  However, before doing so, I noticed that the address bar of the popup window was now floating as usual.

  I'll keep an eye on it in case it stops again, but for chalk now it up to the stupidity of the user.

  As I said, what I'm trying to do is to hide the window, not close. It works on most systems, like mine (Windows 7). But this doesn't seem to work on some systems (in detail on 1 Windows XP, Unix 2 and 1 Mac system).

  Add below eventListener in the creationComplete of your main application...

  nativeWindow.addEventListener (Event.CLOSING, callClosing);

  Note the above event is Event.CLOSING but not Event.CLOSE...

  Event.CLOSING is called before that when the window is about to close... but Event.CLOSE is dispatcher just when he is about to close...

  and your close function should now look like to... as below:

  So, if I were you I would not select "Updates."... "in an Adobe application unless the " Adobe Application Manager " is closed until they fix IT...

  You can not hide, but the orange lines at the bottom of the clips in the media pane show what parts of clips have been used in the scenario, if you can easily avoid reuse them if that's what you want to do.  The purple lines at the top of some parts of some clips show moved excessive (which cannot be stabilized).
