  It covers everything you have done - but you should be able to add the rest. The reason why your doesn't not work resulted from the property "Name" is not not in the Summary.Hardware object. You need a method such as this that references the object for the property Name USER.USER - addresses of the Summary.Hardware for the other elements you requested.

  I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, I develop software to support VMWare PCoIP and need to know how to get the host name of the physical machine (which manages the virtual machine and View Client) within a virtual machine before the user logs in Windows of the virtual machine.

  I understand there are two ways to read the host name, via the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment registry and environment variables, but they are available once the user is connected. I need info before the user connects.

  Is there a VMware API that can be called or asked the host name?

  Note that these executed when a virtual desktop computer allocated connection, not to the point that the client connects - it is possible for the customer to not complete the connection (crash, cancel, network failure) and so any what solution you design must handle this.

  Not all applications supported by ExtensionBuilder have HBAPI

  supports, if you see HostObject isn't available, most likely the host

  App does not support that, we will work with the product team to add

  This support in the future.

  In the case of obtaining the hostname, you can use the API CSXS

  getHostEnvironment() to retrieve it.  See the CSExtBasics

  AppModel.computeHostName for the sample code on how to do it.

• How to get the creative cloud to 'see' the apps installed by Creative Cloud Packager

  Hello

  We are migrating to the creative Cloud and found how to avoid downloading and installing each machine separately - Creative Cloud Packager.

  We did a test install and while creative cloud Packer worked great, we noticed creative cloud app acknowledges that one of the applications installed by Creative Cloud Packer are actually installed - we find just as the applications listed with big buttons next to them. It probably means that we can run the updates for these applications either?

  We can launch and use the applications so obviously that creative cloud is to see licenses, but how do get us Creative cloud to recognize that the apps are installed?

  Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

• HP MSA2324i, new volume / LUN added, cannot be seen by the host ESX 4.1 (fine old LUN work)

  I have a vSphere Essentials Plus 4.1 cluster that is connected to 2 x bays HP MSA2324i SAN, we have 2 x hosts and both can see current volumes / LUNS absolutely perfect (vMotion and migration of VM offline all work as expected). I'm starting a consolidation project virtual disks / volume of the San 2 x, however a new volume I created on a network SAN cannot be seen by the other host.

  The new volume has been implemented exactly like the others, but of course with a unique logic for mapping unit number explicit, but when scanning the iSCSI HBA the new LUN is never found :-(

  I was wondering if others have had also this happens to them and know why this may be implemented?.

  (This is a company that I joined, it's my third week, and that they had also no VMware subscription on their reunification since 2012, otherwise I would be to connect a call to technical support of VMware, by train to get the sub upwards and running)

  OK I think that might be the cause, I came across this recently maximum LUN ID is 255, change the logic unit to a number smaller than 255 ID number and try again, let us know how you go!

  Assuming that fnd_profile.value is a function, you must select from the something (say double) or assign to a variable.

  Sorry, I don't have any samples.

  However, if you look at the layoutEx of the managed object VirtualMachine field, you will see that the VirtualMachineFileLayoutEx data object has a field "files" which should contain the paths of affected files.
