# Time Machine is not an archive application. It's a backup solution to restore a system in its current state. Because of this, it will erase the data that are deleted in the system storage.

In addition, reading data from Time Machine to restore it to the system first.

  • How can I prevent the archiving of conversations Firefox after I have send a message to someone?

    When someone sends me an email and I answer, the conversation moves automatically to the archive. Can I get it by clicking on the link 'Cancel archive', but I want him to stop archiving the things in the first place. It seems to do no matter who the conversation is with, which means that it is not limited to personal emails from Gmail or Yahoo or I do business with a particular company. It's happened for several months. I don't remember to change the setting of the archive and I can't find any way to access the setting of archive. Thanks for your help.

  • How to change the 'Archives' folder for email accounts in El Capitan?

    El Capitan, before I was able to change the 'Archives' folder in the mail by changing the ArchiveMailboxName property in the ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Accounts.plist as a result file.

    Unfortunately, with El Capitan that has stopped working. The right Mail application does not take into account my changes and keeps using the old folder of archived messages no matter how to customize above setting.

    Does anyone know how to change this setting in El Capitan?

    Background: I use a dedicated folder to Archive each year. So I want to move this folder from Archive.2015 to Archive.2016 that does not work.

    OS X El Capitan (tested with 9.2 Mail), you can directly set in the Mail application:

    1. Select your new folder to archive.
    2. In the menu, choose mailbox > use this mailbox under > archive mailbox.

    In German, it is Postfach > sharps Postfach use als > Postfach "Archiv".

  • How to archive the log Purge ODI

    Dear gurus,

    I have two concerns: -.

    1. What is the difference (and how to find them) b2in session and scenario of reports.

    2. how to archive purged ODI journal.

    Could you please help me on this.

    Thank you

    Sébastien

    Hello

    1 session: when you run any object in ODI, deriving from the execution logs that are created by exploiting are calling the session.

    The script reports: this is a summary that appears under the node for the execution of each scenario

    For example. I have a TEST Version 001 scenario. When I run this, a session for execution will be created in the operator, and a summary will be created under the node for execution.

    Session: Details of the steps executed.

    Scenario report: this is the summary of execution

    If you click on it, it will give you the overview of execution:

    When you purge the logs, there is an option to also purge scenario reports. If you uncheck this option, the script reports will be retained, while session logs will be purged.

    For more details, please see this link: 23 monitoring integration processes (12 c (12.1.2))

    2 archives ODI Purge logs: you can take either an export of logs manually the operator before the purge.

    Or you can use the Odi OdiPurgeLog tool which includes options for archive purge logs. For more information about the tool refer to this link To Oracle Data Integrator reference (12 c (12.1.2)) tools and search for "OdiPurgeLog."

  • How to archive the folder to a different computer

    I have thunderbird on both computers. And I need to have a record of archives containing old e-mail on a different computer.
    They have unfortunately deleted here.
    Both computers are synchronized, but the folder of archive is not sync.

    Thank you
    Gary

    Do you want to say that the record of archive has been deleted one or both computers? If the PC is synchronized, make sure you have sharing capabilities for tuberculosis. You say "They were unfortunately deleted here." If they no longer exist then you of course cannot transfer sync or any other form besides. If you have a copy on one, you can transfer them another way. Open the CT that contains the archived file and minimize, so you can see your desktop also. Create a "new folder" on your desktop, in TB click ctrl a (to select it), then ctrl c (to copy to Clipboard/mouse), finally opened "new folder" and click ctrl v to paste the items in the folder. Then you can zip or an e-mail to the other PC or copy to a USB key, discharge to the other PC, on your desktop, open TB here, minimize, so you can see your desktop, create a new folder 'Archives' and repeat the steps in reverse to transfer them from the Office in TB. I hope this helps.

  • How can I treat the archived mails (see, search, delete, move to local folders)?

    What tools are provided to manage the archived mails?

    Local folders should contain a folder "archive", if you have checked all of the content stored in local folders.

    You can also specify the archive to use for each account in the menu (Alt + T) tools > account settings > copies and folders or sync and storage depending on the account type.

  • How to remove mail from the Mail Archives?  Where are stored the archived messages?

    Where are stored the archived messages?    I tried to remove them, but they reappear in the file archive.  In addition, now all my messages in the Inbox are automatically archived.  Why is this?

    If you use Gmail, go to the website of the email and check the settings there.

  • I really hate this version 23.0 requires me to have the band to tabs. I want to remove it. I tried to install version 22 of the archive, but it did not work.

    I rarely use tabs; When I work, I prefer individual browser windows. For a single window without tabs, tabs band is clutter and space wasted. Previous versions of FF has allowed me to remove the tape to tabs in the options. Now on v.23 I can't. How very, very boring.

    I tried to install the previous version, v.22, from the archives, but it did not work. I would be grateful a way to remove the band to tabs in v.23, or further instructions for down to v.22

    Thank you.

    The following may not be the only or most effective way to get the view you want, but that's what I saw recommended so far.

    You can ban the entire tab bar, or when only several tabs are open, by using a setting in the Tab Mix Plus extension.

    Please see this answer for more information: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/963676#answer-464257

  • Relocation of the archives to a new folder becomes 68.3bMB?

    A lot of existing Archives in new cases, began the movement then discovered that once they were in the new folder, they are grayed out in Media Import of the FCP and would not load. Then after moving their return out of the folder, discovered that they would not load in FCP more. And only now discovered that after that relocation of the Archives - each Archive unique, I moved is now 68.3 MB - not the 1 to 7 GB as before. So there's something really wrong going on here. Anyone have any ideas? Someone has experienced the same problem?

    When are the archives? Where exactly you are moving to? This disc? How it is formatted?

  • Problem with the archive log when you use RMAN for backup and restore (11g 2)

    Hello world
    Please help me solve this problem.
    I'm just beginner in Oracle Database (11 g 2). Today, I had a problem, I tried to back up and restore my db by RMAN. I delete all the files in /u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl / * , then I restore them easily, but the point is I have a table, I can restore Hungarian, but cannot restore anything ranks in it (something wrong with step restore database). I'll tell the detail below.
    -First, I create a 'Day' with command table create table hr.day (varchar (20)) day. Then I backup complete by this:
    run{
    allocate channel bkp device type DISK FORMAT '/u01/backup/DB_FULL_%d_%T_s%s_p%p' ;
    backup as compressed backupset incremental level 0 tag 'DB_FULL' database include current controlfile;
    backup as compressed backupset tag 'ARCL_BKP_FULL' archivelog all delete input;
    crosscheck archivelog all;
    crosscheck backup;
    delete noprompt obsolete;
    release channel bkp;
    }

    D ' other hand, I have insert 'Monday' to table. then do an incremental backup by this:

    run{
    allocate channel bkp device type DISK FORMAT '/u01/backup/DB_INC_%d_%T_s%s_p%p' ;
    backup as compressed backupset incremental level 1 tag 'DB_INC' database include current controlfile;
    backup as compressed backupset tag 'ARCL_BKP_INC' archivelog all delete input;
    crosscheck archivelog all;
    crosscheck backup;
    delete noprompt obsolete;
    release channel bkp;
    }

    Repeat 7 times (Monday-> Saturday). And I got these files:

    [oracle@rac ~]$ ls -l /u01/backup/
    total 400280

    If i ignore it and open the database, just my table in full backup come back but rows was not restored. I'm sure the problem is my archive log backup but i don't know how to solve it. Plz help me.

    Sorry for a long post.

    > 1 and from the 1205841 SNA sequence

    The SCN that indicates Oracle is above the range of SNA that you have in the ArchiveLog backups for sequence 1 to 15 (15 sequence ends at 1205840).

    The message

    channel ORA_DISK_1: restoring archives Journal

    Archives journal thread = 1 sequence = 15

    channel ORA_DISK_1: backup/u01/backup/DB_INC_ORCL_20160120_s117_p1 piece reading

    channel ORA_DISK_1: piece handle = / u01/backup/DB_INC_ORCL_20160120_s117_p1 tag = ARCL_BKP_INC

    indicates that he has restored the sequence up to 15

    You can check the log file alert database instance for messages on the fact of recovery.

    He is now asking sequence #1 it seems you did a RESETLOGS after sequence #15.

    Note: If you have NOT issued a COMMIT after the line is INSERTED in the table 'Day', the recovery of the database will have no * transactions * to retrieve.  An uncomitted transaction is cancelled.

    I am trying to download items 9 to a new computer and get an error message that says: "the archive file Elements 9 is missing" how to fix this?

    as well, you need the 7z and the exe.  put them both in the same directory and double-click on the exe file.

  • Recovery window retention policy removes the archive logs before backup?

    Hi all

    Oracle 11G on Windows 2008 R2

    This afternoon, I've changed my retention policy RMAN "RETENTION POLICY 3 REDUNDANCY"on RECOVERY WINDOW OF 3 DAYS RETENTION POLICY

    However, I checked tonight and after that my daily backup, all the archive before backup logs had been removed! So that means I don't think I can restore to any point in time, before my daily backup. All newspapers .arc were there after the backup. Then I tried another test and began the daily backup again. During the backup process, archive logs were deleted again! Now, I don't have any archives of newspapers...

    Is this good behavior OF RETENTION POLICY RECOVERY WINDOW? I thought that she would keep all the files needed for to restore me to any point in time for the previous 3 days. When I used a REDUNDANCY, with my daily backups, he kept 3 days of backups + archiving logs so that I could restore point-in-time at any point. How can I use WINDOW RECOVERY so that I can actually restore to any point in time for the 3 days?

    I wanted to change WINDOW of recovery, since I read that using the REDUNDANCY, it keeps only X copy a backup (so if I ran the backup 3 times a day, I would have only these 3).

    Thanks in advance.

    After a database RESTORE, Oracle tries to RECOVER a DATABASE.  He tries to 'find' the archivelogs for this phase in the location expected archivelog.  If they are NOT present in the location expected archivelog, it attempts to restore backups before applying them.

    Since your BACKUP... DELETE ENTRY deletes the archivelogs after that that they are saved, Oracle will have to use backups to recover the archivelogs.
