How can I update Acrobat 9 Pro after reinstalling

I uninstalled Acrobat 9 Pro from an old laptop and reinstalled on a new laptop computer from a CD.

I disabled the version on the old laptop and I installed the portable version 9.0.0 of the CD on the new computer using the serial number.

The version of Acrobat 9 Pro on my old laptop had been updated with version 9.5.5.

I now get an error message saying: "there is no update available" when I try to update my version 9.0.0 on the new laptop.

Sorry for the long explanation, but can someone help me with the update my version 9.0.0 9.5.5 version?

There are tasks I am not able to perform with the version 9.0.0 version that I have been able to perform with the 9.5.5 version.

Thank you

Joe

How can I update to 8.1, and then upgrade to the latest version of Acrobat 8 Standard? I found various updates, but they all require that 8.1.1 be installed first.  It's driving me crazy!

  • How can I update Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0?

The option to update with aid says there is no update. I saw ftp.adobe.com and attempted to install those update patches, but I am given and error message that they are not compatible with my current version of Acrobat. I need to install this update for 100 users.

You must install first of all patches in order, oldest.  They must be for the right variant for example Acrobat Standard/Pro/Pro Extended. If they are available. You left this much, much too long.

  • How can I activate Adobe Reader Pro after I bought it?

I recently downloaded Adobe Reader and I needed to edit the text in a PDF document under Tools, edit pdf, there is a prompt that displays "Upgrade to Pro" to edit PDFS. He pushed me to this home page: Subscription Options | Adobe Acrobat Pro and I put in my information billing and subscribed membership. I find nothing in the dashboard of the UI which indicate a serial number or account number, that I need to put in my Adobe Reader Office to improve it and unlock this feature and I can't seem to find any connection on the system of preferences in the desktop application. How to translate the upgrade on the desktop?

    Thank you!

    Adelle

Unlike some of the other subscriptions, this is not unlock Adobe Reader. On the contrary, it is a completely new product and separate, you need to download and install. Then, you will have BOTH and can run that you want to use - do not rely on double click on a PDF file more.

    Hi MacManInLou,

As per the tech sheet Acrobat 8.0 it compatibility has been tested only with Mac Os 10.4.3.

This version of Acrobat has been tested even with 10.6 or more but there are many users who still use on different versions of Mac OS x.

I suggest to install Acrobat latest version.

  • How can I download Acrobat 9 pro.

My hard drive crashed and I need to reinstall it on the new hard drive

    David-

If you do not have access to your old computer or upgrade your hardware, replace a hard drive, upgrade your operating system or reformatted your drive before you deactivate your software, you can ask Adobe Support to help you disable the software of the machine. Just have your serial number or Adobe ID ready, then contact technical support. Then, you can install the software from the links above and enter your serial number to reactivate the software.

If you need to find your serial number, sign in to your account Adobe. On the page for managing accounts that appears, all of your registered products and their serial numbers are listed in the section Plans & products. For more information about the location of the serial numbers, or on registration of a serial number, please see find a serial number.

If you have a creative cloud subscription, which includes Acrobat Pro, you automatically get a free upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC. Before installing Acrobat DC, CC desktop application must uninstall any previous version of Acrobat. Having several versions installed can lead to errors and software conflicts. Follow the steps below to reinstall Acrobat Pro XI.

It's great, that you're still all of your old versions. Most of the people don't. You are the exception. Not the rule.

  • How can I update Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Standard

How can I update Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Standard after installing it on Windows 7? Ive tried a few files of AcrobatUpd8 * _all_incr.msp , but I get an error that the upgrade program is may be missing. I can't afford to upgrade to X * when it works for what I need for which is simply to break the high multi page documents created by Quickbooks.

Certainly, he can't install the printer driver in Acrobat 8.0 in Windows 7 64 bit, it has not been written too. Apparently, however, 8.1 is able to install the printer driver.

Unfortunately, Adobe took to the bottom of the page with the release notes. But you may need to use the * GFE * versions (English, French, German). See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/update-patch-acrobat-reader-7.html

After 8.1 there is an update of "universal" (all languages).
