  You are using LabVIEW to generate the waveform or using the Soft front panels? In LabVIEW, you can use the express VI generator function and specify the Type as "Sine". Then, simply change the amplitude of the sine wave. During the actual pulse, the amplitude would be what you want (i.e. 1 V) and while the pulse is idle, set the amplitude to 0.

  

  If you use the soft front panels, you can use the Waveform Editor to create a waveform that includes a sine wave for the length of your pulse and then the values of '0' for the rest of the time. Then use this waveform in the flexible front of the arbitrary signal generator. Simply create a component of sine as the first part of the wave and then add another element to a level DC '0' for the rest.

  I have a digital output pci card 6534 and an analog output pci card 6723.

  I would like to generate a material long pulse sequence timed. The 6534 has 32 MB memory on board, so it is good to do a long sequence. The 6723 will run out of memory if started at the same time. I would therefore trigger the 6723 at a later date. The boards are connected with rtsi.

  I see 3 ways to do (well that I know how to do, but the first two would be more elegant):

  (1) generate a sequence of digital pulses on ports (i.e. how that), then convert a line of port online rtsi (don't know how to)?

  (2) generate a trigger to the arbitrary point on the rtsi lines (don't know how to)?

  Go 3) with 1) physically connecting a port to a line PFI on the analog card.

  I have not found a way to send a trigger at some arbitrary point with the RTSI. Instead of this I went with solution 3) and related digital outputs analog card PFI channels.

  I'm trying to configure my vi to calculate the average, as the data are read by the computer. I tried storing the data in a table, then using the statistics option to calculate the average of arithmentic without success. I have the vi, set up for the output data, as we read on the screen. It seems that the table is not store data, instead, I get the same value of the average with respect to the data.

  You not save the data in a table. You convert the scalar you get from the pulse function in a table 1 d with a single element. You do also very confusing and complicated way. All these conversions of/Dynamics/1 d/2D/Dynamics/1 d are all simply ridiculous. Whenever the loop goes through, get you a whole new table 1 d with a single element. For good build a table, you would need a change of registry with a function of table building connected to it. You can also use the PtByPt function mean cable directly to the exit of scalar measures pulse.

  I do a series of window dubs. (Multiple clips on a unique timeline with time code displayed in a third window below).

  I can use the timecode generator to make the said window.  And, of course, when you drag the timecode on the timeline generator, it reads TC according to chronology (which of course can be adjusted, offset, etc.)

  However, I want to TC to read what generated the source. (Time of day) I have several clips to add window TC, and I want to put on a single export schedule.

  So, I opened each clip inside of the timeline (from Explorer) and added the TC generator. This works. The window, in fact, read the source (time-of-day) TC. All good except that...

  When I start to drag my clips to a new timeline (to put in a continuous sequence), the TC generator GOES to the project TC (starting with zero). I even tried to compound each clip inside the timeline... same result.

  How can Q: I ask various clips in a timeline, with EACH clip display the timecode according to its source? (NOTE: the TC compensation project does not work, because each clip on the timeline has a new beginning TC, depending on the time of day.)

  Hi Andrew, I found problem in double buffering when using the buffer of size less than 16384 (32768/2). Why? I don't know... also beyong 1,25,000 "stack overflow" error was coming. Anyway, I dropped the idea of using double buffering. Now I use generation of waveform buffer alone without the help of NIDAQMakeBuffer. Instead, I create the buffer myself having data points of variable frequency to set the number of cycles. as demand for time-duration of profile waveform must be generated is limited to 50 seconds, and I use the rate constant update of 1000 samples per second, buffer size if necessary not creating any problems so far (for now).   When you write a channel timestamp in a PDM file, tiara automatically identifies it as a weather channel. So when you export the right data, you will get good results ;-).

  To illustrate this, I wrote an example VI: it creates two TDMS files with random timestamps and displays then the two files into a single report of DIAdem. I hope that you find it useful.

  You use RTF or PDF or page Template Builder (XPT) layouts to generate PDFS.

  The LOV to find output formats by modifying the report and selecting a list.

  The table has a column to the output formats, it is controlled by the format of the presentation that you have built.
