How to display literals in the SELECT because of a condition results column?

Lets start with the simplified below table and table of values:

TestTab:
col1, col2
==== ======
1, 2
55.66

Now I want to run a SELECT similar to:

SELECT col1, ((col2 > 10)? ('Yes': 'no') «10 more»
FROM testtab;

should give the following result table:

col1, 'one more big 10.
====== ========
1, 'no '.
55, 'yes '.

Unfortuantely the replacement check inline (which exist in languages such as java, C++, and many others)

((col2 > 10)? ('Yes': 'no')

which means:

(condition)? exit-if-true: exit-if-false

does not work in SQL.

If not, how can I get such a result table?

Do you need it?

WITH TESTTAB AS
(
SELECT 1 col1, 2 col2 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 55,66 FROM DUAL
)
SELECT
    COL1,
    COL2,
    CASE
      WHEN COL2>10 THEN
        'YES'
      ELSE
        'NO'
    END "greater 10"
FROM TESTTAB;

  • There is no possibility of ambiguity in the SELECT clause because any identifier in the SELECT clause must be a database column name

    Hello

    Doc Oracle says the following on the identifiers in the SELECT in PL/SQL clause: there is no possibility of ambiguity in the SELECT clause because any identifier in the SELECT clause must be a database column name.

    If we assume that only valid column identifier are allowed in the SELECT clause.

    But I tried the following:

    DECLARE
    toto NUMBER := 10;
    tata NUMBER := 0;
    BEGIN
    SELECT toto INTO tata FROM employees WHERE employee_id = 101;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(tata);
    END;
    /

    And there is no error telling me that toto is not a column in the employees table and the result is the same as: toto: = aunt;

    Won't the doc or did I just miss something?

    Thanks for your response!

    Post a link to this Oracle doc.

    But I tried the following:

    1. DECLARE
    2. Toto NUMBER: = 10;
    3. Auntie NUMBER: = 0;
    4. BEGIN
    5. SELECT toto IN Auntie FROM Employees WHERE employee_id = 101;

    7. END;
    8. /

    And there is no error telling me that toto is not a column in the employees table and the result is the same as: toto: = aunt;

    ...

    You're right that toto is an identifier, but this isn't a column name.  (Of a subquery) column alias are not database of the names of columns either, nor are the names of the user-defined function.

    Also, there is a possibility for ambiguity even if all the names are the database column names.

    Won't the doc or did I just miss something?

    I can't say until I see the doc you're talking about.

    Oracle documentation is sometimes misleading and sometimes just plain wrong.  For each mistake outright example that I saw in the docs of Oracle, there might be 20 cases where the meaning is unclear or misleading and maybe 200 where I just read it wrong.

    Hello

    As I said on your other thread:

    In order to write in the shared directory/documents, your application should request action "access_shared" and it must be granted by the user. Make sure you have

    access_shared

    in your bar - descriptor.xml.

    Also note that the shared documents folder may not be the best place to write the application log data. There is one connects / in the sandbox to this effect, or the application directory data / directory if the information should be persisted. The documents/shared/folder is designed for documents that the user creates or interacts with.

    Hello

    Drag and drop the same attribute (which you dragged as selectBooleanRadio) as output text. Auto could present on selectBooleanRadio and partial relaxation on the output text. So as soon as you select value selected corresponding radio button, we see in the output text.

    Use this value to output text to show or hide the Panel header (use Visible instead of rendering).

  • camera disk (how to display disk on the computer images)

    How can I get pictures on my computer from my camera drive

    A lot of cameras works differently.  Some can be downloaded by linking a USB cable to the camera and then Windows Explorer to view and move the files (the camera should appear as a separate on the system drive).  Some require that you remove the disk from the camera and insert it into a drive that can accommodate everything first and then follow the same steps, once it appears (it must also propose as a different drive letter).  Other than that, the procedure is the same as moving or copying all other files (hold down the CTRL key and select the files you want to move, and then press CTRL-X to cut or Ctrl + C to copy - move to where you want and then press Ctrl + V to paste).

    If this does not help, please transfer your question in images and videos Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistapictures/threads where people who speciallize in picture issues (such as unable to download pictures from a camera disk) will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  Please include any troubleshooting steps you have already tried to get the best possible service.

  • How to display all of the text in ListField

    I have a liftfield displaying messages long, but for some reason they get any shorter. For example, if the message is 'This is my example message.', the Simulator displays: "this is...". ».

    Is there a way to make sure the entire message is displayed?

    Thanks in advance!

    Frankly, you don't need as many pointers. Take a look at the Graphics class and start thinking about what you want to draw and what positions. There are several methods of drawText in there - read descriptions and choose the ones you need. A little advice - adjust your font size before drawing if you see that the text does not.

    Here is a (very incomplete) list the things that you may need:

    Graphics.setFont / Graphics.getFont

    Graphics.drawText

    Graphics.setColor / Graphics.getColor

    Police .getHeight

    Font.getAdvance

    Font.DERIVE

    Read the documentation and try to see how it all works together.

    Also search the ListField forum and/or drawListRow - you're bound to find a lot of good pointers.

  • How to display data from the emp table?

    Hi everyone, this is my first post in this portal. I want to display the details of the table emp... for this I use this SQL statement.

    Select * from emp where mgr = nvl(:mgr,mgr);

    When I give the entry as 7698 it shows the matching records... and also when I don't give any input then it shows all the records except the Archbishop with null values.

    (1) I want to display all the records when I do not give any input, including null values
    (2) I want to display all the records that a Bishop is null

    Is it possible to integrate in order to include all these in a single query.

    It's a little unsure what you're asking.
    The following query always includes the lines where mgr is NULL and when the binding variable: mgr is NULL, it displays all the lines:

    SELECT  *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     LNNVL (mgr != :mgr)
    ;

    In other words, when: 7698 = mgr, it displays 6 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 14 rows (assuming you are using the table provided by Oracle scott.emp).

    The following query includes lines where Bishop is ZERO only when the binding variable: mgr is NULL, in which case it shows all lines:

    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     :mgr     = mgr
    OR       :mgr       IS NULL
    ;

    When: mgr = 7698, this will display 5 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 14 rows.

    The following query includes lines where Bishop is ZERO only when the link variab; e: mgr is NULL, in which case it shows only those rows where mgr is NULL. In other words, it treats NULL as a value:

    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     DECODE ( mgr
                , :mgr, 'OK'
                )     = 'OK'
    ;

    When: mgr = 7698, this will display 5 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 1 row.

  • How to display images in the Lightbox popup window or click the link to the map image Dreamweaver?

    I've built several image maps on a base image I want to use to display different pictures. I used successfully of Lightbox to display individual text pictures or thumbnails, but don't know how to make this work of image maps in Dreamweaver 8 and cannot even change the Dreamweaver onmouseover command coded so that it works from an action to click instead of a passage from the mouse that ridiculously open a popup window each time it is a passage of the mouse the map image.

    OnMouseClick nor onclickonly allow me to change the action that I would really rather have open in the viewer anyway.

    Here's what Dreamweaver is scripted for me (with a few small jacking to run):

    < area onclick = "CSAction (new Array(/*CMP*/'sp01')); "return CSClickReturn()' shape ="circle"coords ="552,439,9"href =" # "rel ="lightbox [kitchen]"title =" "alt =" "onclick =" MM_openBrWindow (' I / 01.jpg ', ", 'resizable = yes, width = 667, height = 505') ' csclick ="sp01"/ >"

    And here's what I usually script Lightbox text or thumbnail image link, but do not know how combine this with Dreamweaver image map code to make it work:

    "< a href ="... /... /.. "/ I/image.jpg" rel = "lightbox [kitchen]" title = "Title" > link text (or tile) < /a >

    I can see your problems, so I changed the image with your arrows and put some fotos below them in the lightbox you want:
