• Keep file names when exporting out of iTunes

  I save a lot of interviews on my iPhone, and transfer it to iTunes as a dictaphone. Now, I'm running out of space on the hard drive of my MacBook and export them on a separate hard drive. It's the Act of exporting the names of changes to a date. It's no good for me because I need them to be searchable.

  Does anyone have an idea how to do that?

  I have no voice recorder, so I'm not familiar with the files.  Be aware of what you see in iTunes is not the name of the file it's data embedded in the file tags.  You don't say what you mean by "export." There is an export feature, but who simply produces a list of titles, not the files themselves.

  You may need to rename the files according to the track tag information.  See the website Dougscripts for a File Renamer script that does this.

  You also have a possibility to customize your class "export."

  (1) you can set a custom action that does something totally different and make it available to your users. For example, we have done something in the past where a custom window gets arises and you can 'choose' attributes in your grid that you want to be exported, rather than be "linked" to the configured columns.

  (2) you can set the class that makes the export in the control panel under the frame settings. Maybe it's a little less flexible that you will be always tied to the model and the existing export format (it is passed to your class, rather than the CSVExport class), but you would be in full control of output. Like Sasha said, by default, CSV is the output format and things like formatting are obviously not taken in charge.

  I think that #1 would be the way to go because it offers the most flexibility for your users, but there should be a somewhat higher effort.

  I can't find how to select the image that I want to appear as the image poster in the exported video.

  I can choose what I can change one by right clicking a video imported OK, but not the sequence!

  I went through all the menus I can find and even training Lynda.com!

  I'm sure there must be a way, but I am blown away, if I can find it!

  There are two common meanings for the term "poster frame":

  1. A stand-alone image on disk (JPG, etc.) that is displayed by a player before the video is loaded - commonly used by applications of video sites (YouTube, etc), InDesign and PDF, etc files then the video resource must not be opened so that viewers see what they are about to watch - even if the image is normally enjoy the video should not be.
  2. An image resource built into the XMP/ID3 data of a video or audio file that can sometimes be shown in the player, but is normally set as he appears as the thumbnail image when you view the files in the Finder or Windows Explorer. There is no part of the content stream, it is in the header of the file. In the MP3 files, it is used to store album art.

  You can create stand-alone PP JPEG images using the icon of camera under the monitor and can semi-automate presets to export a still image alongside your video using Adobe Media Encoder, but there no option in PP (or via Adobe Media Encoder) to specify the image displays embedded in a multimedia rendered file. Several third-party applications can do, either during rendering (compressor / Squeeze) or after the fact (Quicktime Pro), but support for these embedded resources depends on the wrapper for the video file.

  The ability to define a "poster frame" in the PP clip bins, it is only there to help you organize your resources to project visually - for example if the imported film begins black, or if you want to choose a framework where the slate is visible-, but your choice has no effect on sequences to export and is not written back to the original film.

  Firefox 3.6 gives me a pop up that says I'm entering or leaving a site with a secure server. It's PARAMETERS in the Messages of warning on the Security tab in the window options. When you push the button PARAMETERS, a number of checkboxes allow for different parameters. I can't find it in Firefox 8.

  The settings for the 5 Warning Messages has been removed from security section in Firefox 4 and newer versions. These settings should be accessible through Subject: config now. So you're looking for the first and the third in the list below "parameters of the former in Firefox 3.6 on the Security Panel.

• How to keep the tags when converting m4a OGG

  I have files m4a on the iTunes store. So far I have found no program that converts m4a ogg AND preserves the tags in the process. So far, I'm stuck with doing the conversion, then use MP3Tag to export m4a files tags manually to a text file and re-import them in ogg files. Does anyone know a free program that can do this?

  Now that I bought new music, I tested it. But the OGG files produced with M4A OGG conversion of MediaMonkey to freeze my rocket. During playback of a file of this type, the "rocket" remains at 0:00 and does not react on any keypress, until resetting the drive. I tried with 5 and 6 quality settings. Also I have both tried to transfer files with MediaMonkey and by copying them by hand in MSC mode. Another problem seems to be that when I edit the tags of these OGGs with MP3Tag, they seem to not be recognized correctly more than the "rocket" (that is, that they are under 'Unknown')

  I found another program called MediaCoder. That one does the work.

  When deploying applications by using a files .alx file, we have the ability to specify the tags to provide copyright information.  Is there an equivalent property that can be added to a .jad file to use in the deployment of the OTA?  Or is the best way to add copyright information to the MIDlet-Description?

  Some fonts are protected and do not allow you to nest them. You can work around this by converting them into vector art by selecting the text image (s) and in the menu, choose Type > vectorize. So you will be no longer able to edit the text, save an original copy of the document before you convert, in case you want to change things after you export.

• How to keep metadata on the exported JPEG files?

  I be image editing in Lightroom for a while, but I don't have to pay attention to the issue of metadata so far.   If the final destination is YouTube, you may have a problem.  YouTube videos are video standards, including the resolution.
