  There is no way to do it in SQL or PL/SQL, because not SQL PL/SQL is a way to get user input.  User interaction is a job for your front end, like Zlatko tool suggested in response to #5.  If your front end tool is SQL * Plus, you can use the substtitution variables, as Jarkko showed in response #6.

  If you drag an imageField on the page, when the user clicks on this when running, they will be asked to select an image file.

  The PDF image I have is too big to show static image, so I had the idea to let the user select where to what they want to sail & let them zoom in on the image & pan around them showing additional details that will be lost when the zoom for the benefit of showing the floor plan around on the screen.

  So to sum up, I want to do the following-

  Create one 'To' & 'To' input box that will then draw a route (I needed to draw as it would be necessary to avoid the walls etc...)

  Before or after the data entry and displays paths, allow the user to zoom and pan on the floor plan so that they can see clearly where the road is.

  Your first question: no, if you don't let the project he will get the same question slide when recovery. This also solves the second question, since this will be a new session, it depends on your LMS if two sessions can be reported.

  Starting from the version 4.7, I don't see any how useful filter adapted to your needs.  Then why don't you override keyChar() like this:

  I have not tested this code, but you can give it a shot...

  You can add a manipulation (or super.keyChar...) for Characters.ENTER and Characters.ESCAPE, as well as anything else you be useful, such as the comma and the period.
