How to make a three-way color mix (and rounded edge effect)?

For what it's worth, I use Illustrator CS5 but I guess that any solution will apply to all versions.

In practice, I pretty well where I have to so is not an immediate problem, but I don't know there are much better ways to achieve the effect, and I would like to have in stock for any future reference. I don't know if it is a fundamental issue that I should be able to understand easily or a challenge for practitioners more advanced; Whatever it is, I would be grateful for any suggestion.

The final product I was looking for - sort of - is shown here:

3-colour-triangle-blend.gif

The two elements that I struggled with were:

  1. Mix colors where they join - especially the mixture of three lanes in the Middle, which, in the end, I avoided by placing another object on top! I've resorted to a manual, tedious and inaccurate approach point by point using grids and it didn't really deliver what I wanted, which was a join without seam between colors.
  2. Get the effect of an edge rounded up to the level of the perimeter of the triangle - I used the same technique of mesh-and-guessing (and it shows).

In any solution can anyone suggest, one of the important things should be able to dictate the distance on which the mixture and the frame work, where the colours merge both the edges rounded. Feel free, also, to start from the beginning with "first of all, build your triangle" - I realized, as I did, that there are different ways to do it, and it may be best that special mixture for one approach.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Giles.

Do as Mike or Steve said (this is so Steve, turned to color points) adds a blur the edge traced triangle: in the layers panel select the clipping mask, copy and paste in front, choose a stroke color (that of tannish), align the race inside, add Gaussian blur. Play with value of blur and the race until you are satisfied.

  • Three-Way Color Corrector eyedropper tool works only on the second screen in OSX Maverick

    Hello

Since the update to the Mavericks at work on Monday, I was unable to use the eyedropper tool to the three way color corrector on a dual monitor configuration in first Pro CC.

I have all of my panels, outside of my program monitor Panel, on a screen. When I select the Eyedropper to the three way color corrector white balance and go to the second screen where my program Panel is, he turns his back on an arrow and I cannot select anything. When I move my Panel program to display as well as others it allows me to use it as usual. Unfortunately, this is not how I work and I would like that the program works normally.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a solution. I will report to bug right now.

    Thank you.

    Hi Punker,

Thanks for posting the workaround. It is a known issue that we're investigating. FOW now workaround is to:

GoTo > System Preferences > Mission Control.

Uncheck "screens have a separate space.

System disconnection or re - start.

    The problems must be solved.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2015 - application of clip and rendering (three-way) color correction

-Every tutorial I see said: 'Drag the clip on the timeline and drag the effect to the element' - and in fact, when I do that, the clip changes color, indicating that the effect has been applied, I guess. But then the color correction controls do not seem to enable editing. I guess I sort of myself painted in a corner UI by freezing the arrangement of the components (or something - have no idea and don't hit FWIW, no button or options which do not seem to have the effect of blocking the UI) so that the color correction controls are hidden. I know it sounds like a silly problem, but I would greatly appreciate a clue, if you have any suggestions to offer.

If you have your clip on the timeline and apply the color corrector effect three way, once you have dragged the effect to the clip with the clip still highlighted (selected) on the timeline, click the effect options panel.

  • Anyone know how to make a splash of color to a black and white photo?

Good so I scoured internet and I still have not found an answer to this question. All I'm trying to do is make one part of the image of color and the rest always black and white. The original photo I have is black and white and I would like to make this very clear: I don't want the entire image colorized. Yes, there is someone who really knows how to do this?

This is a very common technique, because it turns out, and there are tons of ways to get there.

Starting with brute force and back, create an empty layer above your B & W layer. Set the blending Mode of the layer of the Virgin of color.

Choose the color that you want to work, take a brush (B) and go to town. The blending mode to show through values (grey levels). You can paint with colors you like on this mixed layer.

If you use only a single color, but it may change from time to time (say by brand or something), to re-learn a layer of white, use a color fill layer (layer > new fill layer > solid color). In this case, you would add a layer of fill color, fill the black mask, and then paint with white on the mask to reveal the color.

If you want to keep the original in one place color, replace the white layer with the color version and use the masking technique just described.

Let me know if you need help on any of these details and I'll try to find some specific tutorials for you online.

  • How to make a library theme colors in shades?

I'm learning to use color.adobe.com. I know that the "Download" button has disappeared, so I can't download an ASE file.

I can get a color theme of Kuler in my library, which is not the issue.

What I don't understand how to get those colors in the swatch Panel. I could use a 3rd-party color picker app, but then, why even bother with Kuler and libraries if I choose a colors and their names in the swatches Panel, one by one? It seems that should be an easy way to directly transfer the library theme colors in the swatches Panel, but it's not obvious to me.

When you're in your Office Adobe software - as long you have sync would be with the creative cloud - your swatches of color should be in the option menu libraries in the sub-category of the "color Themes".

Once you read those, you can select the individual color just by clicking on each of them. And if you want to add to your color chart, you select just each color you want to add from your color themes and then click the 'New' button in the menu color chart to add.

    Hope that helps!

  • The color mixer and other questions tool

Hey. I have Photoshop CS4, which I use with enough success for digital art and pixel, but there is still a lot to the program that is unknown to me and trying to google an answer isn't getting me anywhere. I have a few questions.

Is there some sort of color Blender tool in CS4? Color mixer, I mean something that let me easily to choose two different colors and generate a range of colors between them. The http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/ tool is an example of a program that does what I hope that Photoshop can do.

Is it possible to simultaneously display my Web times zoomed in and her real size that I draw? This is mainly of SNES, where close-up art can look really different from the actual product. A small canvas size in the corner of my screen to update that I made changes to the zoom art would allow me to save the time I spend to juggle magnifiers.

Is there way to keep the smudge with a full opacity tool? When in use, the burrs from the edges of color on an empty space makes it start to become transparent. As of now, I just get rid of it by multiplying layer a few times and then merge, is but there a way to disable that?

If there is no specific ways to do these things, any suggestions or guides that you know would be useful too. Thank you!

Another possibility and more of what Chris suggested - try to make the Navigator Panel visible through Window - Navigator.  The advantage of this is that it tells you which part of the image you zoom-in on.

  • How to make a backup of the drivers and applications

I have a HP Pavilion Desktop PC all-in-one 23-B115EA, originally with Windows 8 installed which I have updated to 8.1 of the store.  After a problem, I was advised to create a System Image on an external hard drive, what I've done.  I also have a recovery disk including the recovery on a USB Partition and a new Restore Point.

The reason why I write, is that what follows has been also sugested "Furthermore, make a backup of the drivers and Applications.» Still, if the hard drive needs to be replaced, you will need to install all the drivers and perhaps some applications again for which you have this backup. "I don't know how to do on the PC and I was wondering if it was possible.

    Best regards, Mike-01

    Mike, you're welcome.

I know that in the past, there are third-party programs that could back up the drivers, but I could not find one to win 8.1.  With respect to applications, the CD recovery and Image will be all you need.

There is no way real go one way both on and under a different path, so you usually simply cut where you want that to happen.

  • three-way color controls are different

I looked at a few tutorials, and my way three color controls seem to be very different from what they have.  How can I get my upgraded?  I have the latest version of speedgrade.

Looking probably to 'old' wheels, with the control of Luma-contrast around the outside ring in this tutorial... and CC2014, they put the sliders luminance in the form of vertical bars to the left of each wheel. It was an attempt to be "coherent", I guess you could say, and for many using a mouse, control was probably rather not intuitive. You must click on it and move your a mouse senses, happened around or 'up' in value, the other way it happened autour and 'down' in value... so good, a straight line is more obvious, right?

Well... I had stumbled on a Kensington Expert Mouse trackball... by using a ball 2 "with a surround-ring control and four large paddle/tab buttons on a device 4" square, which kind of works like a 'surface' of the poor. With a Wacom pen - tab on my left (I'm a lefty) so I click to check something with the stylus, and then move the spinner ring or wheel depending on whether I wanted to color or luma changes... a click anywhere on this assembly/ring-color wheel, I worked together. Now, I need to click on the color wheel, the slider for luma... not as much as swift & handy.

But you can't go back. I spoke with several people involved in Sg during the last two of the NAB-Vegas on this subject, and they give me their condolences. But he's not coming back. It's like him will highlight text Blue Gold dark in the same "ish"... which is also not going back. Well.

I'm still working in it that my preferences would be the old installation. And hey, they are wonderful people to meet in person also. Although sympathy is what you get...

(although the expanses of Nice Sg who arrived with the 2014 release... that I had been crying out to get... have been wonderful to have!)
