator account log in, make your changes to user accounts, search for malware to be proactive.
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
First try a system restore to when things worked. If this fixes things, very well. If this is not the case, try to start in Safe Mode, because the normally disabled built-in Administrator account can be activated if no other administrative user is available on the system. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. That you will get to the diagnostic menu where you can use your arrow key to select Mode without failure. If the built-in administrator is enabled, you will see an icon for it on the Welcome screen.
If the above does not work:
If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:
NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]
Remove the installation DVD and reboot the system in normal Mode. You will see an icon for the administrator on the Welcome screen. If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair the system Windows Vista (not a system recovery!) in the menu diagnosis. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. If this isn't the case, you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent asmuTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or freeImgBurn software to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.
After net user, remove the bootable CD and restart the computer. You will now see an icon for administrator on the Welcome screen. Connect to this account. After getting things sorted, disable the administrator built-in yet for security reasons * after * creation of a user and administrative per the recommendations below.
Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]
Exit the command prompt.
General recommendations for creating users in Vista:
You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.
In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.
The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

Bryce
Hello
1 are. what software you referring?
2 are you getting any error code or error message?
3. do you have connected to the computer as an administrator?
What is an administrator account?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-an-administrator-account
The program might require administrative permissions to run:
If the program is not installed: Right-click on the Setup file and select "Run as Administrator"
If the program is already installed:
On the start menu, right-click the program, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password and then click on continue. If the program now works correctly, the program requires administrative permissions to operate.

How can I make and additional administrative account?
I'm in safe mode but cant find were to make an additional admin account to help?
You do not necessarily need to be in safe mode, but whatever it is, while logged in as an administrator, you can go to start > Control Panel > user add or remove accounts and in that choose "Create a new account" and will then have the choice of the Standard user or administrator.

I have Vista Edition Home Premium. I got the account administrator and only called 'everyday', which were both available on the Welcome screen. I was usually you log in to the admin account for my daily use of the computer, but realized that it was a bad idea. I created a new account, he made an admin account and called "administration". I changed then the administrator account, I had used so far for a standard account and named it 'everyday', which makes the account would connect you to our daily use. Finally, I created a new standard account called 'secondary' for my husband to use.
Now, when I turn on the computer, only accounts that I am able to connect in the Welcome screen are 'everyday' and 'secondary '. I tried to find articles that would already be answering my question, but good solutions I've seen do not work or are not completely suitable for my situation. I know the administrator account exists, I don't know how to connect to it. How can I access my administrator account now? Things like system restore and cmd / 'run as administrator' failure because I don't have privileges admin so I can't even begin to perform these tasks.
Any help is appreciated!

How can know you if someone has consulted and used the default Administrator account in Vista?
I was not aware that the default Administrator account is so easily accessible if there is no password on it. In my view, a standard user has accessed this and it seems that the computer is having a lot of problems now. Is there a way to tell? Needless to say I care that much personal info could acceded as well as commercial information. Security, 3 administartors (users) appears in some of the boxes, and I only know 2 of them, myself and the default admin? I'm a recruit of the computer and the other person is somewhat a geek so I could really use some help. I am the system administrator, but don't really know what to look for. I would really appreciate if some wiz could help me.
Thank you
Hello
You can't find if someone has consulted and used the default Administrator account in Vista. You will need to set up a password so that no one will be able to access the admin account.

My mac won't let me access my administrator account
Hello world
I just bought a macbook pro a week ago and I have currently updated to OS X El Capitan 10.11.4. So here's my problem. Last night, I changed the name of my administrator account and tried to activate the user to guess account. Then I closed my mac and went to bed. This morning when I open my mac the log in window appears as usual, I enter my admin password and connection user guess window pops up asking for a password, sign in. I try to play by clicking on the icon of the user to guess, then a message pops up saying "this computer will restart to a secure system of Safari only for the user to guess." So now I can only connect this system only safari and cannot access my administrator account. Please help me, I need to connect to my administrator account as soon as possible.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey trqhien_1605,
It seems that you simply log on to the guest user account, and then you can choose your administrator account and log in as usual. Here are some instructions on registering your account:
Close the session
Choose the Apple menu > Log Out. If you don't want the application windows you have currently open to reopen when you reconnect, deselect the option "reopen the windows when you log in.
If your Mac is set up for multiple users, other users can connect once you disconnect.
