So I added event handlers for the passage of the mouse as well as the rollOver events (I don't know which event gets actually produced on hovering over the menu bar horizontally). In the case of managers, I called the Event.preventDefault () method to prevent the default behavior (ie the opening of pop-up submenus).  But nothing works. I felt like I have no control over it.
