How to insert record empty in the table?

I guess I need to insert a blank record in my table to troubleshoot issues below, but don't know how to do.

I have a function below that is part of two selects the associated component. My first problem is if no data is passed to the argument, select field that is bound to the function is very small (I like to have a default width). Adding a 'width' will not work.

Second, if there is data passed to the argument (in Arguments.accountID, I would like to have a clean record inserted at the top of the results of the selection list. So in summary, if no data is transmitted to the argument, select the field is very weak. If the data are transmitted to the argument, the selection list is filled, but I need to have an empty folder (option) at the top of the selection list.

The code for the function shown below:

< cffunction = 'getUsers' access returnType = name 'remotely' 'array' = >
< name cfargument = "accountID" type = "string" required = "yes" >
<!--> set variables
< cfset var data = "" >
< cfset var result = ArrayNew (2) >
< cfset var i = 0 >
< cfset data1 = oSF.QueryObject("select_ID,_name,_Email,_ACCOUNTID__C_from_User").results >

< cfquery dbtype = "query" name = "data" >
SELECT ID, NAME, ACCOUNTID__C
OF DATA1
WHERE ACCOUNTID__C = ' #arguments.accountID # '.
< / cfquery >

<!--> results converting it into table
< cfloop index = "i" = "1" to = "#data.recordcount #" >
< cfset result [1] = data user.user>
< cfset result [2] = data .name>
< / cfloop >
<!- and return it - >
< cfreturn result >
< / cffunction >

< b > Code to select list: < /b >

< name cfselect = 'Contacts'
ToolTip bind = "SWC:getPartners.GetUsers({Mediaid})" = "select the partner Rep' onError =" ""
Width = "50" / >

Change this:

SELECT ID, NAME, ACCOUNTID__C
OF DATA1
WHERE ACCOUNTID__C = ' #arguments.accountID # '.

for this
Select distinct "id,"name", from accountid_c
of some_small_table
Union
SELECT ID, NAME, ACCOUNTID__C
OF DATA1
WHERE ACCOUNTID__C = ' #arguments.accountID # '.
order by id

If one of these fields is not text, use any function db is appropriate convert to string in the bottom half of the application

  • How to insert a row into the table from an entity class

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 using ADF.  I would like to insert a row in Table B, when A table is inserted into the database based on a value selected by the end user.  I could do in a database trigger, but I would try in the ADF. You don't have a F02 - F04 berries in your query.
    Even you, your insert statement do not have enough source columns.

    Ok. You can then use the external table. But I would not. Table ICET is an existing table? And you must add the data stored in the file c:\res.txt to the table? If so, the best way, in my humble OPINION, would be SQL * Loader. With the external table, you will need to create one and then do something like INSERT icet SELCT of external_table. Selecting in the outer table will read c:\res.txt and load it into a temporary table that will be then inserted in icet taable. With SQL * Loader file c:\res.txt will be loaded directly into the icet table.

  • How triggers can be created in the table?

    Hi all
    How triggers can be created in the table?
    is 12 or as far as we can?

    There is no technical limit to the number of triggers you set (or, at least, not one that any rational person has never touched). He usually would not make sense to have more than one trigger of a given type on a particular table, even if you can come up with situations where you can have multiple triggers of the same type on a single table.

    Normally, when people ask this question, it is because someone (foolishly) he asked in an interview. Frequently, the interviewer is trying to determine if you know how many types of triggers there is no if you know if there are some esoteric limit on the number of triggers.

  • How to get a list of the tables more fragmented in Oracle?

    Is there a SQL on how to get a list of the tables more fragmented in the Oracle DBMS?

    Update the statistics on the table and try this, you should see very fragmented tables upstairs with high wasted_space.

    select table_name,round((blocks*8),2) "size (kb)" ,
                                round((num_rows*avg_row_len/1024),2) "actual_data (kb)",
                                (round((blocks*8),2) - round((num_rows*avg_row_len/1024),2)) "wasted_space (kb)"
    from dba_tables
    where (round((blocks*8),2) > round((num_rows*avg_row_len/1024),2))
    order by 4 desc

    I changed the query a little because the ORDER BY will not work if we concat | ' Ko ' with the column because this makes the output a character column data.
    And added a WHERE condition to see that these tables where the total size is greater than the actual size of data.

    And then use the table in your code that you created at the beginning. The name is GLT.
    And delete the first commit. This validation would empty the temporary table of GLT.

  • How insert/DML data in the table when the data in the related table changes

    Hello guys!

    I came across a problem that I need to get fixed. Because I don't know how to start and get it resolved I wanted to ask you for your expertise.

    The scenario is as follows:

    I have a table 'a' in my 10g database and a view "ab" which combined table 'a' with 'b' table in a view. However, the 'b' table is a table in another schema Manager database. and accessible (read only right) via a database link.

    Now here it is: whenever the data changes in table "b", for example 2 new sets of data is inserted, I need to insert automatically the 2 values of these 2 sets of data in my table "a". Same procedure for update and delete in table "b".

    The action that inserts data into the table 'a' must be initialized in my database, I have limited access to the other. Can I somehow use a trigger my reviews of "ab" to insert data into the table "a"? Or is it possible to use the "change notification procedure database" using the view as the reference?

    Desperately need help and example of all suspicion/code greatly appreciated. I am very new to Oracle and not very fond of PL/SQL routines. So please be so kind as to give me more details.

    Thanks in advance - I hope you have any ideas how I can get this problem resolved.

    Sebastian

    >

    ... it does not, since the DDL operations are not permitted on the remote databases (ORA-02021). I can't create the trigger on a view either. :-(
    So what ways are left to insert data into the table 'a' when the related table changes?

    Please, help if you have an idea!

    Yes,
    You can't perform the DDL (create the trigger...) on remote databases as you can see...
    Try to create this trigger in the local database that will make DML (insert into...) on the remote database.

        CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER local_forward_pt_after_insert
         AFTER INSERT
             ON N2K_INV_PT
             FOR EACH ROW

         BEGIN
             -- Insert records into table "a"
             INSERT INTO TBL_PUNKTDATEN@remote_database_sid
              ( INT_NUMMER,
                STR_GEBIET
                 )
             VALUES
              ( :new.INT_INV_PT_NR,
                :new.GEBIET );
         END;

    Hello

    It seems that you do not use a variable in the statement "for each.

    Right now you have:

    for each item in BPMObject.group1...

    You can add a new instance variable called 'bpmObject' which is of the type "BPMObject". You must use this variable in the job call the interactive component fills the table of the group. Then, you would change your logic to reflect this change by making it to read:

    for each item in bpmObject.group1...

  • How to insert records into a table from a button?

    Hey,.

    I use Oracle form and I have a trigger button when button pressed.

    I have a project being given for one of my classes. Basically, I have a Customers table and they hit the news. When they press submit, it must insert it into the table.

    And here is the code I wrote to be inserted inside the button

    declare

    v_cust_id customer_detail.customer_id%type;

    v_f_name customer_detail.fname%type;

    v_l_name customer_detail.lname%type;

    v_destination customer_detail.destination%type;

    v_travel_date customer_detail.travel_date%type;

    v_address customer_detail.address%type;

    insert into customer_detail

    values (v_customer_id, v_fname, v_l_name, v_destination, v_travel_date, v_address, v_telephone);

    end;

    /

    But its gives me an error. Is a PLsql Oracle form different syntax?

    Why do you need to insert in the command, when applications oracle has this native features?

    Make a form based on the table and just use

    COMMIT_FORM; on your BUTTON.

    Hope this helps
