How to connect 2 monitors to macbook pro late 2012

Hello, I want to connect 2 monitors to my end 2012 pro macbook and use monitors instead of the laptop.

It's quite possible,

To do this, you need the following:

-2 external monitors

-a thunderbolt adapter that can:

-convert thunderbolt to any video input located on your external monitor of choice.

-a way of Garland or split your thunderbolt 1 port to connect to 2 monitors

https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=sP1thwUcO9c

You can then use the closing clamshell mode to operate only on your external monitors

If you have any questions let me know.

see you soon

I was wondering if there is another way to connect the 2 monitors (including one with VGA and HDMI) and other (VGA and DVI) for laptop for the screen area of extended work, other than the use of a Dynadock? Thank you

No, all I know is not possible.

You can use the VGA or HDMI output port video. But it is not possible to use the two video ports simultaneously.

In this case you need some kind of external solution like Dynadock U3

  • Thunderbolt not connect not not on MacBook Pro (early 2011)

    Hello

I'm trying to connect my early 2011 MacBook Pro to a hub CalDigit Thunderbolt. The Mac does not see the hub at all.

I tried the hub with Macbook Air from a friend, and it works fine, so I guess there is a problem with my Thunderbolt port.

The Thunderbolt on the Macbook pro port doubles as a mini display port and that works very well when connecting to a screen, but it doesn't seem to work like a thunderbolt (despite the lightning on the port symbol) port. Here is the report system for love at first sight. I wonder if I have the right firmware. I've just updated (10.10.5) operating system and that has not solved the problem. The point to use the hub to get connectivity USB 3 as the Mac has only 2 USB ports. Any help much appreciated.

When you have tested the hub Thunderbolt on your friend's Mac, did you use your cable?  Maybe that's the problem.  If this isn't the case, then try reset SMC and NVRAM:

  • How well El Capitan will run on an old 15 "model of MacBook Pro"Late 2008"

One of my Macs is an old 15 "model of MacBook Pro"late 2008 ". I know that it supports El Capitan, but what I wonder is really run him El Capitan? What interests me is the user experience of real life?

My MacBook Pro is currently under Snow leopard 10.6.8 and it has 8 GB of RAM installed.

I thought maybe I could take an approach gently gently and install El Capitan on a different hard disk, or maybe partition the internal hard drive and install it on one of the partitions? Any thoughts on this approach?

My internal hard drive is a model 1 TB of Seagate hybrid.

    Thank you!

With 8 GB of ram, it will work fine. Install on an external drive or an internal partition is a wise option that you can get rid of it if it does not meet expectations. Be aware that some of your applications can work more like exceeding 10.6.8 Rosetta support has been dropped.

  • With cable of HDD to SSD Macbook Pro mid-2012

I've recently upgraded to SSD (Samsung Evo 850) of the HARD drive on my Macbook pro mid-2012. However, the installation of the SSD has been very painful. I tried to use in recovery mode disk utility, several times but it fails to remove or mount the SSD drive. I thought it was the faulty SSD. Then I hung the SSDS via a USB port and proceeded to install OS X on it (using my HARD drive). The SSDS works very well with the USB key, so I put it in and hooked up with the flex cable that was previously used for my HARD drive. However, this does not work, the operating system sees that there is a reader hooked, sees the name, size and etc, but does not charge, gives me the sign of question mark folder, which means there is no hanging drive. So I think it's something with the HARD drive, SATA cable. But the cable works perfectly when used with the HARD disk. So I was wondering if the HARD drive cable that comes with Macbook Pro mid-2012 is compatible with the SSD. I watched several videos of people the SSD HARD drive upgrade, but they all seem to be using the same cable. Any ideas what could be the problem or if I need a different type of cable? Thank you.

Try this it worked for another user having the same problems.

Your MacBook is looking for initial start-up by car but can not find.

Power on the Mac and hold down the 'option' at the same time, and then manually select to boot from the drive of choice.

    Also, try this first:

    SMC and the PRAM Reset

I have a MBP mid-2012 13 inches and I did an upgrade SSD with a Samsung Evo 850-series (500 GB.). However, I had no problem.

I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the original disc for the SSD via a USB-to-Sata adapter.

My first start was slow because I don't have the SMC / PRAM reset my MBP was looking for startup disk.

However after my MBP starts very quickly. I got no problem with Samsung Evo SSD. They work very well with Macs.

Don't forget to activate the "pad" your non - owc SSD support.

Open "terminal app" and enter the command 'sudo trimforce activate' select YES, YES... and restart after completing

So it seems that you need to develop your ram on this model because your running a lot of things at once, or the system is spent as you have used. Its pretty easy to install new ram on your template as well.

Your computer can be upgraded to 16 GB of ram on this model. There are several kits out there to buy for this as well with. Let me know if you need help.

  • Double disc SSD/HDD on MacBook Pro late 2011

So I finally finished putting my double drive on my MacBook Pro late 2011. I ended up putting the SSD where the optical drive has been, since research told me that the end 2011 MBP is the lucky model with an optical drive that supports Sata III. If anyone can give me a reason to spend my SSD and HDD, please let me know.

Anyway, now I ask to help with setting up my macbook pro to use two disks. I copied everything on the SSD and the SSD drive is set to start my computer to the top. I can already tell that this thing is so much faster now. However, I basically just have two exact copies of my all my stuff on the two disks. How can I configure my computer to know which drive to use? I want a few things to use my HARD drive and other things to use my SDD, not all at once. Where are these settings and how to do?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Jdsr4c:

    I have a Macbook Pro 2011 start.

I installed a 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO instead of HD.

I moved the HD to the optical Bay.

Optical Bay has 3 Gigabit speed. HD space has a 6 Gigabit speed.

See the screenshots of my mac.

The old HD, I would reformat is not bootable.

I use my old HD for storage of movies, etc.

So for example, I'll download a movie and then move it to my old hard drive. I'll put it in a directory named for example movies.

On the SSD, I'll do an 'Alias' pointing to the movies on the old HD directory (on windows, it would be a shortcut).

In any case, hope this helps.

  • Slow start after MacBook Pro mid 2012 Kingston XFury 240 GB SSD upgrade

Hi dude, I would ask why, after I upgraded my MacBook Pro mid 2012 at Kingston XFury 240 GB SSD, my MacBook Pro take more than an hour at the system boot? The purpose of my mac said the SSD (S.M.A.R.T. is checked) and RAM information. I also restart the EL Capitan already.

Is - this problem is hardware or software?

Did you properly prepare the new SSD?

Install OS X using the recovery network

Make sure that you have backed up your files because the following procedure will remove all of the hard drive.

Start on the recovery of the network server:

Restart the computer after the ring, press in and hold the COMMAND + OPTION + R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15 - 20 minutes - until the main recovery menu appears.

Partition and format the hard disk:

    1. Select in the main menu disk utility and click on the continue button.
    2. After load of THE select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entrance Out-dented with the mfgr.) ID and size) in the list on the left. Click the Partition tab in the main window of THE.
    3. Under the scheme of titled Volume set the number of partitions in the menu drop-down one. Click the Options button, set the GUID partition scheme, and then click the OK button. Set the type of Mac OS extended (journaled) format. Click on the apply button and wait until the process is complete. To leave and return to the main menu.

Reinstall OS X: Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than wireless.

This should restore the version of OS X, originally installed on the computer.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I use a splitter cable, and have verified meter that it is properly connected.  Also the microphone that I try to use the works when connected to a separate Recorder device, so I know who works very well.

The audio output on a 2012 port does not support the audio input.  You will need to use the USB ports for audio input.  This will require an appropriate hardware and software.

    Ciao.

  • Dell P2715Q + U2715H w / 15 "MacBook Pro late 2013

I recently bought a Dell P2715Q via the Dell Web site to run with my MacBook Pro late 2013 w/NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 M, Yosemite 10.10.2,"limited which I am very happy with 15".

I'm running the P2715Q via the Port Thunderbolt at full resolution 60 Hz.

I'm considering buying a U2715H to run as a second screen. Is it possible to run a U2715H display via HDMI port at full resolution 60 Hz?

I tried to launch a Thunderbolt Apple display through the second port Thunderbolt and couldn't get two monitors to work when the P2715Q ran in secondary mode STD to 30 Hz. ideally I want to save the second port Thunderbolt for my drive external HARD in any way.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don't know if this helps, but what are the maximum rates. The MBP supports the latter, no idea.

    P2715Q
    maximum resolution of CDM/DP 3840 x 2160 30 Hz or 60 Hz
    HDMI 1920 x 1200 60 Hz maximum resolution

N ° so you have a backup if something goes wrong you can return to Yosemite.
