  Christmas sent me to see if I had something that might help :-)

  My understanding of your situation, it's that your computer has a file system corrupted, if you used the manufacturer's recovery process to recover your computer if you "out-of-the-box".  I also noticed that you mentioned that recovery has given you the option has not your personal files in a place called "my old file Structures."
