  1. What is sure, is that your database is not registered in OCR because there are missing elements in crsctl stat res t exit for database instances.
  2. default DBCA trying to restore an RMAN backup to create a database. DBCA probably also try to connect to the new instance of the database to run scripts.

  srvctl start database -d demo
  

  This should start all database instances.

  But first try to check the DBCA logs that should be under $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/dbca and to correct related errors.

  I don't think you can directly check the FP level. Which means that you can not simply query a table and determine the level of the public Service.

  You should check the level of patch/bug in ps_maintenance_log and compare with FP

  I'm about to do a clean install on a new server 2008R2 64-bit vCenter.  This new vCenter will manage 20 hosts ESX4 and about 300 vm.  His only role in life will be vSphere with UNIFIED messaging and a converter.  It's a new Dell 2950 with 16G of Ram and 1 TB raid storage local.  According to the latest compatibility charts, I can use any flavor of SQL.   If the OS is 64-bit, I suggest to also use the SQL Server to 64-bit.

  For 2005 or 2008 both could be good... but also check the compatibility matrix cause some people think (MUV for example) could not work in some cases:

  I have been programming since the beginning of the 1980s as a hobby.  I want to create a database by using Visual Basic 2013 but I have difficulty finding the information as required to fit.

  When I was with VB6 I used a book: beginning Visual Database 6 database programming by John Connell

  This book taught me everything I needed to know.  He used control arrays (I understand are now mocked) to define the forms of "state machines" which I liked a lot.

  I could go back and reinstall VB6 but I would learn instead to perform all necessary steps in VB 2013.  Can anyone suggest a similar book?

  I used the COBOL, FORTRAN, VBA, VB6, Basica, etc..  But through it all to adapt to new versions has never been so difficult.  I believe that the adaptation will be difficult if I can find a book that explain the changes.
