How to make a form read-only

I am fairly new to the world of the creation of PDF files, and more specifically of formulas. I created a form with a number of text fields and have the form in the format I want to use. I've added the ability for users to fill in the boxes and then save the PDF file using the ' Reader Extended PDF > activate forms fill-in & Save in Adobe Reader "."

What I won't do is allow the user to save on the master, they are open, I want that they forced to ' save under... ». Apart from make the file read-only Windows, which, I guess as will work, is there a way to force to "Save As"... "with Acrobat X Standard or reader?

Thanks in advance

I answered the question myself, definition of the attributes of windows to RO gives me the desired effect.

Thanks for yous assistance try67

  • Make the form read-only if a field is filled

    Is there a way to do an entire form read-only if a certain text field is filled?  I know that adding a digital signature to a form field, increases the size of the screen, so I prefer not to add a digital signature field in my form.  However, I would like the feature that says after the form is signed, it is read-only.  I have added a text box to the form and tried to add a script that read: if (this.rawValue! = "") (this.access = "readOnly"), but it did not work.  Is there a way I can accomplish this without adding a signature to the form field?

    Hello

    It depends on where you have placed the script, probably the best place is the exit event.

    if (this.rawValue != null || this.rawValue != "")
    {
         this.access = "readOnly";
    }
    else
    {
         this.access = "open";
    }

    It blocks only the field that the script is inside.

    You should check the example of Paul LockAllFields, which contains a function in a script object. Whereas Paul calls it a click to a button event, you could call it the output of the particular text field event.

  • Make the form read-only

    When I use PDF transformation, the fields that have been hidden in my form are now visible. How can I get an exact copy of the submitted form and do what he read-only?

    If I can save someone the time I spent struggling with this problem, I'll be happy. My script has been called on a change to a drop-down list event. I added the script to the initialize event of fall down as well and now it works perfectly. I tried to fix this in the orchestration, but the solution was in the designer.

  • How to make dynamic fields read only in live cycle Designer

    Hi people

    I created a form in livecycle WAA are. Some fields must be read from the beginning. So I put the property .access 'open '. In versions of Adobe 8 it works, but in the last version, it won't so I think this should be done via an alternative. Does anyone know how?

    Maybe the code below can help... The loop runs through all the pages in the PDF form and make them protected. If the user is unable to change any value in the form.

    for (var i = 0; i)< xfa.host.numpages;="">
    {
    var oFields = xfa.layout.pageContent (i, "field");
    var nodesLength = oFields.length;

    define the type of access to be protected for all fields
    for (var j = 0; j)< nodeslength;="">
    {
    oItem = oFields.item (j) var;
    oItem.access = 'protected ';
    }
    }

    Hello Jmbtexas4,

    By default, you will need to individually click on the fields of the form and check the 'read only' and save it. From now on, it is not possible to select all together and make the changes.

  • How to make a form with report and a form of inclusion in the same page?

    Hey, guys:

    I was wondering if you could have any link or examples to show how to make a form with report and a form of inclusion in the same page, these two forms are related to the same table. Our customer wants that a user can add a new row to the table in a form and see all lines created by this user in a report, the report should provide link change as well. the problem is: whenever I inserted a new line or change a line or delete a line, and submitted and return to this page, all hidden elements lost their values, this report is empty, and some display only items also lost their values. Could someone give me any suggestions?

    Thank you very much!

    Sam

    So, the problem is essentially with page elements lose their session state values when re-loading of the page. How do you define values for the elements of the hidden page? You have default values defined for those? They are based on the database column? What is the "Source" parameter for these items on the page? It is set to "Always, replace any value in session state"? You have any process of 'Empty the Cache', which is reset these values to null element?

    What is your version of the Apex?

    I would recommend that you have installed for example in apex.oracle.com. This would help to better understand the issue.

  • Save a reader extended PDF form read-only

    Prior to this announcement, I searched for hours in forums and the internet on how to get there, but I can't find the solution.

    I created a simple form in Acrobat and saved with player so he can be saved by my colleagues in Adobe Reader, once informed extended attributes. The problem is now they need to send these customers but in an unbearable state. I don't know if this is possible, but I'm hoping for a simple solution if someone could help me, thanks.

    Create a button somewhere on the form and add the following code to the mouse event to the top:

    // Set these fields to read-only
    getField("Text1").readonly = true;
    getField("Text2").readonly = true;
    getField("Check Box1").readonly = true;
    // continue for any other fields

    // Hide this button
    event.target.display = display.hidden;

    Use only the actual field names that you use in your form. Users should be sure to save as a new file, and I would say that they put the blank form read-only via the file system so that they don't accidentally overwrite it.

    Are you sure you want to use an extension for jdev 10.1.3?
    If you are using a version of jdev other then 10.3.1 this extension does not work.

    You can easily this archive by using the tool external jdev and add a command shell with the file selected as a parameter...

    Dear Stephanie,

    Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem and it was pretty simple.

    I created a transient in the VO and attached attribute the transitional attribute to the property read-only from the field using SPEL (${oa.) XxamsfdbdtlrVO1.Viewenb}).

    Select the line that you want to update and run it.

    row.setAttribute ("Viewenb", Boolean.TRUE);

  • How to receive: the screen read-only recipes

    I did ' Reception > recipes ' train 'Read only' for certain responsibilities using forms of customization, available in Oracle Forms.
    I removed the access of Delete/Update/Insert on BLOCK = RCV_TRANSACTION as header for these responsibilities.

    However, now when I go to this feature of these specific responsibilities, after executing a default search of the 'find should Receipts", I get the repeated warnings.

  • How to edit a file read-only?

    PDF files that I used to be able to change to are now read only all of a sudden.  In the top bar, it is said "you opened the file conforms to the PDF/A standard and was opened in read-only to prevent the change.» How to change that so I can make changes? Under security properties, it says signing and filling out forms is permitted. I have Adobe Reader X.

    In the Adobe Reader preferences, turn off PDF/A mode.
