How to convert raw files from my D300 Nikion for AdobeRGB sRGB?

How to convert raw files sRGB to my Nikon D300 AdobeRGB files for use in Lightroom and Photoshop?

I got caught for years in sRGB because I read that it is better for sharing on the web if any alteration in Photoshop may be made.  Now I have the time to focus on learning Photoshop and Lightroom.  Should I opt for color my default AdobeRGB camera mode?  Can I easily convert existing files to sRGB to AdobeRGB in Lightroom/Photoshop?  I understand, as a beginner, is that sRGB files cannot be modified and files AdobeRGB.

Thanks for your help.

George Ollen

Save as raw rather than jpg. Then the color profile will not be embedded in the file. Then Lightroom or camera raw can assign AdobeRGB or SRGB color profile.

BTW, if you choose - choose AdobeRGB and then convert to SRGB, not the other way around. AdobeRGB has a broader that is SRGB. It's easier to strip color to add.

    Original title: download embroidery files

How can I download files from HUS and VIP for my Bernina Version 6 software? Currently, I'm only able to download ART and PES files.

joydesigns.org (a HUS file extensions) and comcast.net (a VIP file extensions). I get a message that says "windows cannot open this file, use the web or select the program from a list". I downloaded supposed solutions to problems of conversion and lived to regret it. So, I don't know what I can do to download these special files.

In your original post, you said you wanted to download files to use with your software Bernina HUS and VIP.

HUS files are Husqvarna Viking embroidery files.   VIP files also are Husqvarna; Here is the Viking/Pfaff home embroidery Format.

You have reason to believe that your Bernina embroidery software should be able to use the Husqvarna Viking files?

On the site joydesigns.org, the design of the Dove who has the instructions "Click on the dove to go to the download page for design in .hus format" actually will download a zip compressed file if you click the icon ("FlyingDoleB.zip").  When you click on an image to download the file, you must select the option to save these files in a location that you will remember and then right click and select "extract" all to join the HUS of the file (not all downloads from this Web site are HUS).

Once you have the file HUS, you right-click, select open with > choose program, then select your Bernina software in the list (or browse to its location in C:\Program Files).  If you check the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" you can double-click on these files in the future.  Of course, it depends on software Bernina being able to recognize the files of HUS.

VIP files on some comcast getaway site should be handled in the same way.

  • How to convert raw data from files (not CameraRaw) of the lot?

    Hello

I have a number of files that are images of raw data, which means that each has a header of a certain length, containing some info readable on the dimensions height/width, the bit depth and then only the data on the color of each pixel.

CameraRaw does not open them directly, but they are rather loaded in Photoshop with a dedicated loading menu options.

I can open one by one after extension *.raw which apply to them and typing height, width, depth and size header in loading options menu that opens, but I would like to know how to batch convert them rather than having to do this process for each of them.

Of unfortunately Photoshop batch processing does not seem to be able to their treatment on its own, I guess that's maybe because they do not have the usual software-readable RAW headers found in several treaties formats.

    Thank you

    Alfred

You may be able to write a Photoshop script to do this.  Script can access your files from file systems.  For example, a Script could rename a file to Name.RAW.  Then open Name.RAW in Photoshop with the logon options.    However, I do not know for sure there and options open to the adobe open raw file object.  You need to do this, read the script.

  • How open or to convert RAW files from new CANON 5 d Mk III in LR 3 and CS 5?

    Hallo!

My new CANON 5 d Mk III RAW files are not convertible in LR 3 and CS 5.

What is the reason and how to solve the problem?

Work around conversion the CR2 to DNG with the dng converter or ACR 6.7 will work in LR and CS5, but not with the latest Adobe raw conversion engine that is HP 2012.

Be sure to keep a copy of the CR2 files, if you want to use the Canon software.

  • How to convert raw files a new Canon 7 d mark II in 12 PS elements?

I downloaded the 8.8 Raw Converter but PS elements 12 said: it does not support my camera.

Camera Raw has supported the 7 D Mark II from version 8.7.

But, referring to the applications camera Raw compatible Adobe indicates that 12 items is only compatible with Camera Raw to version 8.5.

So you will never be able to edit the Raw of Mark II 7 d to 12 items.

    This gives you two options:

    1. Pay to move to 13 items so you can use Camera Raw 8.8 and modify Raw 7 d Mark II removing elements 13 (not 12)
    2. Download the free Adobe DNG Converter, convert all 7 d Mark II Raw files to DNG, and then edit the DNG in 12 items. Any upgrade of the required elements, but all the Raw files should be converted to DNG before mounting.

    Thank you

    Jen.

A Canon EOS 5 d Mark II?  The Adobe Camera Raw listed is 5.2 at least. CS4 can support up to 5.7

I think the problem is that you have the basic version, 5.1 or earlier. Upgrade to 5.7

I have Adobe CS5.1 and must be able to open the Nikon NEF RAW files from my Nikon D4s... y at - there a downoad on the Adobe site for it or how can I get the update to do?

    Hi XDCAMAN,

Photoshop requires at least version 8.4 of camera raw to be able to directly open these Nikon NEF D4S files which is available in Photoshop CS6 and above versions (not in CS5)

Reference article: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

You can upgrade to a higher version of Photoshop or download Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG and access these DNG files in Photoshop CS5.

  • How upgrade CS5 to read the RAW files from my camera Canon 70 d improved. He reads my 550 d

How upgrade Photoshop CS5 to read the RAW files from my camera Canon 70 d improved. He reads my 550 d without problem

You may not and you'll never be able to open your raw Canon directly files in CS5.

This camera was supported for the first time 8.3 of ACR, which requires at least Photoshop CC to run.

You either subscribe to Photoshop CC (CC) on a monthly basis, or you use the free support only to convert each batch of this camera model Canon raw files to convert them to DNG raw that you can then open in CS5.

  • CS6 missing tools and convert the RAW files from my Canon D 760

I have Creative Suite Premium edition in 2012. There seems to be missing tools and I can't convert my RAW files from my Canon D 760. Can anyone help?

There seems to be missing tools

    Those who precisely?

Also, I can't convert my RAW files from my Canon D 760. Can anyone help?

    Devices supported by Camera Raw

The 760D has been first of all fully supported in Camera Raw 9.0.

Download and install Camera Raw 9.1.1 which is the latest version of Camera Raw, which is compatible with the CS6.

In Photoshop, click Help > updates.

Check if the correct version is installed in Photoshop by

Mac: Photoshop > about Plug-Ins > Camera Raw

Win: Help > about Plug-Ins > Camera Raw

If this update mechanism is not working, try to manually install Camera Raw 9.1.1

Definitely. You need the version 5.7, which is only for CS4.

You need a DNG Converter, but since you're running XP, it will be the 8.3 DNG Converter

  • RAW files from my EOS T3i. My computer is Windows 7-64 bit.

I want to use the Raw files from my EOS Rebel T3i. When I went to load the Canon driver to convert this it turns out there is no driver for my computer operaing system. I have a fairly normal computer with Windows 7-64 bit. They do support the 33 bit processing. There seems to be no support for Windows 8. Now what? Is there a driver outside sonversion, should I use instead? It's will be supported for Windows 8 in the near future?

Default method of Windows 7 to display RAW files is to use the Canon RAW Codec, a utility that must be installed on the computer and that has (or had, I mean, I knew) No 64-bit version. For 64-bit Windows 7 cannot display files RAW except via a program, usually a photo editor, specified by the user.

Windows 8 has its own conversion utility, the Microsoft Codec, which allows it to display different suppliers, including the Canon RAW files. The Microsoft Codec works on 32-bit versions and 64-bit of Windows 8. While the Microsoft Codec is used by default to display RAW images, the user can replace it with a photo editor, just like in Windows 7.

None of this applies to the actual editing of RAW files. Many (most?) photo editors will run in 32-bit versions and 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8. An exception is the version 4 of Digital Photo Professional, which runs only under the 64-bit versions of operating systems.
