How to export GPS data to new tracklog?

Just updated to win LR4.1 and work on the GPS functions.

It's just cool GPS tracklog import, but really miss me a GPS data export!

I would be really grateful to have the opportunity to score a few images and export a list of tracks of this information to the file. Any idea?

Thanks in advance!

-) Ron

If you place an image on the map, the GPS coordinates since the location are added to the file. Copies of the file exported will also have this embedded in the metadata.

A Tracklog contains informaiton on date and place, and use this information with a set of files can trace where the photos were taken. But it is not a method for boning a Tracklog, even looking at location data and time on a set of files and to connect the dots.

    # Your only solution is to use a third party utility like ExifTool to erase data GPS or GeoSetter to correct it, and then collated the metadata. Be sure to save metadata before you do, to make sure that your files are synchronized with your Lightroom Catalog.

  • How to export iPhoto album to the new library

    Mac Mini 10.11.3

    iPhoto 9.6.1

I wrote a few minutes ago, but not sure that he knew.

I am trying to create multiple iPhoto libraries.  No problem with doing this.  Question is how to export iPhoto albums to new libraries.  I just want to drag an album on but it does not work.   I tried to import but can not find albums.  Not sure if I can find events either.  Tried but they do not load.  I tried export from iPhoto, but new library saved on the desktop is shaded on.

What are the steps to move albums or events to the new library?

    Thank you very much

    Tzipora

iPhoto does not support to move books between libraries.  You can select all photos in an album and export them to a file, and then import the folder with pictures to the library.

Or buy iPhoto Library Manager. It supports the moving parts between iPhoto libraries more easily.

You can download a free trial here: Fat Cat Software

But you need the full version and paid to move items between libraries.

  • How to save pictures of Photos in the form of files without losing the GPS data?

Can someone advice me in the following cases:

I want to erase my Photos from iPhone and iMac. Before that, I wish I had pictures of my library of Photos saved as a regular directory with files. As Windows does, for example.

Just export them (File menu) in unmodified versions.

  • How to display a XMP file GPS data?

I'm in Aperture 3 to Lightroom 3 conversion and I met a problem when the pictures are imported into LR3, they do not show the GPS Latitude and Longitude.

    My workflow has been:

1 al ' opening geocoded pictures of "Places".

    2. in the opening to write metadata in an XMP sidecar files.

    3. import in Lightroom 3, a folder of images. (A folder for each year, I shot).

    4. look at the LR 3 'Exif and IPTC' Panel and visit the Exif section, but can't see all the fields for GPS Latitude and Longitude GPS.

When I manually look in an XMP file with a text editor, I see that the GPS data in the file.

Then "...". for re - import the jpg files (which certainly had contacts) in a new Aperture library. "Why not import these into LR?

It was almost like one of the ideas I had in reserve - that is to say have you tried to export the images JPEG of Aperture as Versions? In my opinion, who will write the GPS in the new format of JPEG. Now, who will also Cook Aperture adjustments in these JPEG files, so the trick would be to remove all the opening adjustments first, making the exported versions will be identical to the originals. See where I'm going? Once the GPS in LR, you can simply put the original JPEG images in the same folders as these versions and trick Lightroom.

You can also take a look at HoudahGeo. He has some kind of integration with opening and may be able to do the writing.

Another thought could be writing scripts - you use Aperture and AppleScript to automate Exiftool, for example. But this isn't for everyone.

  • Numbers - how to import external data to a cell in a single file into a new cell in another file?

Numbers - how to import external data to a cell in a single file into a new cell in another file?

I want to do the same thing in numbers (3.6.2 (2577) I used to do in Excel (any version):)

to import a calculation of a cell in a file in a new cell in another file.

Example: I want to import the result of a sum in a specific cell of my accountant in August to a cell in comparison in my accounting of September.

It was so easy in Excel. Until the reference computer broke down.

By the numbers, I tried to copy - paste the contents of the cell formulated, but not good.

No help manual online or anywhere. I think that maybe the function is absent in number.

Then I return to MicroSoft Excel, that I have used for many years and I am sorry to say feel much more wysiwyg.

Formulas in a numbers document cannot reference cells in other documents of numbers.

"Much more wysiwyg" is another way to express what many of those who "used (MS Excel) for many years" expressed as "more intuitive. These two descriptions usually boil up to ' what I'm used to, ", which is also true in the other sense.

Whatever the real explanation, the standard advice is "the tool that will do the job." If "the job" requires referencing values in a separate document, the numbers (alone and without the help of AppleScript) are not the best tool for this job.

    Kind regards

  • How to force the Photos up-to-date original jpeg file after you have added the GPS data and rotation

    Hello

Pictures has the ability to add GPS data to an image file, but stores the GPS data in a catalog instead of the actual image file.  The same seems to apply to the rotation of the image.  Is there a way to force the Photos up-to-date the actual image file?

The only solution I have found so far is to export images updated, remove them from the library of Photos and re - import.  This process, however, replaces the original creation date with the date of the export in the file.  (i.e. a photo taken in 2007 with a creation date of 2007 will now have the date it has been exported photos as a creation date.)

The reason why I want to update the original file, it is that I use Google Photos automatically create albums using the content of the image, the GPS data and dates.  The backup utility Google downloads the file Master Original therefore excludes files and changes to images in the photos.

    I use the photo Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

    Thank you.

The same seems to apply to the rotation of the image.  Is there a way to force the Photos up-to-date the actual image file?

No, Photos will never alter the original image file.

You can export the photo with the GPS and reimport with file > export and activate "include location information:

Or use a tool to add location data before importing photos to Photos. I use Jetphoto Studio.

Personal Verizon has me download pictures from my old cell phone on my laptop.  How now EXPORT from my laptop to my new phone and my Tablet?

This is largely dependent on what kind of new phone or tablet you have.

An alternative could be to put the files in Microsoft OneDrive (online free player to store your files from Microsoft).  Then add the OneDrive app on your phone and Tablet so you can download the files.

If you want to use more, OneDrive also has the ability to automatically add the photos you take on your phone in your folder OneDrive. If you have the OneDrive app on your portable computer, the photos you pull on your phone would immediately synchronize with your laptop, always.  Ideal for making them easy to reach and use and also a great backup Pack your phone breaks.  Good, end of announcement :)
