How to hide a column in OBIEE 11 g

Hello

I'm trying to hide a column of the dashboard layer presantation of the OBIEE 11 g. But it does not work.

I do the following.

Open the column permissions tab.
Had no access to everyone.
Didn't give no access to the user/Application role.

When I go on the web, the column appears in the list of tables. But, when I select the column and press the result, is not the outcome.

This means, by following the steps above, it is restricting the data but the visibility of the column is already there.

Same way as it works for OBIEE 10 g. Could if it you please let me know this feature has been removed from 11g or if she is still there then how we can reach that.

Thanks in advance
Niraj

  • How to hide a column in a RTF based XML output

    I have a XML output that has a column called STATE of a "REJECTED" or "PROCESSED"

    I have another column called REJECT_DESC. This is null when the State is PROCESSED and it fits the description of rejection if the status of this line is REJECTED.

    In a RTF I want to show if the value of REJECT_DESC if the line has a status of "REJECTED".

    How can I show only this column when she is rejected?

    I have the group by the State, so the report separates the lines... but how to hide the column? I don't want a column null

    Thank you

    I think that the STATUS will be same in the XML data, and you have two lines in your table. A line for all the column headings and another line for repeating group for these column values. So you can simply keep,

    Reject the Description //row1 the title of column
    row2 column values

    I created the table of the ADF and surround it in the collection of panels, the data in the table from the bean to support variable. However the user to the table always have the ability to display the column. Is there any one to hide the column with the user at all times. Fixing the code example:

    No out-of-the-box, but there are several workaround solutions if you want to continue an any of them:

    (1) use a view selector. A single report will be a pivot table with the column, the other will have the same report less column. Users can switch reports.

    (2) use a column selector. The two choices would be this column or an empty space. If white is chosen (because the user has no values), the column "will disappear" according to the report.

    (3) guided use NAV. This method involves the intervention of the user. Build a small report using the single column and put a filter "is not equal to" 0. Because there is only a single column, so all lines are 0, the report returns no rows.

    Use this report in the properties of guided navigation from one section of the dashboard. Assign to this "If the report returns lines" and put the report that contains the column in this section. Now add another article on your table edge and in the properties of guided navigation of this section, set on "If the report will return no rows" and it points to the small report as well. In this section, put a second version of your report without the column in it.

    When the column contains all zeros, the second section with column will not display in it; the first section is not displayed. When at least a line contains a value not zero, the first section is displayed with the column, and the second part will not be.

  • How show/hide a column of link in a report, according to another column?

    Hello!.
    I have an interactive report. A column is a link to another form, but I need to hide/show or enable/disable the link on some lines by a pl/sql function that require values of field of the current line.

    I can use the standard conditional visualization on the column, but I do not know how do refers to the value of the column in the body of pl/sql affection.

    The page number is 32.
    Normally, this could be ": p32_id_indicencia" in the code pl/sql, but now the page is an interactive record, without elements, there is no such thing as p32_id_incidencia.
    : id_incidencia and #id_incidencia # does not work.

    Sorry for my English, and I hope that I explained...
    Thanks in advance.

    Well, you can just change the "Link" text with "Edit", or whatever image you use in your link to column generated by the wizard. The link to the image in the column binding attributes when you create a. Just copy it. And instead of

    else
    null

    put

    else
    'Edit'

    and it should work fine.

    Hello

    I would prefer that users who click on the link I send do not see the right column of document's summary information. Can I hide it? It is in order of appearance, no secret.

    Unfortunately, there is no way for you, the sender, to remove this default. I will submit your request to the product team.

    There is a way for the recipient to hide the right panel. Simply click on this button:

  • How to hide the layer of OBIEE map

    Hello

    We have created 2 topics, 1 Base map (BM1; with these 2 themes) and 1 Tiler (TL1; with Base map BM1) in the card writer and recorded layers and the background map in OBIEE.

    Theme1: Country (style: C.WOM_SEE_THROUGH)

    Theme2: Inventories (style: M.SMALL_CIRCLE)

    Then, creates a dashboard on this map.

    It is, then that launched in dashboard both countries and inventories appear, although different zoom_level is selected for 2 layers and the map seems clumsy.

    We would like, the launch that should show only the country while we zoom to layer of inventories, these markers should appear, and so on if we add more layers; as it is generally in the cards we get on the internet.

    Help, please.

    Kind regards.

    BTW, if the problem is that the theme of the inventories is included at the bottom of map (BM1) then the solution is to do the following:

    -Remove the theme of the substantive definition of map using MapBuilder or by changing the CLOB in the database. Save it.

    -Remove all tiles for TL1 tilelayer that uses the bottom of BM1 updated map. Do this from the admin console mapviewer manage page of layers of tile or removing all the subdirectories under the tile cache store on the server where WLS/BI/MapViewer are deployed.

    -Restart mapviewer or to all least purge the cache metadata for the source of relevant data from the datasources mapviewer admin console page.

    -Overview of the tilelayer, in mapviewer administration console manage tile layers page to check that the theme of the inventories is increasingly part of the background sheet.

    -Test the card/analysis in OBIEE

  • How the XML element used in RTF PUBLIC/PRIVATE? I know how to hide columns in RTF, but do not know how to generate xml below way. Help, please.

    Hello

    I'm following link below to show/hide my columns dynamically. See "formatting of column.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E12844_01/doc/BIP.1013/e12187.PDF

    According to the doc element can be made in private/public.

    <items type="PUBLIC">
     <item>
      <name>Plasma TV</name>
      <quantity>10</quantity>
      <price>4000</price>
     </item>
     <item>

    And even can be used to hide the column with the help of State

    <?if@column:/items/@type="PUBLIC"?>

    MY QUESTION IS HOW TO DO THIS IN MY XML BELOW?

    Here's the part of my XML code that I use in the definition of the data to RTF.

    <group name="GH3" source="QH3">
    <element name="COLUMN_HEAD3" value="COLUMN_NAME" />
    </group>

    <LIST_GH3>

    <LIST_GH4>
    <GH4>
    <COLUMN_HEAD4>XYZ</COLUMN_HEAD4>
    </GH4>
    </LIST_GH4>

    In order to use the logic according to the oracle document I want output like this.

    <LIST_GH3 type="PUBLIC">
    <GH3>
    <COLUMN_HEAD3>REBILL_TO_OTHER_BUSINESS_UNIT</COLUMN_HEAD3>
    </GH3>

    <COLUMN_HEAD4>BLANK</COLUMN_HEAD4>
    </GH4>
    </LIST_GH4>

    Should what changes I make in my XML to get the result of the execution as above? Help, please. Where should I make changes in the XML above? Name of the Group? Name of the element?

    I intend to use it under condition in RTF model to hide the column, but do not know how to set the column as PRIVATE/PUBLIC type in the XML output that is used to populate the data in the RTF while running.

    <?if@column:/BTSPIEXP/LIST_GH3/@type=”PUBLIC”?>COLUMN_HEAD3<?end if?>

  • How show only last row value in a column of OBIEE

    How show only last row value in a column of OBIEE

    Thank you
    V

    Hello
    Pull column criteria, which you want to display only last row. Filter Advanced sql apply now to this column as a.
    RCOMPTE ("customer D1". "C1 Cust Name") = MAX (RCOMPTE ("customer D1". " Cust C1 Cust Name name')) here is the column where I applied the filter.
    So, it gives only last row in the name column of the Cust.
