How to make a background blur realistic looking to show that behind a dialog box?

I'm prototyping a Flex in Fireworks CS4 application & have some pop up dialog boxes to display.  When they show the background should be blurred.  I know how to make them appear, but I can't get a nice blur effect that looks like the one you see in Flash.  I tried a transparent layer with different blur filters, but no aspect than realistic.  The information?

Just go to the filters section in the property inspector Panel, first select your object on the Web (for example, the bottom), then click on the [+] sign sign in Filters > a small menu opens, select blur > Gaussian blur and change the value (0 = zero blur, 4 or more = a lot of blur). Later, you can change or remove the effect, which is good.

I often use a Gaussian blur, especilly if I need make a blurry image...

I hope this will help you!

  • How to enable IPv6 in Windows 8 when it shows that it is enabled

    When I try to connect to my home group I get a message "your network connection must have active IPv6."  However, in the properties of my network it shows that it is enabled.  I disabled my Norton firewall & virus scan but that doesn't seem to be the problem.  I added the DisabledComponenets with the value set to 0 in the registry.  Still get the same message.

    Hello

    First remove what you did just in case it is incorrect.

    Your router and all the computers must be able to IPv6 (hardware, firmware, and drivers)
    to use a homegroup. Check the system Maker (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems)
    or the sites of manufacturers of real devices to update network drivers. Also check the router
    site of the manufacturer for firmware updated to date. Check their support and ask in their forums for everything
    known issues.

    These are for Windows 7 apply to Windows 8.

    Check the updates (especially network drivers):

    Check with the manufacturer of system (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems) updated
    BIOS, drivers low-level chipset and drivers of devices shipped major. Run
    DriverView - value VIEW drivers hide Microsoft - update those without drain in their
    name.

    -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your
    System. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address
    of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
    more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

    To check system drivers manufacturer as replacements and camera manufacturer who are most
    current. Control Panel - device - Display Adapter Manager - note the brand and
    fill out the template tab of the driver for your card video - double-click - write down the
    the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
    certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver
    stack.

    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if
    3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers you
    a.

    Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), and then
    Site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions.
    (Review of the BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system while there).

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
    After each installation.

    Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
    actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
    (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
    installed and repeat if necessary.

    Repeat BTW to the manufacturers - manufacturers of devices DO WORK DO NOT THEIR SCANNER-
    manually check by model.

    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    }

    I'm also interested in how to do this without the use of a step.

    But, if you are ready to use a step for this, you can create a useful first step (without borders) with its owner being your current stage. Then, you can call the function showAndWait on stage that allows to block the thread of your application. For example, I implemented a DialogStage like this:

    package hs.mediasystem.util;

    import javafx.animation.KeyFrame;
    import javafx.animation.KeyValue;
    import javafx.animation.Timeline;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.effect.ColorAdjust;
    import javafx.stage.Modality;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.stage.StageStyle;
    import javafx.stage.Window;
    import javafx.stage.WindowEvent;
    import javafx.util.Duration;

    public class DialogStage extends Stage implements Dialog {

      public DialogStage() {
        super(StageStyle.TRANSPARENT);

        this.setTitle("MediaSystem-dialog");

        initModality(Modality.APPLICATION_MODAL);
      }

      protected void setParentEffect(Stage parent) {
        ColorAdjust colorAdjust = new ColorAdjust();

        Timeline fadeOut = new Timeline(
          new KeyFrame(Duration.ZERO,
            new KeyValue(colorAdjust.brightnessProperty(), 0)
          ),
          new KeyFrame(Duration.seconds(1),
            new KeyValue(colorAdjust.brightnessProperty(), -0.5)
          )
        );

        parent.getScene().getRoot().setEffect(colorAdjust);

        fadeOut.play();
      }

      protected void removeParentEffect(Stage parent) {
        parent.getScene().getRoot().setEffect(null);
      }

  • How to show a popup (confirm) dialog box as well as exec warning a proc

    I would like to have a confirmation popup dialog box display whenever a user chooses to delete a record. I understand how to do this, but I don't know how to have a stored procedure to run after the user selects ok in the dialog box.

    How can I get a stored procedure to run after the user confirms that this is indeed what they want to do in the dialog box?

    I have this in the JavaScript page-> service and the Global Variable declaration section:
    var htmldb_delete_message = ""DELETE_CLASS_CONFIRM_MSG "";

    The button Delete is the value of action-> URL redirection
    JavaScript:apex.confirm (htmldb_delete_message, 'DELETE_CLASS_CONFIRM_MSG');

    The process of the stored procedure is set to run to submit with the button Delete.

    Right now, nothing is happening when they confirm the popup dialog box. If I get the popup dialog, removing works very well, but (of course), the user can accidentally do something they don't want.
    Thank you very much
    Reid
    Request Express 4.0.1.00.03

    Hey Reid,

    The second parameter in the call to confirm is not supposed to be the message again - this is supposed to be the value to the APPLICATION. If you would like to be, "DELETE_CLASS" and then you would make your conditional removal on request = DELETE_CLASS process.

    Hope this helps,
    John
