I downloaded supposed solutions to problems of conversion and lived to regret it. So, I don't know what I can do to download these special files.

  HUS files are Husqvarna Viking embroidery files.   VIP files also are Husqvarna; Here is the Viking/Pfaff home embroidery Format.

  You have reason to believe that your Bernina embroidery software should be able to use the Husqvarna Viking files?

  On the site joydesigns.org, the design of the Dove who has the instructions "Click on the dove to go to the download page for design in .hus format" actually will download a zip compressed file if you click the icon ("FlyingDoleB.zip").  When you click on an image to download the file, you must select the option to save these files in a location that you will remember and then right click and select "extract" all to join the HUS of the file (not all downloads from this Web site are HUS).

  Once you have the file HUS, you right-click, select open with > choose program, then select your Bernina software in the list (or browse to its location in C:\Program Files).  If you check the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" you can double-click on these files in the future.  Of course, it depends on software Bernina being able to recognize the files of HUS.

  VIP files on some comcast getaway site should be handled in the same way.

  Adobe is not a software that translates documents. If you use Acrobat to convert a PDF to Word or Excel, you can choose the language to use for the optical recognition of characters (OCR), but this is not the same as the language translation.

  There are free utilities that allow to convert the text from one language to another, including http://google.com/translate.
