  Acrobat 4 is quite an outdated version, and also, not supported. There must be a compatibility problem with Vista and Acrobat 4.

  You would need to opt for the latest version of Acrobat, as we stopped selling all versions of Acrobat once DC was launched.

  Make sure that the most recent version. i.e Acrobat DC would not be taken care of on Vista.You would need to upgrade your operating system to Windows 7, 8 or the latest version 10.

  You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.

  32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.
