How to choose a Rotator ad based on the location of users

I have the following requirement and do not know how you can achieve what no main script is allowed in British Colombia

On each page a set of ad rotators are displayed based on the location of users - this could be a casual user, wandering on the web site or of a registered member.

There are more than 400 regions of advertising (lets just call them cities).  When a user walks on the web site, we know the IP address and can then determine the city with external services.

Now that we know the city the person comes, we want to present the page with the correct sequence.

It's obviosly not a good idea to load 400 banner ads and expose the required.

Can someone help me with this problem?

I'm no expert on JSON/JQuery/AJAX etc, a few examples would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You can go this way:

-Create a folder where you create pages for each banner, something like/banner/london.html, /banner/newyork.html and so on

-place an adrotator on each page

-on the model where you need to have made banner insert the script that you use to determine the exact location of the user and the name of the city translates

-create a .js which takes the name of the city and jQuery.load () the corresponding page in the folder banner, here are a few examples of the load method - http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/ajax_load.asp

I hope this helps!

PS - you can even have a single page for all the adrotator, each wrapped in a div with a unique ID 'city' and load the div containing the necessary adrotator, something like:

{module_adrotator, 15264}

{module_adrotator, 15265}

  • Show/hide menu based on the logged in user

    Hello

    12.1.3 Jdev

    I want to show/hide some menu items based on the logged in user.

    I will explain the current design:

    In my application, I created a menu as below. (It is created using 'Create or Update ADF Menu' file adfc_config).

    ibis_menu. XML

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <menu xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/menu">
      <itemNode id="itemNode_home" label="Home" action="goHome" focusViewId="/home"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_transaction" label="Transaction" action="goTransaction" focusViewId="/transaction"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_customer" label="Customer" action="goCustomer" focusViewId="/customer"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_upload" label="Upload" action="goUpload" focusViewId="/upload"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_profile" label="Profile" action="goProfile" focusViewId="/profile"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_serviceRequest" label="Service Request" action="goServiceRequest"
                focusViewId="/serviceRequest"/>
      <itemNode id="itemNode_report" label="Report" action="goReport" focusViewId="/report"/>
    </menu>

    I have a navigation pane in my Pages that use this menu as below:

    <af:navigationPane hint="bar" id="np1" value="#{ibis_menu}" var="menuInfo">
                            <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
                                <af:commandNavigationItem id="ni1" text="#{menuInfo.label}"
                                                          destination="#{menuInfo.destination}"
                                                          action="#{menuInfo.doAction}"/>
                            </f:facet>
                        </af:navigationPane>

    Now, I want to hide some items on the menu, depending on the Type of user loggedIn. I have the userType stored in the managed bean.

    How can I get this feature.

    An approach which I think is as below:

    Define a variable for each itemNode in a managedbean(session scope) and who associate with the property ' visible ' / ' rendering ' of the itemNode in the Menu xml.

    Please let me know is a good way to do it or is there another solution better?

    See you soon

    How can I create a scroll effect when the manuscripts of user to the bottom of the image will be blurred?

    Hello

    You can create a scrolling movement where the image fade out the scroll, you must use the tab opacity under the effects of scroll Panel.

    If you need especially be blur on the image, then you must change this image in any editing program like blurry image to make a copy of this image, then place the two images (real and blurry) on this page and use the scrolling motion or fade option to replace the images.

  • How to create a Top 10 based on the values in a database?

    I have a database table that stores scores for events, like a rating system.

    Users choose an event they want to score, enter their score/side and insert it into the database table.

    It gives me in my table:

    User - rating - event

    Football - 5 - Joe Public

    Football - 4.5 - Jane Public

    Tennis - 3 - Joe Public

    .. and so on.

    I want to do two things.  First of all, I need to calculate the average in each event, which is fairly easy, even if I don't quite have my head around the GROUP BY clause, which, as I understand it, only allows me to use a database field?

    Secondly, I would like to display dynamically from the database, the list of top 10 events based on the results of the average rating.

    How easy is it for reach?  I use the ASP/VBScript and MSSQL database.

    Appreciate all advice offered.  Thank you.

    Lol you can include as many values in the group by clause as you want. The output will be a line for each combination of group.

    > Then, I want to display dynamically from the database, a list

    In MSSQL, you use the rating feature:

  • How to search for a document based on the contents of the document

    on windows xp, I could search a document based on a combination of search criteria, including part of the name of the document or a word or phrase in a document. How is a search based on the content on Windows 7?

    In general, you can simply type the content in the search box and it will find.  It highlights the content that it matched in the search results (kind of like an online search).  Here's an example where I typed the word "liberation".

    You can also combine this with the file name searches.  For example, you can type *.xls release to find all the Excel files with the word "release" in them.  If your sentence content includes spaces, put double quotes around it 'product release 12' for example.

  • [ADF, JDev 12.1.3] How to hide menu items based on the logged in user

    Hallo,

    When the user logs on successfully, the applitacions led him to the main.jspx page.

    The main.jspx page has a menu bar that contains all of the available menus, submenus and menu items.

    After the connection, when the main.jspx page loads I would hide all the menus, submenus and menu items that the user is not qualified to see/use (I read the database).

    You kindly tell me which is the way the cleaner to achieve?

    Hello rohanwalia,

    Sorry, but I need more help

    I guess that the solution is to create a method in the AM who - reading form the database - returns a structure that indicates for each menu item should be visible or hidden.

    • How can I use the data returned by this method?
    • I call in a managed bean specifically dedicated to the management of the menu? Can I also use the already existing media bean, I created for the page?
    • What scope should have the bean?
    • Don't you think that it is better to define a 'visible' variable Boolean (initilized depending on the result of the AM method) for each menu item and how to bind the Visible property of each menu item to the variable respective in the bean in the bean?
    • Or I can loop the result of the method AM setting the Visible property of the menu items? In this case, I guess that all the menu items must be mapped into the bean by user interface variable. Am I wrong?
    • Is it not possible to write a method which, of the AM directly, hide the menus not necessary on the page (so without using a bean)?
    • In general, which are the correct always to hide menu items:
      • (1) before the page is sent to the browser (as "I can do it with PHP);
      • (2) once the page is loaded in the browser (as I can do it with JavaScript)?

    If you could give me some more detailed advice... I would be very happy.

    Thank you

    Federico

    (1) its best to make the treatment inside the method. You can return the parameters as normal java method.

    (2) Yes, you can use bean already exists in the project. But better to create a separate bean for this task of menu.

    (3) scope should be request unless you need to persist the attributes between requests.

    (4) Yes it is possible. You can define and initialize a Boolean variable with the results you get from the table based on the menu items should be made visible.

    (5) If you use the approach to point 4, then also you have to loop through the table menu items and set Boolean variables of bean. Yes you are right for the second part.

    (6) I'm not sure about this approach. How will you map it to your menu mode. It takes research.

    (7) before the page is loaded. I share with you links in above post with which you can do this.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • How to create a new sequence based on the properties of the images?

    I thought there was a way to have the first automatically creates a new sequence based on the properties of the images rather than having to manually choose the predefined sequence.

    For example, I cancelled out of dialog sequence preset and imported a video I want to change. Rather than manually choose a predefined sequence, I would like to say first to create the sequence for me by looking at metadata (resolution, fps, etc) and creating the correct order for that specific item.

    How can I dynamically use the right of itemrenderer based on the value of the field? THANKS FOR ANY HELP PROVIDED!

    The best
    Stephen

    You can have more than 1 column renderer engine. There are two ways to do this. One way would be to use States. A State for each possible value in the data. Since you either want a button (data == 'open') or a label (data == 'Full') by using the States wouldn't be a bad choice.

    Alternatively, you can use a canvas instead of a VBox. Make a label and a button with horizontalCenter = "0" "0" = red to make them each other. Make it visible according to the data value:

    where dataField is the value of the property dataField on this converter DataGridColumn.

  • How to I raise an event based on the State of a button?

    I'm trying to trigger an event based on the State ON / OFF button.  When I click on the button, I want the structure of the event in a loop to trigger each iteration until the button goes back to the OFF position, manually or programmatically.  Is there an easy way to do this?

    Thank you very much.

    A structure of the event is absolutely necessary?  It's so simple with just a case structure, as shown in figure 1.  If you use a structure of the event, you can place the structure dealing with the push button inside the time-out event, as shown in Figure 2.

    Hello

    You can use & P1_ITEM_NAME. (including the & and the.) the title of region - this string will be replaced by the value of the item page called P1_ITEM_NAME, then change the name according to your order of the day of the page

    Well, here are a few tips to navigate in this forum...

    (1) If a person offers a suggestion, answer like "Yes, it worked" or "no, it didn't work," then explain how it did not work if possible (you have an error message?, unexpected results, etc.)

    (2) even if a solution maybe not exact, if you helped to give you a new insight or if someone has taken the time to develop a response that helps you understand your problem beter, you can and should provide "useful" points

    (3) if the answer solves your problem or validates what you thought, you can mark it as "correct" and recognize providers of solutions and advice. ("Thank you guys for your help," etc.)

    (4) finally close the message itself.

    This would encourage others to help you in the future when you ask your question. (It is possible to "Watch" a user and never answer their question once again, if the poster is rude or ungrateful.)

    My final advice is Kishore is among the largest AIDS in this forum, my recommendation would be not not to the flame of his comments (even slightly) because it is he who will decide whether he will help you again. Oh, and Kishore hosts this forum. With many others in this forum, there just provides solutions and tips, devoting his time and resources when he can. :)

    I hope this helps.
