  I had the same problem with mine (and a friend reported the same). I had to send to their service center where they have botched repair (left rear panel extrusion and the screen scratched). After that they ignored the 5 of my emails, I finally managed thanks again to send it back (Again). They have botched repair a second time, leaving once more and the pannel extrusion and added another zero to the screen without considering my request to replace it also. After 6 phonecall (they said they would call me back with counsel adapted every time and never did) and two more emails, they eventually admit they screwed up and sent me a new phone.

  All what I can say is good luck, it took me two months.

• How do the work of Illustrator CC Host Adapter?

  I tried to set up a test Extension for Illustrator that uses the library of the adapter to the host, but Illustrator CC seems simply never to load the plugin of the adapter to the host.

  I use the Extension Builder 2.1 test and Illustrator CC (17.1.0 64-bit) on Windows 7.  The AIHostAdapter.aip files are in the correct Plug-ins\Extensions folder, and the AIHostAdapter is listed when I go to help-> system information.

  My loads fine Extension in Illustrator, but the AIEventAdapter.getInstance () .pingPlugIn () is always out 'timed' event

  I use a simple "Hello" Extension created by the manufacturer of the "New Extension project" wizard extension and include the libraries of the adapter to the host in my selections of what must be used.  I exported the project to ZXP and installed.  Install the extensions Manager, AIHostAdapter.aip files go in the right place, Illustrator starts just fine and charge my extension, but the host Adapater never seems to be available.

  This same Extension works very well and very well in my other Illustrator CS6 instance can access the host adapter.

  Is there some other trick to get it to work with CC?  Or is the integration of host Adapater in CC somehow broken right now?

  Currently, "ValidationRule" is NOT applicable to the metric-column-level. Its there place either metric or QueryDescriptor or ExecutionDescriptor or display level.

  Another alternative, if you do not want to set separate settings is - have columns that are not applicable for versions prior to the posterior part of the metric. for example,.
  Metrics M1
  Column C1 (applicable for all versions of product - X, Y, Z and above)
  Columns C2 (applicable for all versions of product - Z, Y, Z and above)
  Column C3 (applicable for versions of product Y, Z and above)
  Column C4 (aplicable to the Z product version and above)

  Now, either you can have a single script to manage the logic to return values accordingly (No./null will be returned for columns C3 and C4 for the version of product X) OR set the ValidationRule to the application descriptor and call different scripts.
