• How to change the resolution of the After Effects project rendered in Adobe Media Encoder for an overview of H264?

  I want to make a 1080i computer at half the resolution or third resolution in the SOUL to speed up rendering for previews times low resolution. I just got a glimpse of H264 low-resolution take 5 minutes to encode in AE and 28 minutes in the SOUL.

  It's easy to do in After Effects rendering parameters. However, the option "video" in the SOUL seems to imply that is encoded at this resolution, not made at home.

  I went into AE and changed the setting in the composition to "half" window, but when I queue it in the SOUL, the 'Source Match' button still shows 1080.

  Short answer: the feature you are looking for does not currently exist in the After effects-of-SOUL workflow.

  When the SOUL is coding a mock-up of After Effects, it doesn't have the ability to affect the way in which the model of After Effects is rendered. The model will be always made its intrinsic properties. Even when you resize the encoding settings in the SOUL, the full model is made and scaling only during encoding.

  Caution: SOUL CS6, we began work to enable this feature to exist. When you right-click on a computer in the queue of the SOUL and click the Source settings, you can control the rendering of After Effects settings: Guide layers are visible or not. Our intention is to extend this feature, although the addition of parameters affecting the properties of the model (as opposed to the visibility of the layers) is much more difficult and remains on our to-do list.

  In addition, the composition Viewer settings do not affect the properties inherent in the model itself, it only affects the way in which the model is seen.

  As you correctly deducted the differences between rendering and encoding, I expect you have also already considered workarounds to get what you want (a model made faster which is coded in the SOUL), but summarize these ideas even when:

  (1) makes an intermediate file without loss of After Effects and which encodes your delivery with SOUL format, possibly using spyware files to automate the side of the SOUL of the process which is what I would recommend.

  (2) nest your scale model in a model more small that corresponds to your desired settings and encode this model in the SOUL.

  Make sure that you have installed, same version of After effects and Media encode.

  Hello!  I was wondering if someone could tell me what is the best for animation - After Effects or Flash?  The advantages and disadvantages of each, or something along thoes lines.  I looked at other threads, but they were rather dated (or simply unnecessary, list without reasons).  If it is useful to know, I would never do web animation and I'm already pretty familiar with After Effects in the motion graphics and Visual effects.  I also wonder which is more commonly used in the industry, and who would benefit me more in the future (job opprotunities, MICR).  Thank you in advance.

  Rick is correct. I used Flash and AE for the animation of the years and he is really not what you're trying to reach. Flash has advantages in my opinion you can put more assets on a layer in Flash where each asset requires a new layer in After Effects.

  If you do not use Flash, do NOT use video clips, use of graphics but it's 'old school', but when you export the result you can then import the swf file in After Effects and have the best of both worlds.

  I've updated operating system for OS X EI captain and since then, After Effects will not open (error attached photo).  All the other Applications of Adobe will open and working.  I have the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.

  I really want this problem to be resolved because I need After Effects for projects of the College.

• How to optimize a new iMac for After Effects

  I bought the most tricked out available, with 32 GB of ram, a graphics card updated, all new iMac everything.

  But export my project out of After Effects takes so much time on my new iMac, as it did on my macbook 2011 - about 6 hours.

  I know how to handle my export settings, so maybe I just need to change my computer's system settings to work better with After Effects.

  Mac had no advice and showed me Adobe, so I'm here.

  Learn more about optimizing your system for AE and follow these guidelines, allocate multiples of 4 GB of ram for your process. At the very least keep the ram allocated in multiples of 2 GB. If you use the rendering of the MP, then make sure that the total number of processors equals the total number of processors. It is easy to end up with 0 actually used processors if you allocate too much ram to a core. If you use traced rendered section make sure that you have configured correctly and that you have a NVIDIA GPU correctly configured and installed the latest drivers, CUDA. You must check the box "use maps not taken in charge" in your preferences for rendering raytraced using CUDA is is no longer developed by Adobe. If you do not have or have not properly configured your NVIDIA card, then DO NOT install Cuda drivers.

  Last point, note that all projects will work with MP because not all plugins and codecs are aware of MP well. Also, do not have your FAT disk cache.   I am brand new to Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe products in general. I have a composition created in the file after effects CC (.aep) and I would like to insert into Dreamweaver CC and then into my Web site. If anyone has some tips on how to do it, I'd be very grateful for the help. I've been struggling with Adobe products for about 6 months and they are really complex and I bought books and read everything I can on the web about this topic and it seems too complex for me to understand. Could someone please help me (layman's terms and descriptions would be great) and I am running Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit) and of course Creative Cloud products (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and After Effects, being the simplest, I was using) and it just seems to get more complex, more I 'dig deeper' in them. Pheew! If you have any tips please help me with this and I'll do whatever it takes. It seems fitting that I would need years to master these products. Thank you for your time and your consideration.

  'Video for everyone' is the only one that requires no javascript code at all, I think. It is also the easiest player to integrate.

  do not use one of the flv movies if they are part of your size limit. If the FLV files are not part of your size limits, you can leave the external FLV files in your swf file and create a swf file play FLV files using progressive download.

  You cannot embed fonts in AE. An After Effects project contains only links to assets and a script that tells what to do with layers rendering engine. If your animations are set up correctly you can either create the type in Illustrator and create contours or rasterize type in Photoshop, or create your AE type shapes using the layer > create shapes from text option so that you don't need fonts.

  I didn't know what you're trying to do, but, by importing the AE file in flash will not load faster or play earlier, and if you're lost some work in the file of EI, then I see not a positive to using flash in this case.

  You can import the AE file into flash and then use it as a model and recreate everything in flash using vector graphics. This may or may not be possible and maybe or maybe not the way you want. At the end of the day, you can take the AE part and keep the flash animation. It's a lot of work which may not lead to a better solution.

  With the help of HTML 5, you don't have even a plugin to play the video.

  One of the reasons may be the cause of the failure to install, is that new versions of some applications require a 64 - but system.  You indicate that your system is 32-bit only.  Check the configuration required on your machine to see where they do not match.
