How to fix Windows 7 64 bit freezes on the sleep/hibernate?

My computer freezes constantly just before the sleep/hibernate or just after waking you. I had this experience with SP1 and without. Before you remove SP1, the HD will start to charge about 17 minutes to leave inactive. Almost exact to the minute, it will crash after 25 minutes to leave inactive.

After removing the SP1, the system will NOT crash before going to sleep. However, it will crash as soon as you wake up. Below is summary dumps of two representative falls.

6 GB DDR2 2400 (Micron Tech and Hynix Semiconductors)
ATI Radeon HD 3650
750 GB HD Samsung HD753LJ
OEM: Vista Ultimate x 64
Current (academic): Win7 Professional 64-bit
H/w bought November 2008
Operating system: any new installation

Programs:
In addition to Windows, I just installed Office, Chrome, Firefox. I have installed but removed ScanSnap of UBWALL scanning software, Windows Live, Windows Security Essentials

Devices:
No devices are attached

Tests already performed:
Memory tests (memtest86, memtest86 +, WIndows)-no error
Chkdsk/f/r (twice) - no error

I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

Updated - I deleted Windows 7 Pro and re-installed Vista Ultimate OEM. It works perfectly. This excludes any possibility of h/w issue.

I think to re - install Win 7 Pro and see if the error. Any ideas/suggestions?

Hello I have a Dell Dimension 5150 (64-bit) with 2 GB of RAM. I installed Windows 7 64 bit and it worked very well. Now, I have updated the memory and equip 4x2gb bars of memory. • How to uninstall Windows 7 32 bit or get the clean install of Windows 7 64 bit to work properly.

Today, I bought and installed windows 7 32 bit as an upgrade from vista 32-bit, shortly after I spoke to my friend and he told me that I could have used the disk for 64-bit and Windows 7 64 bit instead, the problem now is that I can't find a way to remove windows 7 32 bits using other methods I've seen here as the file Windows.old, it isn't here. Also I cannot perform a clean Windows 7 32-bit to windows 7 64 bit installation because when I insert the disk it says that I need to boot from the disk, so I tried then whenever he says failed to load. IM fine with doing a clean install and losing what I have, because I have them the settings and files saved externally already so no need to save again.

    Thank you very much

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally

get new manually if you wish.

  • How to make Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit without the new windows installation 7

32-bit to 64-bit without the new windows installation 7

Moving from 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7 always requires an own (custom) installation of Windows 7.

Since this is a clean install of Windows it takes you will need to backup your personal data (documents, pictures, music, etc. on a separate drive). You should also make sure that you have installation media, and product keys available to reinstall your programs.

Most, but not all Windows 7 32-bit programs will be running on Windows 7 64 bit. Check the support of publishers of program site compatibility.

32-bit and 64-bit drivers are not interchangeable. You should make sure that your hardware has drivers 64-bit available.

    For more information. Please see:

Windows 7 64 bit, cannot install the driver for bluetooth devices for my Motorola Droid Razr periferical. When troubleshooting try to apply the fix, after trying, it ends with a message this problem "not set"...

Go in Device Manager for each item under the heading Bluetooth with an asterisk, double-click it. Click the tab drivers, then put to update driver. Browse my computer..., let me pick from a list... Under manufacturer, select "Microsoft Corporation". Under model, click on "Windows Mobile-based device support", and then click Next. Click 'YES' in the driver warning window. Windows will now update the driver, and he will tell you, he did it with success!

  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or gets stuck

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or crashes on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load with six green bars moving through bar. It will start in safe mode. I ran the auto repair (recommended) when starting after being forced to stop. After it says its full it restarts and remains stuck on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load bar with six green bars that cross so I force disable it again.

I had no problem with this computer, he got in last seven. It was working fine yesterday and then the without wire came out, so I restarted the computer to find the connection again as I had done several times before. That's when it froze on the opening of session and password screen. Who started this cycle of freezing or stuck on the black screen with the loading bar permanently running.

    UPDATE:
Start safe mode then made the instructions on the clean boot. Not checked, all iteams he says and rebooted and it worked. So I went to the next step to select only half to refine the list. Restarted and when at the loading screen for a little over 30 sec - 1 min (which is more short than the time it took to work initially after the first stage of the boot with all unchecked), but it goes to a completely black screen that has not happened before. So now, a little lost, or do I have to keep trying to refine?

    Hi Greg,.

It will not harm the computer to run it in a boot environment.  Some programs do not work properly because they were probably responsible for their own services and rely on them to work.  You have disabled all non-Microsoft services, and things like printers and software can be difficult.

Click Start, then options type power and press ENTER.  Let us make sure that the system is not configured to sleep.  Go ahead and put the power plan to High Performance, then click on change Plan settings below.  There will be a framework for "put the computer to sleep".  The value than ever.

If it continues to turn black in clean boot mode, you may have a hardware problem.  One thing you could do if it's a desktop system and really need to use it now, it is the lid of the machine and aim a fan in the box.  This will help if it is overheating.

Please complete the steps to diagnose the problem with the boot when you have the chance.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.
