How can I see errors in a PDF file

Hi, I use coldfusion cfdf to create a PDF file for a Web site application, but when I open the PDF file on a mac in Adobe Acrobat Pro ms, I get the alert...

There is an error on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.

So I can they and correct the error, is there a way I can view the errors on the page?

Acrobat has no tools that will help you. This requires a detailed examination by an expert. If you can post a sample publicly, an expert has sometimes at times to lose to an interesting problem. You must also make sure that all of your ColdFusion components are perfectly up-to-date.

    Hi question renna,.

To remove the pages of a PDF file, you must use Acrobat (choose Remove in the Pages pane on the tools Panel). If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

  • How can I see the size of the file?

How can I see the size of the file in LR CC? I can see the pixel size, I see millions of pixels (interested in MP?). To see the size of the file, I have to 'show in Finder '. That s annoying.

    Thanks in advance

    Bob Somrak says:

I'm sorry that I have implied by using the 'Limit of the file size' option to export.  I never use (probably rarely) this option.  I wanted to suggest you to use the option of resizing and set the pixel dimensions to limit the size of the file and the quality level.

Yes, I've never used 'File size limit' because I know better. IMHO, this is an Adobe option could remove and do more good than harm. We have seen many messages here from users who are confused when it doesn't do what they expect.

    Bob Somrak says:

Too, I think it would be easy to implement the ability to see the size of the file in Lightroom but see no advantage.  It does not provide any information whatsoever on what the derived file size will be.

It is of little interest to the 'original' camera files imported into LR. But it is useful to review export and "Change in the PS" files for all of the reason fotoroeder and I have just described.

The bottom line is that it can't hurt and it can be made an option to preferences for "Advanced" users to eliminate the confusion." It goes same for IPR display and the color profile, which is very useful for managing the resized image files to be used with a program such as InDesign layout. I currently have to use Adobe Bridge for this purpose, but LR to create and organize the files of components. So it forces me to work inefficiently. It would be really beneficial if LR and InDesign could be integrated to work similar to the LR book module together... but that's just a dream.

  • How can I see "a link to a file" given in adobe acrobat pro on the mouseover?

How can I see "a link to a file" given in adobe acrobat pro on the mouseover?

It's because it's actually a link that points to a local file (using the file:/// syntax). If you change the action associated with this link, you will see that it is a command "open a web link", not a command "open a file". The latter does not display this information, that I know.

  • HP ENVY 5530 - How can scan multiple pages into 1 pdf file?

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to scan multiple pages into one pdf document.  Currently, I can only 1 page per pdf which is not ideal for large documents.  I have a HP ENVY 5530 and am running windows 7.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Hi Bert1,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I see that you encounter some problems when trying to scan multiple pages into a single file. I did some research and I found a great Charter which will explain in detail How-to Scan: Windows 7.  Once you have the document open, please scroll down until you see the part dealing with the digitization of several pages in a single file.

I hope this helps with your question.  If by chance you need more help, feel free to write me again. I'm always happy to help you.

    Thank you for your time.

  • How can I copy text from a pdf file in firefox?

I no longer seem to highlight and copy the text from a pdf file, while in firefox 33.0, using adobe to view PDF files.

How do I activate the selection tool, so I can do this?

If there is text to be copied (in other words, if the pdf file is not a scanned image of the text), by default, you should see a pointer that will change when you hover over the text to an ibeam.

If you see a hand tool, click on the double arrow towards the top right of the display screen to get a drop-down list and select "disable the hand tool.

  • How can I change my doc or pdf file

I use windows vista... and need to change my document to each Doc or Pdf and can not do
    How can I do this

    Hi Gen,

What type of file is the document at the present time?  What type of program was used to create this and what do you currently use to open and read (and change)?  What operating system the file was created with?  What word-processing conversion or file currently installed programs?  What version of Vista you have (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2)?

There is a pretty good luck it can be converted regardless of what it is currently (I say that because there are so many available file conversion programs), but I can't guarantee that or make suggestions on how to do it until I know more about what we have case to (as in the answers to the questions above).

    Thanks and good luck!

  • How can I, as creator, force my pdf file to open as a document instead of in a browser.

    Hello

I created a PDF form that I'll put on my Web site.
If my visitors download this file, I want it to be opened in the adobe instead of the browser application.

How can I force this document to do this?

There is nothing you can do to the PDF file to force a web browser to download the file. You can configure the web server to issue some headers that direct browsers to download, but some browsers may ignore and try to view in the browser in any case. Here is a link by chance from a discussion on the idea: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2598658/how-to-force-a-pdf-download-automatically

  • How can I reduce the size of PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) ms?

I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free version), ScanSnap ix500 & MAC OS X.  I have many documents and statements I want to scan and would like to know how to reduce the size of the document to preserve the memory. I scanned a document, 1 page, converted to PDF format and save it to a folder on my computer.  The file size of the PDF file has been 371ko.  I can reduce the size without having to buy the standard Adobe Reader or Pro edition?

You can not. You need Acrobat for this kind of task.

  • How can I increase the number of PDF files that can be open at the same time of 20?

I like the new pdf viewer integrated into Firefox a lot because I'm constantly review sheets at work. However, he seems to have a limit of 20 simultaneous files. The machine I work has no danger of running out of memory anytime soon, so is there a setting I can change to increase this limit?
    Thank you.

Hello michael, this limit is not directly related to the pdf files in the internal viewer, but you can try the following workaround: enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named dom.workers.maxPerDomain. Double-click the preference and set it to a higher value.

  • How can I determine if a created PDF file has been encrypted in a unix or linux box

I'm not sure if execution of the command file on my box will tell me if a given created PDF file is encrypted and with what level of encryption.  Is there a way to determine if the file is encrypted by using the Unix/Linux tools after the fact?

    Thank you

    Sam

It is assumed that you want to do this in UNIX command line / Shell / Terminal.  There is a way that you could do that and that is to 'rolling' and build the tool with the Adobe PDF Library SDK.  Datalogics, which is an Adobe partner has a port of UNIX for the Adobe PDF Library SDK which could be used to create a tool that does this for you, but there is a very big opposition involved in the price structure for the Adobe's PDF library.
