  Hmm, it sounds like you have some kind of hijacker in your Firefox. Try this:

  Disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

  • Command + shift + a
  • Tools menu > Modules

  Given that you want to examine several bookmarks you want to use the "Show Parent Folder" extension, which uses the library list. The only thing wrong with that is that you cannot sort on the Parent folder, but at least you can tell if bookmarks are in the appropriate folder.

  However, I recommend that you install all three extensions.

  To use the 'Jump to Parent Folder', you would right click on the bookmark in the sidebar which, like 'Manage folders', is only good for reviewing a bookmark at a time.

  The only file you need to transfer is the main.db database file.

  On your 'dead' drive, you should find this file in:

  Z:\Users\your username win\AppData\Roaming\Skype\your Skype name.

  Transfer this file to the folder corresponding to the new disk.

  Don't forget to replace the main.db file newly created by the copied file.

  Also make sure that Skype is totally turned off when you transfer this file.
