  Because it's a new account (even if with the same name), the restore procedure is unable to put files and folders in the same place, they came (because this place technically no longer - if yes, then the process is done and the transfer is complete). It can create a set of separate files (maybe even under a new user name, if it has been stored in this way).  If so, all you need to do is copy the data as you would copy any other files and folders (not the main files of the user profile themselves but the data in them) on the new files in your user account and who will take care of the transfer.   Right click on the taskbar > select Task Manager > processes tab > right click on explorer.exe > click on end process > Applications tab > bottom right, click New task... > in the Open box, type explorer.exe > click OK

I would like to erase from my library and start again with a small number of collections in sync.

  Any advice on how this could be done would be appreciated!

  In preferences > Lightroom Mobile, there is a delete all the data button.

  First, in PSE14, the default value in the navigation area is displayed in mode 'adaptive grid. The navigation area is filled with images without text. You can switch to view "detailed" with the shortcut Ctrl + D. Allows you to see small icons for version sets, fireplaces, and albums. This mode also allows you to collapse or fold out versions or the batteries.

  The second thing to keep in mind is that in the Organizer, the only way to create games 'version' to select this option when you have recorded a version. If you save a Variant without this option, it is too late for the set of the version. The solution is to 'stack' of the original version and edited together.

  I do the thing IT Manager family.

  My daughter moved into a House with the lousy broadband (0.5Mbit / s!).  She had already signed for storage iCloud and used pictures of iCloud for several years with his iPhone & iPad.  She has now a large number of photos & videos (ex iPhone & iPad) in iCloud, but also a large number of old photos in her photo album on his MBP (which she didn't register to iCloud Photos with).  I would get all of his photos on iCloud and in Photos in his MBP, and she can stop trying to use the thing iCloud until she gets a better broadband connection (and just sync with USB, in the traditional way!).

  I use iCloud Photos myself and find it very confusing - iCloud Photos, photo, pictures of iCloud sharing stream...

  However, I don't see an easy way of simply by downloading everything.  If I access iCloud Photos via Safari, I can download photos, but there seems to be no option "Select all", then by selecting several hundred photos will be tedious say the least.

  If I sign his MBP Photos up to iCloud, it goes, I guess, download all her photos to iCloud, ok, BUT, it will automatically download all her old photos on iCloud and probably exceed its storage limit, but also take a long time (45 GB - if I have fiber at home, so perhaps tolerable).

  I did a little research and can find no easy answers.  One possibility is to create an empty photo library on the MBP, sign up to iCloud, wait for synchronization, the export of all photos in a folder, re-import the old library of Photos and then delete again.  Seems possible, but tedious.

  FWIIW, my daughter MBP is a mid-2009 13 ", just updated (by the family IT Manager!) to el Capitan. a little slow and only 250 and only 70 GB available.

  Go to a place where the internet is faster. Turn on iCloud photos on Mac.

  This will put all the photos in the cloud and on Mac.

  Once done, turn off iCloud photo library.

  Site will display the version by default, if any, in the case where you don't have one version other than the desktop version all devices will display the desktop only version.

  Apart from that, I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

   

  Method 1:

  a. right click on your desktop, and then tap rearrange icons by.

  b. see if "Lock Web items on your desktop" are checked, if checked, uncheck it.

  The problem should be resolved, otherwise, follow method 2.

  Method 2:

  a. go to control panel, and then click System.

  b. click on the Advanced tab and then click on the custom button.

  c. see if "Shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels" are checked, otherwise, check it out.

  Hi, I hope you can help me... My missing desktop icons with hotbar after a reboot, but the text is there and programs can still be opened. Thus, my Dowes does not open. Any idea how this can be? I ran Antivirus and malware programs already tried rebooting several times, by clicking on the desktop and then 'show icons', Ive tried everything... Also, in my "guest" all account works well, which leads me to believe there is a problem with explorer.exe.
