  I have a new HP laptop with Windows 8.1. I HATE the charms bar. It is very annoying.   I tap on the touchpad, and I touched the area where you can disable the touchpad about 1,000 times a day. No matter if I do what he says, I can't that faucet back on.

  Follow a few ideas.

  Enable / disable

  Control Panel > display icon > mouse > Settings of TouchPad > click on "enable TouchPad.
