  (c) and follow the installation wizard to install the drivers for the wireless network cards.

  You do not have to manually disable you the WiFi, all you have to do is to run an ethernet cable from your router/access point and connect to your ethernet port on the laptop.

  However if you use a Modem and not a gateway/router then you can buy a new router, or ask your ISP to upgrade your Moderm to a gateway.
