  I see sites like SlideRocket, Empressr, Joanieand SproutBuilder all generating a SWF file as their output. These sites are built in Flex, so I wondered how they create their sovereign wealth funds. Is any kind of a class library AS available to do this? Other third party components? I would like to build a widget-maker specializing in Flex, to produce a SWF file, but for now not sure how to do this.

  You can use Adobe LiveCycle, which can create funds rulers of java, ActionScript is really powerful, and costs much $. Or create a service on the server that accepts the parameters and other artifacts, creates a compilable MXML file with data, and then compiles a swf with all content referenced or embedded. You might consider building an AIR application that runs on the user's computer and allows them to compile locally as well, but in both cases, you will need to call the compiler as an external process, to build your swf and create a wrapper html for the player. It is not trivial and you will mainly use the application to allow others without programming skills to build the FLEX program without knowing how to code.

  There are some who would like to see the FLEX PLAYER become its own compilation environment as well as the execution so that you could produce MXML in the drive or loaded from an external source, compile it, and then play or a SWF output. I'm not in favor of what they had too many problems with memory and the environment. Separate the PLAYER from the compiler and things will be simpler.

  It would be a cool app and obviously there are companies that do this, but your business model should dictate that you decide to take, not the technology of management.

  Have you used Blackberry Webworks SDK for smartphone or Tablet SDK? The .cod files should be located in the subfolder OTAInstall of your output folder if you are using the Webworks SDK for Smartphone

  Send Adobe is the current solution to Adobe for sending large files. (This is Adobe SendNow who retires soon.) Can you tell us what you were running by using Adobe send?

  It is not a special version of Zip for Acrobat files, but you could reduce the size of the PDF file if you have Acrobat. Or, in Windows, you can create a Zip file by choosing File > Send to > compressed (zipped) folder.

  Is that your alert log file size seems huge? Rename it with another name, Oracle will automatically creates a new name that alert_.ora

• How to get strobeMediaPlayBack.swc use in flex?

  I am new to flex and flash. Our group has developed a silverlight with feature Player multimedia time text search. And we also want to do the same thing in flash. Hope you guys can give me a hand. Thank you in advance.

  Basically, I want to have such a player that: users can enter text and a button to trigger the sending (HTTP POST) to the server.

  Server then send back xml data and the player can analyze the data and display the text in time in a list (like cue point).

  Also clicking cue point the player will look to this post.

  I try to edit AS3 code in the StrobeMediaPlayBack and create the controls/widgets & logic inside the drive. But as I am new to flash, it is not easy.

  So I try to follow the StrobeMediaPlayBack towards a .swc file and add the control (such as the button, TextInput) & logic in mxml.

  I add the .swc file in a new flex project and write the code below in the .mxml file.  He get errors when I debug or run.

  Is this the right way to add 'object' in mxml (I guess that's not; <)? Can anyone help?

  I use the writing on measurement file express VI in my code and I plugged into it a control that sets the location where to save the file of measure

  The only problem is that the file of measure must exist first! I cant for example, from the Control Panel, click the directory to browse box, navigate to a folder and type a name for the file. It just says: file not found! It's like the control file directory opens a file to save in, rather than creating a new file to this location
