How do I don't see my devices on my network card

Imtring to see what are the devices on my network, but it never shows my ipad

If you try to see all the devices on your network that I would say either logging in to your router, which will give you a better idea of what devices are connected, or you can use a third-party tool such as 'the dude network monitor"which is a free tool for use domestic.

  • Windows 7 network can't see multiple devices on the network

Hi all.  I'm about to leave my hair on this issue - I hope someone can prevent the horror that would be me without hair.

I am running Windows 7 Home Edition on a personal computer that is connected via cable to a router UVerse also providing my home with wireless services.

A few months ago, I could see - of my PC, network and devices and printers - the two PS3, XBox systems and Samsung TV devices that are connected to my wireless network.  Apparently randomly, my computer has ceased to be able to see these devices.  After trying everything I could think of, I've finally reformatted the system (before Christmas) and everything was good again until last week when my computer stopped once more to see these devices.  I * really * don't want to reformat my system again...

Here are some details on where I started after the last reformat:

The PC is connected to a homegroup.

The PC has a wired connection to the router.  The devices are connected over wireless.

    The firewall is turned on.

    AVG anti-virus has been activated.

Network discovery, file and sharing printers and streaming media are all enabled.

    Password sharing is disabled.

Devices could stream Netflix/Hulu as well as files on my computer (using the PlayOn Server - I've never used WMP).

Now my devices can still Streaming Netflix/Hulu, but not the files on my computer.  The PC can't see the devices and the devices cannot see the PC.

Here is a list of most of the things I've tried to solve (although I've done so many things, I probably don't forget some):

I added the PC to the wireless network, so now that it is connected both cables and wireless.  I even tried to fill these connections, although I removed the bridge when I saw that there was no difference.

I have disabled the firewall completely.

    I disabled the AV entirely.

I switched a residential group to a working network and vice versa.

I gave you the assigned IPs devices in the router configuration.

I've rolled back all the windows updates installed since the last time the devices showed in the PC network.

I've removed the devices on the network, reconnected the and reconfigured to ensure that they have the media streaming (if applicable).

I did several reboots the PC, the router, and devices.

I added the PlayStation Network and XBOX Live and applications hosted under NAT/game on my router.

I have enabled file sharing for devices that use 40 encryption or 56-bit.

    Additional troubleshooting information:

When I try to add a device using the Add Device dialog box, no device never shows.

Under media streaming options, when I look at instruments under all the networks and Local network, no unknown device only shows (even in WMP).  All devices that * show are already set to 'allow '.

If I have access to my router configuration, the devices will appear as connected.

I can ping devices from the PC.

I searched endlessly on the Internet (including other threads on this forum) and have tried all of the suggestions I thought.  The only thing I can't do is activate uPNP on my router because routers Uverse do not offer this option.  However, I don't think that it's important because my PC could see these devices for some time after my last reformat and made no changes to the configuration of the router.

Because multiple and different wireless devices are involved, and because a reformat solves the problem, in my view, it is a Windows problem, but I can't understand what to change on my system to make things work again.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

It's a shame that you have to format the system first and now, the problem still persists. I really appreciate the efforts made to try to resolve the problem. This can be due to any dispute of third party software due to which the connection failed. I suggest you follow the methods below and check.

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter to diagnose the problem.

    Run the network troubleshooter

Method 2: start the computer in safe mode with network and then perform the clean boot.

Step 1: restart the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem occurs, proceed as in the link:

See: , start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: If the safe mode with network works, perform clean boot and check if any third-party application is causing problem.

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Method 3: To enable the network devices to display on the network map, they must meet four requirements:

    • Must be a HOME network or work: Mapping network only display the devices connected to a HOME network or WORK location. Devices connected to a network PUBLIC or FIELD cannot be displayed using the network card.
    • Devices must be DETECTABLE: The network discovery setting allows devices to be able to be seen by other devices on the same network. For more information, please consult: , enable or disable network discovery
    • Devices must comply with the LINK LAYER TOPOLOGY DISCOVERY Protocol: Topology Discovery LLTD (Link Layer) is a protocol developed by Microsoft to enable networked devices to 'discover' each other. If a device does not use the LLTD protocol so it can not be displayed in the network map. Windows 7 computers have the LLTD protocol implemented.
    • LLTD must be enabled on your LAN connection properties: The Link Layer Topology Discovery Mapper of e/s driver and the Link Layer Topology Discovery responder must be enabled on your local area connections properties panel.

To check LLTD is enabled, you can refer to the following steps:

    a. Select open network and sharing Center by clicking on the icon of your network down to the right of your task bar:

    b. now, click connect to the Local network

    c. now, click on Properties

    d. ensure that two LLTD options below are selected (by default, these options are still enabled in Windows 7).

From now to try the methods above and let us know the status. We will be happy to help you further.

  • VMware device with 2 network cards claiming the same IP address with two MAC addresses

    Hello.

I see messages intermittent my gateway network two MAC addresses associated with a virtual machine running on a 5.5 ESXi host for the same IP address.

The virtual machine is a MiTel 3300 controller for a VOIP system. the system is configured with two IP addresses, one on the local network and another with a public IP address in the DMZ. In the network configuration of the 3300, I assigned the address LAN IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 and the DMZ IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC (Mac for network devices presented by the ESXi host virtual machine).

On the host, I configured a vSwitch with exclusive access to two physical network adapters on the host machine. The vSwitch is configured with two machine virtual port groups, LAN and DMZ, with access to the physical network interface cards. Tab grouping of groups vSwitch port NIC, I replaced the order of failover of the switch to activate an active NETWORK card only for the Group of LAN ports and the other card NETWORK only for the DMZ port group. (I don't know how the content of the column of networks is determined. Neither is correct for the traffic on the physical switch. If these are configurable, please advise and I'll change the settings). The relevant parameters of vSwitch, groups of ports and VM are distinguished below.

On the virtual machine itself, through the VMWare host, I assigned 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 for the Group of LAN ports and 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC to the DMZ group port (best I can tell, anyway, since the MAC address field annoyingly obscures the last two digits of the MAC address - break if I invert the mapping) (, but all seems OK).

The goal here is to make sure that MACs of ports vSwitch the 3300 is listening and sending always correspond to the physical ports that are VLAN Tag by the physical switch to ensure the routing. Generally speaking, it seems that what is happening but, intermittently, we cross one-way calls that suggests a problem of routing between us and our SIP trunk provider; coinciding with these incidents, I get an email along the lines of "the security in the network device has detected a conflict of IP address with two or more devices. The period of INVESTIGATION "DMZ. DMZ. DMZ. DMZ' is claimed by the following clients with MAC addresses: ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2' ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC'. »

I did something in the configuration that would lead to this kind of collision intermittent? Have a hacked together a way to do something that could be accomplished in a way that is simpler and more reliable?

Thanks for any idea that you can offer.

    Kind regards

    J.

I probably don't fully understand your configuration, but it seems that you are not interested in using the collection of NETWORK adapters in the virtual switch of the VM MiTel 3300.

If it is correct, why not create two virtual switches, each with a group of port (LAN and DMZ) unique and with a separate connection of (vmnic2 and vmnic1)?

In general, collection of NETWORK adapters may be used to share traffic between uplinks and ensure that if one of the uplinks connect fails, a virtual machine still has access to the network.

  • How to list all the vm with more than one network card?

    Hello

Is it possible to only list all my s vm in my environment with more than one network card?

I tried using the Get-NetowrkAdapter cmdlet, but could not get the desired results.

    Get - VM | Get-NetworkAdapter | Select-Object Name. ConvertTo-HTML-head $a - body "Virtual Machines < H2 > < / H2 > ' | Out-file D:\vms.htm

    Thank you

    Hello, AGFlora-

Of course, you can do this with the standard as cmdlets:

    ## using standard cmdletsGet-VM | Select Name, @{n="NumNICs"; e={(Get-NetworkAdapter -VM $_ | Measure-Object).Count}} | ?{$_.NumNICs -gt 1}

Or, if you want to get the results a little (or a lot) more quickly, you can use the cmdlet Get-view as:

    ## fast-like, using Get-ViewGet-View -ViewType VirtualMachine -Property Name,Config.Hardware.Device | Select Name,@{n="NumNICs"; e={($_.Config.Hardware.Device | ?{$_ -is [VMware.Vim.VirtualEthernetCard]} | Measure-Object).Count}} | ?{$_.NumNICs -gt 1}

Those are both by selecting the names of virtual machines and their number of network cards.  Then you can direct this output to Export-Csv, ConvertTo-HTML, what you like.  What to do for you?

  • How can I associate the virtual machine to the physical NETWORK card?

    Hello

I have a host, has two physical network adapters.

I want to use one for VM and give an ip address for this but I do not know how to configure it. In my view, "Manage virtual networks" fuction for this...

    Thank you!

You should already have a phyiscal WHAT NIC assigned to VMnet0 (bridged). So if the choice as vonnection for a guest. Create a second connection open by assigning the physical NIC then to VMnet2, for example (VMnet1 is already in use). Assign this connection to the second guest.

  • I don't see Bluetooth devices anywhere on my control panel.

I have the Bluetooth software on my computer but when I want to set up it tells me to activate my Bluetooth devices. I went looking for him, but I couldn't find any option for Bluetooth devices in Control Panel at all. I looked at how to look, but I can't find it yet. I can't connect my device to the computer manually. Help, please!

    Hello

    1. do you have a Bluetooth adapter that is integrated into your computer? Or do you have plugged an external Bluetooth adapter?
    2. If so, is that you have installed the drivers for this card?

Before using any Bluetooth software to connect to a Bluetooth device, you must have the Bluetooth card on your computer hardware. If you have already connected to your computer check in the Device Manager on the status of this device.
Update the driver in Device Manager. When you do this, specify your third-party driver.
To update the driver in Device Manager, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. Locate the device.
    c. right click on the device, then click on set to update driver.
    d. follow the steps that appear on the screen in the Hardware Update Wizard to specify your third-party driver for the Bluetooth device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email attachments - how to save an attachment to the device memory or media card?

I have a BlackBerry 8310 Curve, which we got up to speed up our translation services.  the thing is that we have received a document attached, and we could not know how to SAVE the attachment to either the memory card or peripheral support, which would then allow us to transfer it directly to the laptop to work on.

The temporary solution we found was to convey the message to a different email address and download it to your computer. For some reason any later we could not attach the document to email the map of media either, so we had to email from the laptop to the blackberry, and then forward it to the client.

    So, my questions are:

How to save an attachment to an e-mail message OR the card memory or device support?

How can I attach a document to an email when ATTACH it to does not display the file in the folder? (of course I've already put it there)

    and as a side note

Why I could open the email attachment I had forwarded to the blackberry, but I could not open the original document (the two word .doc) sent customer e-mail.

  • How do I uninstall the drivers of devices, specifically for graphics cards

I got an AMD graphics card in a PC and now I switched to a NVIDIA one. I thought I could uninstall the AMD driver to save a little space (which has a SSD system drive), but it appears not in the Panel-> uninstall a program. It appears in the control panel-> system and security-> check for updates-> view update history, but there is no uninstall option. If I go into the Panel-> uninstall a program-> view installed updates and the search for "ATI Technologies" (start of title), nothing is found. Is it possible to uninstall?

You should completely uninstall the drivers AMD to avoid any conflict with the Nvidia drivers.

First uninstall all driver AMD, including the Catalyst Control Center components (if that's what they still call)

through programs and features - Reboot

    [EDIT: Exceptions-]

If you are using a processor or motherboard AMD chipset you pouvez always need CCC, and if you want to use the integrated

graphics on the cpu, you will need the drivers for it.]

-This should not be done in the future, unless a driver installation is damaged, but when changing brands, it is advisable to run the pilot merger or DDU and have this program to uninstall all of the remaining files

    (generally, a few registry keys).

After doing 'cleaning up' with one of these tools again reboot before installing the Nvidia drivers.

I always use Driver merger, but DDU has been more popular recently. A lot of people don't bother uninstalling via programs and features first more and go directly to DDU.

    Your choice...

    Treexy external page

Version of the driver display download 14.1.0.0 Uninstaller

-When installing the Nvidia drivers use the "custom" option and do not install features, you do not use

EG - 3D vision, HD audio. The only required features are the main engine and PhysX.

If you want to that Nvidia can help you with the graphics options to use in the games also install the Geforce experience,

but note that this will use the 'optimal' settings, and in most cases, you can push a little higher setting.

I'm still old school and use whatever settings are available in the configuration of games and with older games in particular.

Use the Nvidia - settings 3D control panel. Mainly for Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

Yet apparently Nvidia will force experience"across the world in the near future, so you can

want to get used to use it-

    http://www.GeForce.com/GeForce-experience

-Note that AMD and Nvidia first unpack the drivers to a folder in C:\. You can remove these after installation

the driver and save a little more space

(But honestly. If you are desperate for the space of HARD drive that you want to crop a few hundred

megabytes, you need another HARD drive to go with your SSD. I keep all my games on the HARD drive as the only advantage using an SSD is a slightly faster loading time. Games

    Run the same).

-The Windows Installer updates also, so it does not automatically download and install the drivers.

These are found in the 'optional' section updated and can be 'hidden '.

  • How is it, I can see my my Win7 x 86 portable media devices, but I can't leave my Win7 x 64 laptop?

    Hello
To give you a brief description of my home network setup:
    1. I have a laptop MSI Wind running Win7 Ultimate x 86
    2. I have a laptop HP DM1 running Win7 Ultimate x 64
    3. a Tenda 3 G router
    4. a NAS DLink DNS-320
So the other day I myself a DLink DNS-320 in a store of the local computer because my two laptops are starting to fill up, and my files are everywhere. After you have transferred all my two laptops on the NAS. Two laptops are running much slower than before so I decided to give the two a "fresh start" and do a clean install on both. All goes well for both facilities. Then I started to discover my new NAS and I discovered that apart from storing my files, it can also broadcast my multimedia files, which is great! Then I set up what files can be listened to my home network and everything is good to go.
Fresh off installed Win7 Ultimate x 86 on my MSI Wind, when I go to Windows Explorer > network, I see this:
http://img.Photobucket.com/albums/V213/copyl3ft/MobileUploads/MsiWind.PNG (FIleCenter is the NAS with UPNP on.) UPNP is enabled is supported by my router also). When I clicked on FileCenter of multimedia devices, there was a quick installation of some sort then my Windows Media Player opens and I noticed in the library, there is a library "FileCenter" under "other libraries". When I clicked it, I can see all the files I set as streamable. I even watched 3 movies streaming from my NAS just to give it a try. No problem whatsoever.
So, I turned my HP DM1 laptop running on a clean installed Win7 Ultimate x 64 also. I wanted to do the same configuration with my MSI Wind I can access my multimedia files straight out of WMP. Now, this is the part where I noticed that something is different. When I go to Windows Explorer > network, I see this:
    http://img.Photobucket.com/albums/V213/copyl3ft/MobileUploads/hpdm1.PNG
I don't see a "Devices" column at the difference with my MSI Wind. I opened my WMP and tried if it can detect the streaming of my SIN, but "FileCenter" library is not either. I tried to restart the HP DM1, nothing happened. I tried to restart their booth, same thing: MSI Wind can detect and play my media streaming fileswithout any problem, but my HP DM1 cant. I can just see the SIN in my network domestic (as shown in the picture). Now I have both on my table, connect to the router via wifi, but again, the scenario is the same.
I have not really changed anything two laptops. I just installed their individual drivers. I tried but I can't seem to find a solution for this. Help, please.
