How to hide filters in a dashboard report?

I have a dashboard with a report inside. By default, the report filters are displayed at the bottom of the report in the dashboard. How to hide filters?

Hello!

If it's a standard dashboard, you can't change it, but only copy and modify the copy.
If it is customized, you can proceed to step 2 of the State displayed in the dashboard and remove the view named "active filters.

I hope this will help, do not hesitate to ask for more!

No out-of-the-box, but there are several workaround solutions if you want to continue an any of them:

    (1) use a view selector. A single report will be a pivot table with the column, the other will have the same report less column. Users can switch reports.

    (2) use a column selector. The two choices would be this column or an empty space. If white is chosen (because the user has no values), the column "will disappear" according to the report.

    (3) guided use NAV. This method involves the intervention of the user. Build a small report using the single column and put a filter "is not equal to" 0. Because there is only a single column, so all lines are 0, the report returns no rows.

Use this report in the properties of guided navigation from one section of the dashboard. Assign to this "If the report returns lines" and put the report that contains the column in this section. Now add another article on your table edge and in the properties of guided navigation of this section, set on "If the report will return no rows" and it points to the small report as well. In this section, put a second version of your report without the column in it.

When the column contains all zeros, the second section with column will not display in it; the first section is not displayed. When at least a line contains a value not zero, the first section is displayed with the column, and the second part will not be.

  • In a dashboard may not an existing rpt be pre filtered by an another report?

    Hi all
    New to BI.
So here's what I want to do.
In a dashboard, an existing report can be the pre filtered by another report that its bound form?
Here is an example of something similar to what I'm trying to achieve:
-J' have an existing dashboard report that gives a user a list of values, say year and prompts the user to choose one.
-The report then asked which Department for this year here.
-According to the Department that they choose and year produces a graph for all statistics collected for each month of this year for this Ministry.
All simple so far and it works.

The 'problem' is now there are areas which fall within departments.
So no, we want pre filter the reports with a selection of the region so that the user sees that the departments of the selected region.

Now we have reports a little and is 1 of many meanings and I suppose we could return renovation region in all reports.

But my question is, if we could create a filter that we run and present on the dashboard above all existing reports?

    reuse the example above:
-New item of dashboard which requires the region. Region is defined.
-The existing report gives a user a list of values, say year and prompts the user to choose one.
-The report then asked which Department for the year - but this time shows departments belonging to the region such as selected above.
-According to the Department that they choose and year produces a graph for all statistics collected for each month of this year for this Ministry.

Anyone got advice if this is possible and advice on where to start and how to go on this subject?

Hope I understand. Make the guest of the region 'field of dashboard' and assign a Variable presentation as pv_Region. Then in all your applications, make sure you have a filter region equal to the presentation variable 'pv_Region '. Once the selection has been made, all of your reports will be automatically filtered by the selected region.

    Hello
Is these reports are prepared on 11g or migrated from the previous version.

In any case, to test it, - create a report from scratch on 11 g and run it, also check the footer to all the lines on the subject.
I hope that you can identify the question to redo the thing for testing

    Good luck

  • How to export Excel dashboard reports in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0?

    Hi Experts,

How to export Excel dashboard reports in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0?
    For example:
Dashboard contains more than one report and add an export button for downloading these reports to Excel.

Is it possible to implement this requirement? Thank you.

There is no direct option, you can try the following workaround.

    Option-> Print-> page printable Html

Then the file-> Save Page as

Pharmasset Save as type as it is-> all files
    File name as Report.xls

When you open the xls file, if you get a pop up saying problem during a load simply omit it and move forward.
    The report opens in excel.

Or save the page as html /mht and open it with Excel, it works too.

Note: I tested this in Mozilla

    Hello

This "menu" is called Developer toolbar.
It is visible only when you login to APEX Builder and run your application.
So it won't be visible to end users.

    Thank you

Well Yes, I had this problem once - it happened only in some browsers.

I do not think that I solved it with great elegance, only by obscurity

    NVL2 (my_value, ' / i/blank.gif ',' / arrow_down.gif/i ')

then set the target page as a result.

In theory, I think you could add an id to those you want to hide, and then run some jquery to hide all items.

  • How will I know where all the reports of users has access

    Hi gurus,

We use the Hyperion Financial Reporting 9.3.1 & we have 80 reports & 750 users. How will I know where all the reports of users has access. Where can I find this information. I checked the SSP, it only shows the provisioing details, but not the name of the report. I also checked the Essbase.sec but no use. Where can I get the info. Kindly help me.

    Kind regards
    Kris...

There is no tool of Hyperion to display easily groups and security filters.

But it really depends on how you set up your security model.

Normally, you add users into groups and assign these groups to essbase and reports (via the BEEP groups) cubes, so you can check reports have access to correct group and the users are in a good group.

There is a security tool to export available here, hosted by Applied Olap, and underground work Olap-based:

  • How to hide a view in the Layout Compound

    Hi all

I've created an OBIEE report and also I had included the LogicalSQL view in the layout of the compound. Now I want to hide+ only the logical SQL view is displayed.

Entries how to hide the view logic SQL would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    S

    Oh yes, you are right!

    Hi again.

This script that I wrote to you in reality hid the SQL logic. Here is what it does

    1) pass through and save SQL logic in a table
    (2) hide the logical SQL view
    (3) loop through the array and display the contents.

All you need to do is remove the final loop (step 3) and it will not display the SQL logic.

    -What you hope to do?

  • How to hide a column in a RTF based XML output

I have a XML output that has a column called STATE of a "REJECTED" or "PROCESSED"

I have another column called REJECT_DESC. This is null when the State is PROCESSED and it fits the description of rejection if the status of this line is REJECTED.

In a RTF I want to show if the value of REJECT_DESC if the line has a status of "REJECTED".

How can I show only this column when she is rejected?

I have the group by the State, so the report separates the lines... but how to hide the column? I don't want a column null

    Thank you

I think that the STATUS will be same in the XML data, and you have two lines in your table. A line for all the column headings and another line for repeating group for these column values. So you can simply keep,

Reject the Description //row1 the title of column
    row2 column values
