How do I down - justify text in a div?

How you down - justify text inside this div of large, fixed position of 100%?

div #column {}

position: fixed;

Width: 300px;

top: 0;

bottom: 0;

}

Can it be done without creating a second div in and out of traffic?

Sorry, substantive justification does not exist in CSS.   The best you can do is add a top margin to your paragraph or position.

Here is a text

Or apply a background image to your division and the value of background-position: bottom.

  • How to make text in mainContent div scaling down on phones?

    Sorry for the awkward question, but how is it that the content in the sidebar and other areas reduce proportionally on a cell phone - iPhone and Android - but the text in the main content is bigger - more than the h1 and h2 titles? Look great on iPad and of course my old laptop awkward, but what can I do to get the text to scale down with the rest of what is in the mainContent div?

    I tried to set the text in the div to a certain px and % but doesn't seem to work. Yet once again, the sidebar scales down, why not the mainContent?

    Thanks for the clues...

    Do not disturb (coming down / up) even a letter / word

    Due to levels of zoom browser and personal user settings, there is no possible way to ensure an alignment of text on the web, unless you use images of the text.  Of course, this isn't an option because images of text cannot be indexed by search engines, screen readers or translators of language.

  • How to make columns of text with adobe muse

    Hi, how to make columns of text with adobe muse (like InDesign)?

    As Brad has already indicated, the columns are a difficulty.

    Set a text box to separate visually in separate (with a nice gutter) columns does not seem so difficult, but the problem lies in how to manage the flow of text in regards to positions, simple lines ugly upstairs and down a column, deliberate column breaks, how to connect to the text of subsequent block etc. The developers of W3C and browser have not yet agreed on this issue. (Look for the clear green statutes in the table: http://caniuse.com/#search=columns)

    As a matter of fact, Adobe has proposed and developed an alternative for wounds and flawed of current columns, at the W3C long meetings: 'Régions' (which could also leave the text to "wrap" around a box or even an irregular shape). But their effort was in vain. ' Technically too much, too soon, to be treated by the mobile browser engines ", was the comment of Google . So the W3C put this contribution on the shelf.

  • Slow down the text to voice speech

    I use text-to-speech on Captivate 4.  Essentially, I like the text-to-speech feature; However, sometimes the voice is simply too fast.  I don't want to add unnecessary punctuation because I use the same text for captioning.  Anyone know how to slow down the voice (Paul), so people can actually follow what he says.

    Thank you!!

    Adobe has established VTML in Captivate 4, which is a language for the text to speech.

    It looks like this (the color added):

    Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet \pause, \speed=30 adipisicing elit computer of \speed=30 \speed=50 \pause, sed eiusmod tempor ut \pitch=20 storage

    The \pause, creates a second break half and and a \pause. creates a complete break seconds

    The \speed= changes the speed for all of the text that comes after the tag in this segment.  In this case, I took up to 30 and then brought back up to 50 before the break and then down again at the end.

    Thte \pitch= change the tone of the speech.  I did very deep at the end.

    Here is one more in the explanation the depth of some of these days, taken from the Adobe Captivate blog:

    "

    The following commands the output voice quality to be controlled in amending its rhythm, intonation, volume and timbre. Speech output is changed to the word that follows, until the end of the command prompt.

    Speed control: Allows the French rates to be changed, expressed in an abstract scale 0-100.

    \speed=

    Example:

    \speed=60 (scale of 0-100)

    \speed=60 that this text is read at a faster speed.

    Pitch Control: allows the fundamental frequency (tone or ground) to change, expressed in the abstract scale 0-100

    \pitch=

    Example:

    \pitch=60 (scale of 0-100)

    \pitch=60 this text is read on a frequency of 60 Hz rating.

    Volume control: allows the volume (volume) to change, expressed in the abstract scale 0-100 or in decibels (dB).

    \VOLUME=

    Example:

    \VOLUME=60 (scale of 0-100)

    \VOLUME=60 that this text should be read to a rating of 60 decibels.

    Control of the stamp: allows the timbre of the voice to be modified by a change of frequency, expressed in an abstract scale 0-100.

    \timbre =

    Example:

    \timbre=60 (scale of 0-100)

    \timbre=60 this text is read to a value of 60 stamp.

    If you do not have the best voice, text, get them out of the folder 'Extras' on the Captivate installation CD, or download them here:

    How can I transfer my texts from my iPhone to my MacBook?

    Hello Harelug,

    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    From your post, I understand that you want to transfer your text messages from your iPhone to your MacBook Pro. I know how it is important to keep a copy of your messages. Currently, there is not a method to transfer your messages to your MacBook Pro from your iPhone. You can, however, set of continuity that will allow your messages will appear on your Mac in the future. This article has measures to implement continuity:

    Continuity of use to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac

    For messages specifically follow these steps:

    SMS

    With continuity, all SMS and MMS text messages that you send and receive on your iPhone may also appear on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch. You can also meet your contacts from any device is closer to you, including your iPad or Mac.

    You can start a conversation in the Messages application or click on a phone number in Safari, Contacts, or calendar.

    Set up SMS and MMS with continuity

    1. You need to iOS 8 or later version on your device iOS and OS X Yosemite or later version on your Mac.
    2. Connect to the iMessage with the same Apple ID on your iPhone, your other iOS devicesand your Mac.
    3. On your iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Add a control to both your phone number and email address. Then go to settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding and activate the device or devices that you want to transfer the messages.
    4. Looking for a code on the Mac, iPad, or iPod touch that you enabled. Then enter this code to check on your iPhone.

  • an alphabet by typing in a cell gives drop down suggestions from previous hits on the same column. But how the drop down to choose the suggestions of the other columns and other sheets.

    an alphabet by typing in a cell gives drop down suggestions from previous hits on the same column. But how the drop down to choose the suggestions of the other columns and other sheets.

    Hi mdsavol,

    Your observations are accurate. The 'suggestions' are previous entries in the same column that correspond to what has been entered so far in the active cell. The only direct user control is to activate the function turn on or off in numbers preferences > general.

    There are other ways to include or exclude items of suggestions:

    • To remove typos in the suggestions list, the user must correct the typos in the cell above the active cell. If they are more in the list, they won't be presented as suggestions.
    • To include selections added to the list, the user must enter these suggestions in the individual cells above the active cell and column where they are wanted as suggestions.

    There was a request here a while there is a list of suggestion 'live' similar to those of some websites, which offers a descending list of possible entries as a type in an input box.

    The only way I see to reach a solution similar to what you have asked is to use as many lines at the top of the non-en-tete of the table section to list the items likely to repeat in your table, and then hide the lines. You'll need a list for each column where you want to use this feature with a list previously planted. Existing items will then require a likely hit up to three, then a click to choose from a list small enough to enter a value into a cell. News he will need to enter in full the first time, but after that it will be put on the list and answer the same thing as the terms preseeded.

    While your setting upward (or decide not to do), consider going on the menu of number (in numbers), choosing to provide feedback from numbers and writing a feature in Apple request. Describe what you want. Explain how he could help the average user numbers, and then hope for the best.

    Kind regards

  • How can you change a text in an image?

    How can you change a text in an image?

    Hi Jasper,.

    It depends on how the text has been staged, and what has been done with the image after that.

    A quick test - what happens when you zoom in on, or enlarge the image?

    If the text retains its edges when amplified, then it can probably be edited separately from the image. If the text begins to show pixelation on the edges (like the picture), then there is no text to change, what looks like adding text is actually part of the image and can only be changed in the same way that you can change anywhere in the image.

    Here is an example:

    The photo is a photo (jpeg format), inserted in a Pages document created with the essay template. White text in the upper left corner of the photo is placed in a text box. To put the photo on this page (and the text on and around it) has been converted to a PNG file. When it is enlarged on this screen, the text finally a pixelated image...

    .. .the easily noticed in the thin relates diagonal 'o'.

    In Pages, however, the text and the picture are separated, and the text is a vector image - mathematically trained and scalable.

    The text here is contained in a text box and the text box was grouped with the photo. To change the text (in Pages), I need to:

    • Click on the text.
      Handles will appear in the corners of the selection.
      That click you select either the entire image OR just simply the text box.
      • IF the handles are blue x characters, the selection is locked
        Go organize (menu) > Unlock
        Sectionals unlocked handles are small white squares.
    • IF the selection includes the entire image
      • Go to the menu, rearrange and choose ungroup
        If the choice to separate is not available, the text may be part of the image and uneditable as text.
        Try to click twice (separated from the clicks, not double click).
        If the insertion point (|) is now in the text, the text is editable as text.
        Change the text.
    • IF the selection looks like a text box and does not the whole image
      • Click on the text to place the insertion point (]) in the text
        Change the text.

    Image showing the insertion point in the text in a text box on the image:
