How to clear the box colored under the titles of the icons

original title: the DESKTOP ICONS

THE ICONS ON MY DESKTOP HAVE A BOX OF COLOR UNDER THE TITLES OF THE ICONS.  HOW TO MAKE THAT BOX OF COLOR IS IN GO?  I DON'T KNOW WHAT I HIT THAT PUT IT THERE.  I CHANGED THE LOOK OF MY DESKTOP. WHAT I WANT TO SEE IS THE ICON TITLE.

Hi Deb52,

To get the background on the icons, click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> system-> advanced-online Performance-> settings-> Tickmark "Shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels"-> Apply-> ok.

I hope this helps.
